While war files/military files are not my cup of tea at all, this is an incredibly detailed & well-researched guide. May I link to it from my Nutshell Guide page, with proper credit?

DISCLAIMER: This thread is not intended to promote racial, religious, political or ethnic bias. It is meant solely for the re-enactment of historical situations and maps. Many of the cities will be real, but that doesn't mean I've actually been to them, so please, no comments about the wrong whatever in this place or that. 1942: Soviet Union

Moscow has been spared from Hitler's Plan Barbarossa, the year before. Der Fuehrer inexplicably halts General Guderian's blitzkrieg 30 miles from the city gates. As Uncle Joe Stalin awaits Lend Lease assistance from the US,  his navy is no match for the schools of U-boats hunting the Balkan and North Seas. Kiev survives it's first bloody battle with the help of it's vastly superior T34 tanks, but will be assaulted again in 1943.

    1942: Warsaw and Auschwitz

Warsaw is in it's third year of occupation and it's ghettos are filled to capacity with citizens awaiting "relocation".  The Big "Dora" rail cannon is en route to Sevastopol to be used in it's siege. "Arbeit Macht Frei"(Work  Makes You Free) greets new arrivals from Warsaw, to the labor camp Auschwitz. In use since 1940, as a place to keep Germany's perceived enemies of the state, Heinrich Himmler will devise a new, more practical "final solution" for it in 1943. Even the night can't mask the camp's bleakness.

    1942: Germany and the Lowlands

Achtung Deutschland is official policy, as the country puts all it's focus on the war effort. From scientific labs concocting fearsome methods of destruction to the Ruhr Valley's steel mills producing even more Stukas and Panzers than ever. Meanwhile, after the much-touted Maginot Line lays impotent, Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg settle into quiet capitulation with the Nazi regime.

    1942: London

The blitz is on, as London reels from the constant bombardment of Goering's Luftwaffe. The woefully short-handed RAF and it's Spitfires were no match for German Fw190s, Me Bf109s and Junker 88s combined. Churchill successfully evacuated Dunkirk, the year before, and patiently waited US assistance. Meanwhile, Field Marshall Montgomery was busy, in pursuit of Rommel, while vying for headlines with Gen. Patton in a bid to cut off Germany's oil supply in North Africa.

    1942: Berlin

Hitler basks in the glory of his conquests, but some in the German high command are coming to realize that fighting on 2 fronts is an unsustainable position. Especially with inevitable US intervention. The second Gustav Schwerer, Dora's big brother is being readied for it's arduous journey to the French coast, where it will hopefully pummel London into submission. It will never make the trip. Requiring over 1000 men to operate and load it, and dual railroads to move it, it will ultimately prove too massive for battle, and end up scrapped for much-needed steel. It remains a footnote to Hitler's fascination with "Big" weaponry.

    1942: Occupied Paris

The jewel of Reich properties, Hitler only visited his conquest once...and never returned to the "City of Lights". Petain's Vichy government was the disdain of most Parisiennes, and public executions were performed daily against resistance fighters and enemies of the state. Pablo Picasso was one of those enemies. His art(pictured) was deemed decadent by the regime. He remained under house arrest  throughout the war, too famous to kill. France's liberation was2 years away. As US troops approached the city, Hitler gave the order to burn the city to the ground. "Is Paris burning?!" Hitler demanded. Gen. Dietrich von Choltitz ignored the order.  The lights stayed on in Paris.

It took a while. The thread is for posting military themed scenes, scenarios, regions etc. It's also a great place to go when you're experiencing an old-fashioned Amish shunning. *:D

    Mule-towns

Small local impoverished farming communities are ideal recruiting grounds for labor in the fields and in the chemical processing plants outside Luanda.

This is a great job here. *:thumb:

But I saw a large number of military dependencies by R2D2 on one of the Korean sites about 6 years ago. I think this is cafe.naver.com/sc4labs/

And I know about some military objects by SANYE (China site).

Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Ho Chi Mihn, Mao Tse Dung, Sonny Chiba, Toshiro Mifune, Pol Pot, Ghengis Khan, Buddha

^If you read that, you now know the extent of my grasp of Asian languages. It would take me a month to get a couple links off sc4labs, since my Google translate doesn't seem to work there. But if someone who speaks Chinese(hint, hint, hint, hint, hint) were to go in and get the links, I'll add them to the directory. I believe I went through SANYE's amazing work and didn't find anything militarily-speaking. The French site too.

With the current situation in the world, who knows if we'll even have any access in China by the end of the year.
