The Brazil side are getting what they deserve. They have cynically hacked their way through the tournament completely devoid of tactics. I feel sorry though for the good people of Brazil, they deserve better.

Btw, Klose has now 16 goals in World Cups, he's the number one!

So far, reality has sunk in for Brazil. If Germany scores one more goal, it will tie Uruguay's 6-0 victory over Brazil in 1920, making this their second worst defeat.

Even the best have to lose eventually.

    5-0 Germany.

Just think about it for the second half.

Germany did take advantage of a Neymar-less and a Thiago Silva-less Brazil.

Even the Brazil fans were booing at their own players for such ridiculously poor performance.

I don't have much knowledge about the game but I can't believe that the score is 5-0, I thought the game will be too close to call but then again we can really never be sure. I am looking forward for Rio 2016. Hahaha

6-0. Germany has tied with Uruguay. Fred was substituted, which I guess was not all surprising seeing as how ALL the Brazilians were booing at him whenever he had possession.

Brazilian fans don't believe their own eyes, german fans don't believe their own eyes. An entire world have problems believing what they see. I see on facebook people begs to be waken up, others are betting on 10-0.For Brazil's sake I hope it doesnt get that far. It would be riots...

Brazilians are embarrassed by this humiliating score. Anyway, this is just a football game. We will be sad for a long time, but it works in all sports. One day defeat, in another victory. What is important is the spirit of sportsmanship, I liked the attitude of the Germans, that at no time were arrogant, and at the end of the game they were comforting brazilian players, this is how it has to be. Congratulations to Germany!

Wow. Brazil got demolished, annihilated, raped...

It was unbelievable. Germany played total football. Controlled the midfield, locked down in defence, and of course attacked with clinical precision.

    I still can't believe it...

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

I gotta say.. WHAT A GREAT MATCH! although I dont like the way lost... I know I said they didnt have the best team overall.. but it is a good team though.. I wanted to see a final between Brazil and Argentina... now all I got is Argentina.. and I really hope they can win tomorrow.. I wanted Brazil to win... but you know.. its football... it happens, and above any score or match or anything, what we have to admire about this is the passion and the courtesy of both sides.

Brazil couldve got mad and kick players and cause troubles, but they didnt.. they kept playing, and Germany was a great rival that respected every player on the field even thought they were winning by a vast difference.

    My respect for both teams!!

I think this is one of those games that you never expect. Congrats to Germany for the win. But, I feel sorry for Brasil. They can make up for this in the next match (whoever loses in the Netherlands - Argentina match)

I... don't... oh my gawd. Where to begin? I still don't quite understand what happened there.  :boggle:

The match started, Brazil began to push for a goal. I thought "Whoa, I'm going to spend the next 90 minutes biting my nails and watching our team get beaten - again."

Then, after 10 minutes or so, the German team gained some stability, and I thought "Hey, this is beginning to resemble a match among equal opponents".

Then the 1:0. What a relief. "This should give them some security. Such an important goal. Still, only one goal is not that much."

The 2:0. Some disbelief already, but mostly joy. "Oh my god, 2:0. Against Brazil!!! Now that should be a good position. What an unexpected fortune".

The rest... was just surreal. I watched the game in a pub, and we all were like in a trance. To the last minute, I half expected my phone to ring and my friends to wake me up from a nap on the couch, reminding me that I wanted to watch the match with them. Even now, I can't quite believe it.  o.O

How hard it must have been for Brazil to continue in the second half! I applaud the entire team for their continued efforts, and for playing fair right to the end. Poor fans, witnessing such a disaster in their own country! And poor Julio César, who is such a great keeper, but still had to endure 7 goals - none of which he was even remotely guilty of! Poor Neymar, too - to get injured during a world championship in your home country, and the next match you see is this:( I really don't know what to say.

Oh, but there's one thing I didn't really like. I mean, ok... if Fred is apparently not so popular in Brazil, fine. If people moan about him in the pub after the match, fine. But booing one of your own players during a match that obviously didn't go wrong because of any one person? I dunno... :lost: the frustration, I guess. I just hope everybody will keep their nerves. It's a game, after all. One that can excite and frustrate millions of people, but still. A game.

All in all, my congratulations to the Brazilian team for their sportsmanship and their fair behaviour. There's not the slightest doubt we'll meet again, and the next time it may very well be Germany's turn to see a lesson in football - as it has been in the past several times already.

However, one thing is almost certain now: I have witnessed the match of this world championship, a match that will make history. Whether the Netherlands or Argentina will take the title home now won't make much of a difference to me. I'm more than satisfied, and I'll watch the remaining three matches totally relaxed.  :)

I am german and I think well ... I wanted us to win but this was just a little too much for me ... Thiago Silva and Neymar were missing but this ... this was just a desaster for Brazil, they are all such good players but it wasn't really a team ... I even cheared for the goal Brazil shot (I think they deserved a few more like ending it 3 - 7 or 4 - 7 or something ...)

well I am not sorry for the Brazilian team ... I'm just sorry for the fans, because they had to watch this ... (because I know the team  - even without Neymar and Thiago Silva - can do better then this!!!)

I wonder what it feels like to be a Brazilian right now especially the players.I can't believe such a thing happenned to Brazil. The highest I thought Brazil could concede was like 3goals.How on earth could a side of great players and a great coach not adjust their tactics to at least peg the score at 3-0?If I were the coach I would have given up at goal number 4 and packed the defence very well. Its so sad

.I saw one little boy crying into his cup of coca-cola.It was just awful.Sorry Schriefer..at least fight for 3rd!!

Well Brazil is Brazil for a reason and match like this surely wouldn't bring this great country down. Respect to Brazil and I'll be waiting for their comeback in 2018. Meanwhile, let's go see the finals.

well let's move on, I think they will win the next match agains Argentina to at least reach 3rd place (well I just think the Netherlands did better so far, exept the match aginst Costa Rica, still they'll win the semi-final, I think) because i know the Brazilians dont like Argentina "that much" (I just didnt want to use bad words bc I dont like them either) ... they'll get a little of their lost reputation, they unfortunatly just lost, back and show they the wolrd they still arre a good team

I had a feeling there may be a riot in Brazil, win or lose. However I just think people are so stunned they just don't know how to react. That score is encroaching on American Football numbers.

We are all disappointed with this score, it is impossible not to be sad about it. The whole world watched our country losing 7-1 at home. Even worse for me, was in my city, in the stadium of my team, Cruzeiro, now go down in history as the stadium where Brazil suffered the highest number of goals in our history. Recalling that a few days ago Brazil managed an exciting victory over Chile in the same Mineirão stadium. Until now I can not believe it. In the reports I'm seeing the players are still very sad, and could not be otherwise, they are representing a nation.
On the other hand German players are happy to have won, however, Schweisteiger just now apologized to the Brazilian people. He said he is enjoying much of Brazil, people treat them very well and now we can get a bad mood, it's even an embarrassing situation to them, but he can be sure that we do not mix things, football is football and more goals is best. We know that giant scoreboard was not to humiliate us, but because Germany had competence, they deserved it.
It's sad. I'm sad, really sad just like all the brazillian people. I know this episode will serve now as a lesson. Today is a bad page to write, tomorrow can be different. After all we will still be supporting our team to 3rd place! We are still brazilians, and we never give up!

Well, there were reports of people burning Brazilian flags in Rio de Janeiro. But riots will certainly occur if Brazil loses third place. I mean, people are still mad over the gov't spending millions on stadiums rather than on the health and education.

Actually, Brasil had more possession than Germany. They also had more shots than the Germans. But the Germans were more accurate in shooting and more efficent when passing and that made the difference.
