I have just one question, I hope someone can answer it for me, is there a pattern to create the 45° R5 road and RHW curve so that I don't have to use puzzle pieces?

I remember almost all the patterns except R4 and R5

the NAM is generally tested a lot before release, so it should be working without issue. Though, if effectively there are duplicates, it might result in some redundancy and extra delay when loading the game. You can solve that by DATpacking the NAM; here's a guide to do it:

There's a tram-in-road puzzle piece that acts a bit like this. Otherwise, I don't know of any particular way —I would consider either having an avenue as a stepping stone (which is long, awkward and somewhat unsightly) or going for a small roundabout, which would also enable the U-turn we can see on the far right.

    If you just want the split, you can do similar setups if you use RHW. If you want the inside u-turn lane, that would take a more extensive layout...

    The above pieces are the depreciated RHW-2 interface pieces. They're probably not installed by default but need ot be selected. Also, some, if not all (I don'r remember right off hand) are able to be made using the draggable method rather the pieces.

    It's also possible with conventional Roads, using the newer REW flexible pieces:

    You can find them on the Road menu, on the REW Ramps tool:

    And use the Tab key to select the right ramp, in this case, the Orthogonal Symmetrical Wye (Type D), which you'll see hovering over the ground:

    Thanx a lot for your quick answer i really appreciate it...now something easy i suppose....is it possible to make neigbor connection diagonal with RHW of course ? 

    and a second question.. is it possible to transition for example a RHW4 into a RHW2  ?   .

    and a third question ...is it possible to connect a RHW 4 Bridge side by side ?  ...when i tested it doesnt ..  sorry for many questions but being away for about a year seems that has cost me a lot..!

    Also dont doubt if i have tried hard for a solution before i ask something ..i dont want to get you tired for sure !

    As i am trying a difficult project , perhaps i may ask some quick questions again ...hope for your support ..Thanx again

    1. No, diagonal connections are not possible AFAIK. You'll need to add a cheeky curve to your highway.
    2. Yes. There are some transition puzzle pieces available. There's probably also a way to do it with dragging, but I don't use RHW that much.
    3. For "narrow" RHW 4 bridges, try laying them with the highway tool. You should have a selection of RHW4 bridges to use (at least I do —but I have Project Symphony installed). Otherwise, I know of a technique for laying bridges side-to-side, but I have never been able to do it myself.

    what i really want is to make a bridge using RHW-2 , JUST that........since now i dont know how to do it...

    next , since i dont know lets try to make the bridges with whatever i have ....and i have a RHW-4   L1  ....ok?   .....as we said we cant built them side by side , so i am trying to built them

    to the next tile available .. the result is that yes i can built them with a tile between them but now the problem is that when i open DRAW PATHS i can see that in the pic..

    just look at the right bridge ...using Draw Paths its clearly that the road body of the bridge is in the wrong direction ...i tried to fix it by adding a starter with the right direction but you can see in the pic that didnt correct it !......pls help what i am doing wrong or what i am missing !...Thanx

    You can build a RHW-2 bridge, try to draw it and check the list of bridge options, there are at least a couple of RHW-2 ones available.

    Bridges that are uni-directional like one way roads and most RHWs must be dragged in the correct direction when built.  If you have two spans of MIS, they will need to be dragged from opposite banks.

    I managed diagonal connections with RHW-6S. I just dragged the network across the city border, starting from 5 or 6 tiles away. The lanes are two tiles apart and the connections look somewhat strange with missing and overhanging little corners. But it does seem to work.

    In theory you should be able to get diagonal NCs for diagonal RHW-2. But a functioning NC requires a bi-directional network. Since RHW above 2 is all single-directional, to work you’d need special NCs like for Ortho RHW.

    So whilst you can build it (note both directions show the same direction arrows), it won’t be truly functional and for sure will not be really utilised.

    Additionaly MHO can be used as a substitute for RHW-4, but that’s about it.

    Excellent clarification, Thanks! I hadn't noticed the arrow direction. Hopefully some future NAM version will solve this.

    quick question as i dont remember and i dont find any documentary about fractional angled roads....

    is it possible for the residentials buildings to face fractional roads and find their way to their jobs ? same for commercial and industrial buildings .. Thanx

    another question now , something different i want to ask.....

    well , my region is 4x4 large tiles , but just realised that maybe i will need extra space for my cities....!   if i am not wrong i cant change the config file , so i was wondering if i would create another bigger region (always with large tiles) , and the question is ..should i face any problem if i importh there my already working large tiles - cities ? what do you think? ..Thanx always , appreciate a lot your help !  *:thumb:

    i would like also to ask the moderators if it will be better to open a new thread with my project , asking there whatever and why not ..learning together ! ..or it will be better to stay here (i mean in this thread )

    If I'm understanding your ultimate goal, you can add to an existing config file. Using an image editing program, you can add pixels to the right and lower edges. You do need to use the standard blue, green, and red colors for the game to recognize them. Plus, you'll need the correct number of pixels for each different city size, but it can be done. It's been a long while since I've done that type of thing, but I'm sure there are topics about it in the forums. I'll see about digging them up in order to get the exact procedures just in case my memory isn't what it used to be... :)

    Here's a quick example using Paint:

    That's always an option. You'll need to be sure the cities are in an analogous location so things line up the same if that is your goal. You may also need to reconnect any transportation connections between cities if any existed.

    You are more than welcome to start a topic of your experiences with developing/testing your cities. The General Discussion forum might be the place for that. Or others if your focus is on Lots or BATS... A continuing 'dialog' can then be achieved rather than posts throughout various topics. Just a thought...

    Hello! I have a problem. I made a sandbox town to check two transition lots ToR->Subway. One from NAM, second is a custom (i suppose i could have downloaded it aproximately in 2011), so now I have a little confusion, which of them is actually functional. So I discovered the fact that none of this were functional, despite the fact that I've activated them and dragged subway line to connect them all, so it looks like this:

    With cheetah speed there just changing "no job" zots and obviously nobody uses transition.

    I'm rather interested in two above, because they have "subway station buildings", which are conspicuous by subway mode

    But they still are not functional.

    I know there is a underground tram way, but I have situations where tram must be under a complex road interchange, where neither tram tracks nor underground tram pieses can be builded, so subway transition could be only a way. And, that's interesting, I remember that one of this were actually functional and worked pretty well until something happened, but I don't know what it was, update to new NAM version or something else.

    We know about the problem, and the patch will be available when NAM 49 comes out

    First I did not see your stations. I almost thought you don't have them. With NAM v49 all the MTA stations will be updated. It took a while to actually put the update together because the first version of the MTA update was planned for NAM v45 or v46, but the continuous problems with LEX and with Project ZIP then the whole LEX Restoration Project put this one onto hold. I'd discovered this particular issue (with the TIA transition, which is technically the same modding wise) when I tested the stations a few years ago. The current version of these lots are not supporting the U-GLR puzzle pieces network at all, the updated version will support it.

    Hi, I'm looking to make a 45° turn from R5 for the road. There are flex parts as in the picture below, but can I make this bend using the “draggable” method?

    I've managed to make all the “draggable” turns in the lower radii, but the R5, despite several searches, I haven't found anything...
