I'm surprised I never noticed this thread before.

I'm 26 and a department supervisor with a company that monitors the news media for corporate and government clients. I have a bachelor's degree in sociology and race my bicycle as an amateur for a small local team.

48.gifFinally somewhere I can post, have been lurking for sometime but never had any thing to contribute (learn more from reading than writing) and have learned lots! I'm 50+ (on the far side of that +) and am retired.  Use to work for USAF  (in Sacramento CA) but lost job in the last round of base closures.  It was okay for me because I could retire but some of our folks had to go far far away!  I was first exposed to Sim City when a young Lt working in my office brought in the game and played it at work (only at lunch time!).  Didn't have a computer at home at the time but when I did get one SC was one of the first things I bought for it.  I also like to read and watch movies, but spend most of my days now on the computer playing games and lurking in forums.

Hey! My name is Damon, I work at an independent auto repair shop doing whatever needs to be done...it's in fashionable Woodbury, MN21.gif, I grew up there- but now live in Hudson, WI. It's about a 20 min. drive to work. I know it's not part of the original question, but also: I'm 26, in a happy relationship w/ the perfect girl36.gif, unmarried (not for long), renting a duplex (maybe moving soon- don't want to buy yet), made it through high school (couldn't stand anymore)14.gif, am pretty conservative (yes, voted for Bush both times!39.gif), Christian, and LOVE my country (yes, it is the greatest country in the world- look at the facts: we consistantly have the highest immigration population ,per capita, of any country in the world. If we suck so much [like everyone says], why does everyone want to move here or change their culture to mimic ours?!). GOD BLESS, and thanks to those members who are serving this country here and abroad!!!

*Please don't respond to me on this thread, though- know the rules!- PM me if you disagree with my views! (or if you're having any car troubles, I'd be glad to help!)- just, please, keep this thread clean!2.gif*

Don't worrey, this thread isen't going anywhere. Free speach is fine as long as peaple are talking about the topic and not flaming each other, Compromise.

BTW- does anybody have any info on Simgoober or PEG? I'd be nice to know a little about them!!!29.gif

Welcome to Simtropolis tbird! Ive been to Hudson, WI. In early June on a very stormy day, I stopped off at the McDonalds on 94. When I got to the counter one of the workers yelled Funnel cloud!!!. Everyone ran outside and a tornado formed. The tornado was off in the distance, so it may of been outside of Hudson, but I always wondered if anyone was hurt, or it caused much damage. I was just passing through, and ended up having to spend a scary night in my car at a rest area on 94 not far from Minneapolis, with tornados all around, and didnt get to see the news. The tornado I saw was small, I hope nobody was hurt. There sure were a lot of tornados that day.

GMT: I noticed you are an adult fan of Lego's? ME TOO! I have 10 complete sets and can build a castle one meter long by about a meter wide. I had this idea to build a complete full scale automobile body, then I found out that, Lego Museum already has one...boohoo.

I said it before but I'll summerize it again: I am a Printing Press Operator and Foreman. I make the newspaper. hehee.

ahhh lego what would we do without it? it's a shame that after 1995 they decided to make it so you could build a building with 5 pieces, but there you go.

Hello Everyone!

I am 45 and I live just outside on Kansas City.6.gif'); height=15 alt=Insert smilie 6.gif src=https://community.simtropolis.com/assets/emoticons/6.gif width=15 border=0>  I am a retired professional.  I am new to ST and I love it, almost as much as the game.  I am somewhat of a novice to the game, I have had it for only 4 months.  I am even more of a novice when it comes to work with B.A.T. and gmax though I am looking forward to mastering these and sharing my creations with the community.

Er, greetings. I will reveal secrets about my real persona.

I am not in fact a monster from a Japanese horror movie. I am one of the bosses at a Geek Squad Precinct in Austin, Texas. I am 28, and Sim City was my first bonafide PC game. I had previously played awful games on a handful of apple clones (yes, they existed) but NOTHING beat the pleasure of playing Sim City first on a Mac in black and white and then in color on my friend's father's PC.

My first PC was the much faster 20 Mhz 386 that I weaseled out of my parents, and every computer I've had since has hosted Sim City, as well as my Super Nintendo and my PDA.

Although I play most genres of games, including the type that require you to sit around in the living room with friends, I always come back to the original info-toy, the game with no end, Sim City!

Texas and Canada both have there good points. Canadians make better paper for instance. I know first hand US paper lacks the quality. Dare I say that? Well, I said it before here, I must be brutally honest, even if that means bashing myself; I live in a papermill city.

Texas is one state I haven't been to, but I have been to Canada several times, as my father in-law lives their. Just across the lake from Michigan/ Indiana. It is beautiful scenery!

Aha! I was looking for a thread like this one. 1.gif

I'm 23, British nationality and been living in France for 15 years or so (so I'm bilingual english/french)

I'm currently MCSA/MCSE certified and looking for a job.
Interests range from gaming, some sports, I learnt HTML and CSS because it's so cool, so now I do any doc in HTML (btw: does this forum support HTML tags in replies?) if I can/have time, and... Mars. Speaking of which: I need to buy RH so I can play the SimMars beta.

My name is Dan, I'm 18 years of age and live in Camberley, Surrey, United Kingdom! My town is SW of the capital London and it's home to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where Prince Harry and some Princess of Jordan are currently training!

At the moment I'm looking for a job because I just finished 6th Form College a few months back, doing the International Baccaleureate.

In ST I'm almost always found in chat talking with people but I've started to become more active in the forums, so catch me around! 44.gif
