Hmm, anything, you say?

Then can I have a full 5-course meal? 3.gif

Ah well. This looks like a nice place, maybe I'll settle in and hang around for a while.

Good evening, ladies and genlemen. I am happy to see a good crowd with many newcomers this evening. Here is the message board.

@Bookworm: Welcome wyrm! Of course, we have llama ice cream. If you think of a flavour, the autochef will transport it to you. Dish or cone?

@Leech10: Not if it harms the zukes in any way. What kind of a monster do you think I am?

@Mayor of Tempest Lake: Welcome, Mr. Mayor. Your order is between you and the autochef. It should arrive ... Food and drink materialize ... momentarily. For those of us unfamiliar with your comestibles, perhaps you would be good enough to describe them further?

@Shadow_Assassin: The autochef serves the five course meal. Looks like escargot bourguignon, Vichysoisse, chateaubriand bouquetiere, creme caramel and a plate of fruit and cheeses. We have a nice dry Entre Deux Mers Rouge to help that along if you would like?

@Shadow_Assassin: Welcome to the Moose Factory. Doh! you accidentially formatted your system? A Coors light with a chilled glass appears. Enjoy your beer, you need it. Leech10 is a little abrupt, but I do hope you have the necessary installation media. You seem to have got yourself in an untenable situation. Formatted is formatted is wiped out. It would cost more to undo that than your machine is worth. Reinstall your operating system and go from there. BTW, if you weren't running XP, now is a very good time to switch to it.

All you need to do is get another zuke to cut the zuke armor off of the zukes back, and repeat until you have enough. The zuke armor grows back by the time you start cutting again, just don't go too deep or you will have an angry zuke, and a bloody mess to clean up. (The zuke would heal from that in a few seconds.)

As long as you don't go too deep, it doesn't harm the zuke. Also, switch zukes once in awhile to give the other one a break.

I am sure glad it's the weekend.  The problematic employee continued to be a snitty jerk.  My immediate sup gave me a professional heart to heart and reassured me that it's definitely okay to act much more assertively to quash the snittiness.   It sure has been a lot easier to do as a staff member here.3.gif

Nice transport system.  One of these days I'll order more than just fancy coffee.

well you guys remember that play that i was 'complaining' about awhile back?? well yesterday was the big day and we performed it. It was the best ever! and for the first time.... the girls actually said i did it right! Yet i guess the only reason was because i was extremely hyper because of 2 days of straight testing for IB and no way to really release my energy.

So i guess that since everyone liked it i didnt mess up too much...lol

Speaking of testing im done!! NO MORE FINALS!! yay! so i can do something alittle less important to but more important to me...ST and SC4!! w00t...

so the updates for two CJs im working on will come i cant wait... ive missed my ST and SC4 doses for the past week...

Another thing, that some of you all know but not everyone, is that im moving to Charlotte next month from my humble home of 10 years Charleston, WV. The good news is the school im going to next year is the #56 High School in America for acedemics and I might be going to a football game or two this fall. My dad has been down there in Charlotte since he got transfered in Feburary and we are going down to Charlotte for the first time since then next weekend. Im so excited! Aslo as most of you know me and my sister have been plauged by slow internet...well no more once we get down there because I've finally convinced my parents to get it! YAY!

Well if i havent divulged enough of my life to everyone i think im gonna quit...

It doesn't have to be like this...all we need to do is make sure we keep talking.

Monotony and excess are the destroyers of worlds, of grand men, and grand doings.

I recently saw an old Red Scare poster advertising the '4 Freedoms', one of which was 'Freedom from want'. I disagree. I think Freedom OF want would be a admirable attribute in any society. We should always be allowed to aspire to something, and should never be permitted to become content.

To use a poor analogy...imagine a role playing game, in which there is a level cap. once you reach that level cap, or, and this is important, the highest level you as a player can achieve at your ability, what do you do?

