My brother took my calculator without asking. I asked him why he did it, and he said because if I asked you, you'd say no... He's done it before, with money and stuff. It's annoying. I need my calcualtor because it's go dual line display. When you're calcualting mortgages, a dual line display calcualtor is your best friend!

 

In other news, the pedal on my bike snapped in half... On Monday,  was riding all over town, and somewhere on the edge of town, while going up a hill, I put so much weight on it, that it just snapped. I almost fell into a ditch (which, being beside a hill, was about 20 feet down...)

 

Anyway, my moms new house is across from our city's 32nd tallest building! A whole 6 flors It's huge, and tenement like.. And it's near a community centre, fitness centre, auditorium, baseball diamond, more than a dozen shopping centres, schools, parks, university, hospitals, and a while bunch of other things... Except a convinience store The only on is New Mart Italian Food Palace and it's closed... You have to walk 4 blocks and down a hill, to get to a Mac's that has hardly anything... And we're only 6 blocks from downtown... But, it's all downhill to get ythere, so it;'ll take long to get back. It's a nice apartment, but the location... To go there from my dads is easy, is virtually down the street and ablock over, and downhill the entire way, youdon't have to pedal once. Takes about 5 minutes, tops, to get there.. But geting back, took me almost 15 minutes. I walked part of the way, because the hill is to big. It's good that it's downhill there, but getting back is all uphill, and you start to hurt after just 2 blocks... And then, going downtown is downhill, so you can't get back... THe south end is downhill, so you can't get up... It's kinda flat but slightly uphill to the University and Hospital. So, it's hard to get around there. But it comes with free cable!

Here in Wasaga it is the weekend that opens the summer touri$t season. Combining IT with social work means that both sides of your brain get used to the max I should think. No, the site is in the Netherlands, and the person who said that is from Australia. One of the kids at my school has made a .tk site as well.

@crazyarchitect: Well, happy birthday anyway. Burger and coke materialize on the table. Our Misty is a retired queen. The cattery was folding (friends) so we got her for the price of having her spayed. She has a Ch. and has had one litter. Hard to believe, since she is just two years old, and weighs five pounds.

@Leech10: Ok, our three cheese blend is mozzarella, provolone, and ementhal. The extra cheese is shredded gruyere. Large pizza arrives as specified. Bread sticks are dripping with garlic butter The dipping sauce is our own blend.

@ Fairlane500: Marionberry llamamilk shake materializes. I prefer arctic currants to blackberries, but to each his own. Current forecast for the May 24 weekend is sunny and seasonably cool (20�C ++) from now until Tuesday in Wasaga Beach. The OPP detachment is getting reinforcements from all over the area. Going to be a nice big party. Last year's was a washout. It isn't supposed to rain again until Tuesday.

Well the initiation of action against my problematic staff member finally ocurred today.  Even though I fully anticipate much more drama to come, it was still a weight off of my shoulders.  I am definitely not going to be on that person's Christmas card list.  HR and my chain of command are backing me though. My supervisor told me that it would not be a good thing if I was comfortable with taking the necessary actions.

The life lesson is that I don't have to be liked in order to expect to have the authority of my position respected.  I probably should have carried that lesson from when I was a frontline social worker with clients.

 

Change of subject:  Spring '05 is already considered to be one of the chillier ones in the books here in the metropolitan D.C. area.  Supposedly only a handful of 80 something degree days so far.  It's not unusual to have seen a few 90

I am glad you were able to resolve your HR problem. These things are always difficult and are harder on management than on the employee.

It has been a better than average spring here in Huronia, but last week was cold. The forecast for the weekend is great.

In Canada, if you are here awaiting a hearing on your refugee claim and have been waiting 3 months, I think it is, you are covered by the Canada Health Act. The basic problem with the WOGS is that they can get in at all. I would prefer internment camps at Moosonee.

Both Geography and Meteorology are mainly memory work. If you are spending too much time with computers, maybe you should look into careers in your field that are related to IT. Anyway, the Factory wants all its student customers to get at least a 3.8 GPA in their last year. On with the catch up task.

@Leech10: Watches the frolicing zukes. Oh, aren't they just cute! The model is coming along slowly. I am thinking now about how I am going to work in the zuke playground along with the dragon pond. The lot I showed may not be the final layout, as I may have to have a STOL port for the zukes. Meanwhile, I am getting ready to finish the miscellaneous stuff such as roof ducts, the HVAC system, the electric meter, and, of course, the reinforcing for the rest of the building to sustain the weight of the neutronium walls.
