I'd never heard of it until now so I watched the first 7½ minutes of this vid and there are certainly similarities to SimCity 4.

If you do decide to get SimCity 4, the GOG version is the very best one. It will go on sale for about $5.00 USD two or three times per year. Just keep in mind you'll want to download the Offline version (and not their Galaxy thinger). Also, the Steam version is completely fine should you prefer it.

That'll make account recovery extremely difficult.   OTOH, we could give you any old unused one from back then and you'd never know the difference.

my name is mike, im 44 from Davenport, IA. Just started SC4. I played the original SimCity on SNES back in my jr high days and I LOVED it. 

Im rockin a MacBook Air, and not really familiar with modding, so any help there would be appreciated.  Other than that, I look forward too interacting with everyone!

Hi, I'm Dan, 25, from NYC. Fairly late in the SimCity game, but started playing SC2K Special Edition for Windows 95 a few years ago. Boy, was it a struggle to get a successful city up and running, but it was worth getting the exodus "ending". Rocking a modern gaming computer that is good enough for 3D stuff (i.e. The Sims, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, Half-Life). With that, I'm looking forward to what Simtropolis has in store.

Hi everyone!

I'm from Chicago, and started playing SimCity around 1990 with the Commodore 64 version in all its 2-D glory. From there, I went on to the SNES version (probably the most hours spent with this one), and then SimCity 3000 (it looked great for its time, but I kinda lost interest with this one). 

I'm here now because of $5 GOG sale a few weeks ago, and with the mods now available, SC4 has become my current obsession (sorry other cozy games).

There is a tutorial on how to configure SC4

 

All mods featured in the tutorial except for Reshade and DgVoodoo2 are available on SC4Pac, which is the SC4 mod manager

Hi, Hello All.. Long time SC-4 fan, my favorite over all the other building games of same. I was here (this site) long ago, but, well, life has a way of taking one a different path. Now retired.. my own schedule, my own time, I can play and build cities all I want. What I am seeking too for the moment is how to get my own region in; (attached image file below).I have tried to follow per a google search, but the file (region) would not appear. Thus too, I tried SC4mapper, but the zip file continued errors.   Anyway, I build from Southern New Mexico these days, here with a new house, pets (dogs, cats), a lovely new wife. We moved here from Canada where I originally retired too - thus meeting her.
