is there a mod that allows you to plop the Maxis growable buildings? not the one that I have to enter a code. that mod that places ALL growable Maxis buildings in the Landmarks section? I remember that mod used to be here, I just cant find it.

Yeah thanks for mentioning them, I had them stored away and forgot about them.  I'm going to start using them again.

So, guys, if you are still on the forum, I need your help, the residental buildings from those mods (even the R$) always say that they are abandoned due to commute time, even if they are in an empty map with fer shops and only one road. Are there any solutions?

This is a well known fault of SC4, plopped Res buildings, no matter the wealth level, will always abandon. There are some strategies that can delay the abandonment but not stop it entirely. Its one of these "un-solvable" bugs like the TE lot bug and prop pox.

Like the rest of us it seems, you can hope for a fix at some point from simmaster07, our only resident C programmer.

Not exactly a bug, it's a game-limitation born by the fact that only through growing naturally can a sim (or freight) leave a lot. Plopped buildings do allow sims to enter the lot, hence plopping commercial buildings is fine, Industrial too if you can live with no freight leaving as a consequence. But for residential lots, there is no cast-iron permanent workaround, they will abandon eventually.

There is a useful post here that further explains the limitations/potential issues of plopping everything, I highly recommend you familiarise yourself with this. Because the game was never intended to support this method of playing.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

    Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone knows whether it's possible to download something like the RHPlopModd with all 560 buildings but as landmarks, meaning without people in them.

I'm having the problem mentioned above, where you plop the buildings, but they inevitably get abandonned. I'm trying to plop buildings as eye candy, without worrying about the fact that no actual people live/work in them. Is that a thing?

If not, do people know of a good set with lots of small houses that I can download somewhere, ploppable, as eye candy?

    Thank you!

Use Null45's Growifier DLL mod to fix the issue.  Residential buildings fixed with the Growify DLL mod will no longer abandon (assuming you water and power them normally, etc).  This issue has finally been solved:

It won’t as DLL mods are incompatible with MacOS and it’s secure runtime feature.

Gotcha. But so does anyone know of a good, ploppable, 1x1 set of houses that work as landmarks. Just like a decent bunch of houses that I can plop as eye candy in 1x1. I really don't mind if they're not functional

Oh! Thank you so much! Do you know if this works on a MAC?

The DLL won't work, but the original Growifier mod run in a website: https://www.growifier.com

Try this version, it does the same thing as the DLL, maybe it work on MAC
