Hell, I've been here for a few months and I've pretty active as you can tell by my post count, but I have never introduced myself.

My name is Thomas and I am 19 years old. I am currently enrolled in my second semester of junior college and I plan on transferring to UC Berkley or UC Santa Cruz to major in Astrophysics. Fun stuff there huh? As you might have figured out, I live in California and no, the weather sucks here. It's either way too hot or way too cold.

For fun I play Sim City, jam on my guitar, hang out with friends, or speed cube. I have played Sim City for maybe 7 years? I have been one and off with it. I love playing my guitar, I have played that for maybe 5-6 years. And for those of you who have never heard of speed cubing, well, it's intense. In basic terms, I solve the Rubik's Cube as fast as I can. So far my unofficial record is 27 seconds by my tournament record is around 55 seconds (it was about 3 years ago and I get nervous!).

Well, that is me. I would like to say that I really enjoy posting here and I love all of the in depth talks people have here. The off-topic section is great for getting caught up on current events and learning a thing or two! I recommend all new members to come and listen...or...uhm...watch I guess.

Hi, I'm Aaron.

I'm a writer living in Canada and discovered Simtropolis less than a week ago. I've played all of the SimCity games up to and including SC4, but I'm usually slow to move on to the next version, so I'm fairly new to SC4.

I have always been a big SimCity fan. I even made an edited, five-second version of one of the jazz songs found on Streets of SimCity so that when I booted up my old Windows 98 machine, it would play.

Hello hello. This Moe from Montreal.

Long time SimCity fan, just picked up the game again and just found this place. Played Sim CIty 4 when it first came out, but never had the time. Was looking through couple of old games that had collected dust and found my Sim City 3000 cd. So decided to uhum...get Sim City 4 Delux and i have been playing it for a week or so now.

I have been going around this site for couple of days, one thing i learned though, and hopefully other new members read this aswell....'Organize your Plugin Folder'.

See you all around.

Welcome to Simtropolis.

Only you can make your stay worthwhile in the murky depths of Simtropolis. Only those of true mettle have waded through and survived. Many have come here boasting of their tremendous skills and knowledge only to fall to their knees before the lords and ladies that are the true substance of this forum.

Will you join the elevated ranks of Simtropolis royalty, or will you be washed away along with the rest of the ignorant sewage?

Only time will tell.

Hello, all. While my real name isn't Johnny Rakehell, it'd be pretty keen if it was. Alas, my name is far from "Johnny," and I'm about as much of a rake as a shovel. I've been a big fan of Sim(insert franchise suffix here) for a good while. I have vague memories of playing Simcity 2k way back on the computers in grade school. I got into SC4 when I realized that you could create zones for the Sims 2, and I've been ghosting around here for a few days. Oh, and I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that SC4 works with Windows 7 2.gif

Welcome to the site. Although I personally run SC4 under Mac OS X 10.5: Leopard (which runs the game fine), I'm sure others will be happy to know that Microsoft's latest offering hasn't broken the game. 4.gif

Hello! I'm Brian Smith aka bosman752! I've been a member of Simtropolis for a while, but have never gotten around to posting on the forum.I'm from Nashville, TN and I'm a senior manager for a large retail company.I just wanted to say that most of the BAT architects here on the site are absolutely amazing, especially those from BSC and NDEX.But, that's not to say that most everyone here does not have great creations!!!! This may be the wrong place to request a building, but I have search the net high and low to no avail for it.It is the Life and Casuality Tower here in Nashville. It is known and the "L & C Tower" and is located on the corner of 4th Ave. and Church Street.I've tried to us BAT myself to create it, but I'm not that great at it.If any one has seen a download availible, or might be able to create it, that would be awesome.Again, thank you very much for the great content and giving me a great experience in Sim City 4!!!!

Hello everyone, I'm Blake from Houston, just introducing myself. New to the forums but a veteran of Sim City (I can remember staying up all night playing the SNES version, with the volume down so my parents wouldn't know I was up past my bedtime). I stopped playing around the time Sim City 4 came out, but got the urge last week and went out and purchased it.

Hi everyone, I'm Kev from Toronto, I'm 24 and working my way through school to become a Chartered Accountant one day, and I simply love grand strategy and civilization building games. Since getting Sim City 4, I have been glued to my chair, and have thus far failed to make a decent city that isn't drowning in debt. After finding out about this site 2 nights ago, I decided to join up, and after reading just a few articles and threads, I am beginning to see the greater web that ties the different mechanics and features of the game together. I am indebted to STomnibus for his invaluable guides and tips, MAKING MONEY THE EASY WAY being the single most useful guide I have read for this game thus far. That's about all I have to say at the moment, I hope I can become an active member of the community, and I sincerely hope I can find all the answers that continue to torment me about the game in these lovely forums

Hi everybody!   I have been a member for a long time, but never posted until recently.  My name is Shawn, I'm 28, and I live in Portland, Oregon.  I am a full-time student at Portland State University where I am majoring in environmental studies.  I have been taking classes in Urban Studies & Planning and am seriously contemplating changing my major.  I lived in Las Vegas for a few years where I was a poker dealer at Harrah's.  After the economy busted, I lost my job and came home to the Rose City.  Everyone here at ST seems really cool, and the BATters out there are amazing!  I love the works from Portland by JTPrtland and Sparky the Penguin.

Go Blazers!

So I'm 26, currently unemployed, living in Brugge, a medium sized historical city in Belgium...

I'm kinda addicted to my PC and lately also to SC4...

I came here after looking for hints & tips for getting better results in SC4... And I must say you have quite an extensive collection of usefull goodies...

Cheers
