Hi

I'm a 47 year old Computer Programmer from England but currently living and working in Barcelona. I'm a long time user of SimCity but a relative newcomer to SC4 and certainly a newcomer to Simtropolis.

May I first say thanks to all those who have contributed to this community. The range of things to download is overwhelming, almost too much so for a newcomer, it's hard to know where to start.

I followed some advice in one of the forums and downloaded The NAM which I'll install later tonight. But after that it's hard to know what to get next. Maybe I'll play with that for a bit and see what I want to do next.

Yes the amount of content is overwhelming at times. When I start looking for things to download, I think to myself "what is it I would really like to see in game?" and then I use the search on the STEX to find it. Its not unnatural to be picky about your downloads either. If you know you are not going to want it in game, don't download it

Today i had a Job shadow for my High School. I was shadowing my Mom's Coworker at Bellevue, Wa City Hall. I asked him question about the budget and how they get funding (for the new light rail project) and he said "My thumb and fingers hurt from CTRLX'ing weakness pays all the time."

Well anyways i've only been playing SC4 for maybe 2 months now and im loving it. BATs, Transit Mods. Love it.

I hope to post a City Journal or Mayor Diary soon! (what ever they call it here)

Hi, I hadn't introduce myself.

I come from the Netherlands and live near Arnhem, a medium sized city, in the East. (It lies above sealevel and has hills). Maybe you know the city as the side of Operation Market Garden. I am 18 years old and study architecture. I play SC4 since 2003 or so. Deluxe Edition is new for me: I bought it a few weeks ago. I hope I can share nice cities with you and learn a lot about this game.

Hello. new around here, just started simcity 4 after picking it up due to boredum. played some of the older ones back in the day.
