Hey people. I'm Leo's best friend. I play SC4 some, but not as much as Leo. All I can say is that I'm a 93er (that's the group of 14 year olds, right?) and I finally joined. So, hey all.

Dang Blasted Worm Holes !

One never knows where one will wind up! Oh well.... Let's see.... A Noony Moose did give me the coordinates... so I guess it is lucky I did not wind up in a Black Hole!

I am new to this board, but have been around the boards for many years. I have run many a board over time. I have been (and am serving currently as) an Administrator, Super/Global Moderator and/or Moderator on a few boards.

After serving as the Chief Administrator for my University's computer network; I have just recently been named Dean Emeritus for my University.

Some of you, I am sure know me, as I have always used this same name. Others, I look forward to meet you. I feel a stranger is a friend I have not yet met.

I wish EVERYONE a great day!

PS.. all that accomplished, and I still cannot spell half the time lolbanner.gif

Always remember the main difference between a CYLON and a DALEK is that when you open a Cylon, all you can do is Toast some Bread.

But when you open a Dalek, you have a nice tasty treat inside, good cold, or cook it in it's own container.

Hi all.  By now some people have already seen me make a few appearances in the chat room.  I've been browsing around Simtropolis for a couple of months now, just seeing how everyone is approaching Simcity 4 in particular.  So far this site has been very helpful.

Well, a little about myself, I'm a 19 year old (soon to be 20 in a few months) college student that resides in San Diego (hence my screen name, which those who have seen Anchorman should be familiar with).

I hope to contribute to some of the topics and STEX in the future.  I've got a few good ideas I'd like to share, but won't happen until I get a hang of all these customizing applications and programs.

Have a good day.

Hello, my actual name is Matt, I'm a 25 year old student at Evergreen State College (Go Geoducks Go!) who grew up with the Simcity franchise but never really got the hang of SC4. Periodically I show up at this site determined to learn how not to suck, and how to use all the shiny mods.

Hi guys,

I'm msproll21 and I'm a TS2 player. I recently bought SImCitySocieties but due to the lack of complexity of the game, I pulled out and dusted off my copy of SC4. I haven't play this in YEARS so getting back into the game is new for me.

As for me, I'm a domestic engineer (housewife) and part time college student. I enjoy playing the sims, reading, hanging out with my family and basically enjoying life. I look for to being active on this site.

Hi all,

I'm living in Holland and I'm a true Simcity addict. I am 37 yrs old right now and I am working from home (ICT, video-editing and some web stuff).

Simcity is a really great game and I love the City Journals some members here have. I am truly impressed by their work.

I built some own regions with the terraformer program and am now building on it, but not that impressive so far, but you have to start somewhere of course.

Of course it's not a contest and let there be no arguing about tastes..

My newest region is some variety of the Budapest (Hungary) region. A big river (Danube) crossing and in the centre there's an island. The west bank has some hills and mountains and the east bank is flat, like in Budapest (I've been there a few times when travelling from Holland to Romania). I named this region after one of my best female friends: Octavia.

If someone can tell me how to keep kind of a city journal, I would appreciate that 4.gif

I have one question to add: why do river and water connections between cities sometimes look so awful (has to do with the edges thing, but only seems to happen in north-south directions).

Greetings,

Jan

Greetings all!

I first played this game many, many moons ago. I think it is what would now be called Sim City Classic. This was on one of those old Macs with a handle built into the top and you had to load your RAM from a floppy. No joke. The last version I played was Sim City 2k, which I quite enjoyed, but that was nearly 8 years ago. And now here I am with SC4, just treated myself to it yesterday.

I'm from St. Louis, MO and now live in Lawrence, KS and I'm forty-mdfgsdjka years old.

I don't know how much I'll post but there is a TON of information to digest here! I think I'll be doing a LOT of reading.

29-year-old male from the Detroit, MI area. I work in county government and am currently finishing up my masters degree in Urban Planning with concentrations in economic development and managing growth. I have been playing the Sim City franchise since the original (but was never really able to get into The Sims); my love of the game really was a big factor for me pursuing an education/career in urban planning.