This should never be allowed to happen, as excess inevitably leads to decay, and detstruction. For it will lead you to search for 'The good times' that you have now found do not in fact exist, by methods you never would have used when raising your standard of living before.

So when you are at the top, what do you do? Two answers. 1) Destroy what you have. This works initally, but you ever tried playing an RPG twice? Depression. 2) Go very cynical on life, eventually leading to depression 3) Search for 'The good times' in all the wrong places. Decay. 4) Help others to reach your plateau, but never allow them to...therefore trapping them in a life of constantly aiming towards something. A noble life.

Eneumbered forever by desire and ambition
    There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road we've been so many time

I've been told three times this week to 'Not be so emo' =D I'll have a scotch on the rocks.

@Leech10: Interesting. Can it be textured or painted?

@Bookworm: Done Enjoy. About your handle: Does it reflect your being?

@ Shadow_Assassin: OK, no problemo. Want another beer? How about something to eat?

@Joesocwork: Well, it sounds to me like this guy is eligible for hierarchial exfoliation, because he sure seems to have reached his level of cognitive incompetence. Enjoy your latte. Would you like a snack? We have a nice shrimp ring over there on the bar in the finger foods.

@ The Terminator: Welcome back TT. You can see that the 'bots have been recycled with the automatic service system. We use transporters now: the advanced version, no lights or bubbles, just air swap to cut the noise. The system is efficient and silent. The hotshot in the parking lot powers the whole thing. Beer? How old are you again? See if there is any alcohol in this one. The same autobar controls are still here.

@thatmonkeysim: Ah, so. I am glad it went well. Now let's get this right, you are moving from Charleston, West Virginia to Charlotte, North Carolina? How far is that. Sounds like a good move. I take it you will have a DSL service line. Will you have a router between the machines and the line? I have a four bagger make by Linksys.

@Carpman: Autobar meterializes a large whiskey. Freedom OF want: Well, in Toronto they have a lot of people who practice that. They are the homeless who live on the city streets. The bleeding hearts in the city feed them, clothe them, shelter them from the cold when necessary, and feed their alcohol addictions. This costs the city millions, and the bleeding hearts have become an industry with its hand in the public purse. If the mayor had the guts to enforce the existing bylaws, they would save a bundle. Meanwhile, this has become a growth industry and the city has become the destination for all kinds of people seeking Freedom OF want. Frankly, OM, you have got to be joking.

Zuke armor is easily painted, but you need something harder than it to make it feel like something else, such as bricks. The only thing harder than the zuke armor is a zuke's claws, so you will need a zuke to do that. With a zuke's help, you can make zuke armor look like just about everything, and as it is clear right off of the zuke, it can also be used as a shatterproof window as well.

@ N_O_Body Well Charleston to Charllote is a 287mi[478km] trip so its not that bad but its still hour trip.

Right at the moment we have only 1 computer but my parents might get a new one down there but right now we dont know. Also it will most likely be a BellSouth connection so it would be broadband and not DSL...

@Carpman: Its somewhere in Shakespeare, I think. If you are a Brit, it should be in your culture.

@Leech10: OK, well maybe I'll find a way to use it as a graphic texture. Anyway, I am currently thinking of roof junk, window transparency (There is a neat, tesselated Nonny Moose rug), and things like electric meters. With a restaurant there is all the fan junk for the kitchen and the vents for the washrooms, etc. I could use the canned ones from the Phillipbo Tutorial, but I think I'll do my own, this time.

@thatmonkeysim: Broadband? Does that mean you can't share it for phone service? I only have one line (ADSL) into my house and have the phones and the computers on it. All work simultaneously.

@Bookworm: OK, feel welcome. There is miscellaneous finger foods on the bar if you get peckish

Hot Spring Rolls with Sweet and Sour

Tiny Meat Balls with Swedish or Italian Sauces

    Miniature Chicken Flautas

@ thatmonkeysim: Well, enjoy. If you have only had dial-up up to now, you won't believe how nice a fast line is. What is the speed of your broadband line?

