Nice harbor. You are ready for After Dark. :D

Of course I am. Waiting to see how it looks at night :-]__

BTW: I do not know if I will be able to support all my mods with After Dark but...
cities!.thumb.png.47257574657e0b4891d038

Cities Skylines is using actually more than 16 GB and 10% of my CPU. :(
I have around 1.400 assets and 77 mods actually installed... I will have to check one by one wich ones will be not compatible :(

Sorry for doubleposting but seems that no one is working on anything. So let's place something here. According to the new 'realistic handling series' I'm creating, here we go!

Probably the next biggest airport in Cities: Skylines?

Currently in Seattle, Washington.

Construction on part of the waterfront around Seattle Ferry Terminal.  Columbia Tower serving as test bed to refining the CBD grid.  And yes, the signature Alaskan Way Viaduct currently work in progress in both directions.

Current progress of Interstate 5 through Downtown Seattle, looking south from Olive Way.  The intersection of Boren Ave and Pine Street above I-5 recreated.  The depressed area to the right of I-5 is the northern terminus of the Downtown Seattle Bus Tunnel and Convention Place Station.

Kind of an LA inspired city, working on filling out the suburbs along the rest of the highways.

Applying the sunken wall assets in an entirely new way from their sunken wall job... raised walls for Seattle.

Before: Fixed Infrastructure Planning

eawheED.jpg

After: Completed construction and development of Northern Rainier Valley with retaining walls to hide ugly, sudden terrain differences. Off-ramps sporting a transition from raised to sunken based on elevation change.

xATRijO.jpg

Bonus construction and pre-zoning shot of using sunken walls as raised walls for highways.  This took a painstaking long time.

Main road into my other city (completely removed the motorway/freeway and replaced it by this avenue - it's a small region, highways are HUGELY overrated)

I had an idea to do something similar for exposed rock faces, but I haven't been able to find the time to try it out

Something like this:

Getting really close to finishing out the major infrastructure of this city. It'll be my first one post-AD. Once that's done I'll go in here and there and maybe do some detailing and cleaning up.

I just made a park called Atys Park, for the YouTube user Atys for inspiration (sorry if I cannot make an embassy for you) :). It is located in the hillside of Hamberg (using the Capital Falls map by brendan.rnp)

After a lengthy weekend troubleshooting mod/asset issues crashing my game, I finally got some progress done. Finished up the State University

Need to find more Asian themed buildings for the cities' China town.

Next I'm considering burying this smaller highway going through the CBD to make it something a la Big Dig in Boston. But I haven't convinced myself that's what I want yet.

I'm very proud of this feasibility study:

This is not limited to trees. You can also select street lights, bus stops and any other road props per network segment.

I'm working on a big project in downtown. It used to be very congested and plots used to be very small. Even though there is still a lot to improve it looks kinda cool. I've been building a big park with a bus-terminal and two large metro stations (6 platforms each). Next to that I've been adding iconic buildings and changing the layout of the roads in order to make room for bigger buildings. There is still a lot to do but I like how it is going this far.

I'm trying to introduce concepts my city uses in it's freeway system, and as of currently it works perfectly. I added HOV ramps (or lanes) over freeways so buses and garbage trucks are able to get into and out of town. Also added a mod that removed all lamps from freeways and I added highmast lighting as a means of lighting up freeways.

Also using double lamp posts onto freeways without HOV support.

I was trying some water walkway. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out. What baffled me was the spottiness of the issue, which is leafless trees due to water nearby. I even used some quite "water-resistant" tree model, to no avail. Anyway, while it sometimes turned out well...

vhHzcck.jpg

... it more often looked like this...

... and the checkerboard pattern was quite unsatisfactory.

I guess I'll have to go and look for a different solution.