@Leech10: You must be clairvoyant. We had a turkey dinner last night. the autochef raids the icebox Enjoy your mixed platter. There is whole cranberry sauce with this as well. I take it you took the zukes to see Episode III. Tough on the trees though, even though they are ironwood.

Yes, I say the star wars movie yesterday, right before I posted here. It was pretty good, the only problem was that it was a little too dark for me.

@thatmonkeysim: Well, that is still more than twice as fast as you had. On our shared DSL we have 100 Mbps each. Since its a shared resource, I think the total line speed is something like 150 Mbps (would be faster but we are too far from the centre, and have full ack/nack set). The real advantage of DSL is that we have only one phone line.

@ Bookworm: Llamas are traditional in Simcity. Have you tried the cheat Dollyllama in the game? All your advisers eventually turn into llamas. For a full explanation, let me turn you over to The_Dalai_Llama, who I hope will answer.

@Leech10: Well, it was about the turning to the Dark Side. Life is not all bright and wonderful. Some things are dark and sting. I am glad the zukes are good conservationists. Any of them follow wicca? Druidism?

I had a long and tedious weekend. A portion of which I may or may not share with you!

Kay, umm... I was away Friday cuz I had to help mom move into the new place. I probably won't be there until near the end of the month, when she gets a startup cheque. Anyway, I spend most of the day over at the new house (no, it's really a basement) unpacking some of our stuff (we though we'd have too little things for the new place, we have too much..)... On saturday... my memory of Saturday is a blur... Long weekends do that to you14.gif I think we went grocery shopping or somehting.. Hmm...

Sunday... I brought the computer over, and Monday I stayed there, and set it up and unpacked more stuff. Anyway, as soon as we get the startup cheque, (by the end of the month) since we don't need to buy furniture (the place came furnished, with the smallest chesterfield [because there is a difference between chesterfields and couches] ever!) we can use some of that to pay off our 400$ phone bill and re connect the internet! (after they disconnected our service, we kept the phone and modem, and that stuff is expensive. Only about 40$ if for the actual monthly bill, and that's all we'll need to pay, since we can proove nothing happened to the phone or modem) Also, the connection wil be almost immediate, since the place already has internet service hook up stuff installed (they just have to turn it on) and TBayTel replaced ALL of it's ADSL lines, with a 5mbps service (the old was about 1.5-3, depending on the package you got) and it's the same flat price, (35.99, since we aren't considered new customers anymore. For just 15$ more, they will throw in a phone line!) so we'll have even faster internet than before! Not that you care..

Yesterday it went up to 70F, and I was really really hot and uncomfortable. We woke up to 55F today... And it could go up to almost 75F, depending on the conditions this early afternoon. Tomorrow, thunder storms. The recent heat wave is reason number 47b why I hate summer. (47a is UV rays. Intrusive, intrusive, UV rays.)

    Thought for today:
Black Bears are dangerous, and you should NEVER ride them. Big Blue Bears are okay, but Black Bears are a no-no.

    Explanation coming up!

In a CNN webchat , Will Wright explained that Maxis needed a mascot of sorts, choosing the llama over the likes of the tape worm and the tree fern, however, Will also said the llama references were an homage to Monty Python, according to a Will Wright chat event at SimCity.com.  Either way, he brought great joy to the llama community.  And that's why llamas rule the world... except Canada.  The moose run that country. 3.gif

As for the llama products, llama milk became a staple beverage among the SimCity BBS crowd and expanded to the Moose.  Llama milk is the most popular item here, just behind Joe's lattes and poutine.

It seems real life has returned with work and play taking over, which explains my absence the past few days.  I'll be around all summer, but not as often as usual.  Warm weather can do that sometimes.

However, since today is gloomy and rainy, I'll have a hot chocolate with llama milk, of course.
