Benedict suggested I put my map here. From my city journal, Silent Rise.

Very detailed map! One thing I don't like however is the use of many angles for the name of stations.

I've revised my map of the route I'm making in Trainz (warning: map is ~6500 x 4600 pixels):

That sure is massive, great work Kenny!

I finally made a map in inkscape... Its an improved version of my previous Melbourne map.

Well, let's put this map in here too:

(picture)

That map looks so realistic. If I didn't find it on the forums I'd mistake it for a real map!

What program did you use to create that map?

Well, let's put this map in here too:

Looks great - especially with the terrain! I'd have another look at the road outlines though - it looks like your highways have at-grade intersections with every other road/ramp.

Meanwhile, design HSR network, obligatory map follows...

Lovely map! Though I'm not so sure about the colour used for the river, seems too conflicting with the grey but it might be just me :P

I just finished making a simple map of Gold Coast's light rail which is set to open early next year!

Here's a new map from me; first big one I have made in a long time....

It depicts the new tram/light rail system of Capital District, the Capital and largest city in the UC:

The HSRP (Henderson Speed Rail Project) was introduced in my Portland CJ, used in my Benjamin CJ, and "quietly" mentioned in my current cj, Jordan. But I got bored and decided to make a map of the line that goes from Henderson's West/ Pacific Coast to the East Coast (shown as RS Bay Area on map). Enjoy!

And you tell me your true opinion, my photoshop trial was up and I still gave it a go using windows 8 paint (not paint.net)

Well, the paint-ness shows (though you can make correct stuff with Paint - like some of my own maps), but the design is clever and pretty enough. :)

And now for the accurate bus and subway map for the Cities in Motion 2 town of Altea.

First : the master map, showing subway connections in Altea. You'd find it in all subway and Altean bus stops - it's the iconic Altean map. A few specificities : Line 5 has an express and local service, which isn't shown here for sake of clarity (but for commuters it's, quite frankly, hell : peak hour express trains go all along the lines, normal trains stop at Richmond, and nightly/weekend trains operate a shuttle from Canary Wharf to East Dolores). The network is made of 8 Metro lines, two Tramway lines (not counting Wellspring LRT lines), and two regional rail lines (not shown in full here)

edwu.png

Altea is an island; while Altea City itself makes up most of the land, on the opposite side, due to the subway being extremely local, a smaller city has set up its own transit network : the Wellspring Tramlink.

xwa4.png

Which of course led me to adapt the style for those maps you'd find in the subway cars themselves, like this one for line 1 :

bhgk.png

The city also has a bus network, distributed in four geographical zones (A for Downtown, B for Northside and Brookestone, D for the Wellspring area, and E for Whitefield). There are almost 60 bus and trolley lines throughout the town. Raven County, in the center, is supposed to be Zone C, but that area is very hilly and forested, and therefore only very lightly inhabited. Because the map is huge, bus stops usually only display the maps corresponding to the local zones (here zone A) :

ueml.png

But here's the FULL bus and subway map, which is usually only shown at major bus hubs or in subway stations. It was inspired by the bus maps from Oakland, CA. Since it's huge, you may also download it directly here : http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/264/8uob.png

This looks like something you would find in Texas; your population is pretty large considering the amount of empty land you have in the city.

This is epic! I want to make one for my city in CiM2 now.

Can I ask how you made this? Did you use the map from in-game?

This may not be a map, figured it may fit in the topic seeing as it's a guide sign. I made this for comical purposes (inspired by my morning commute) and it's badged for a town I'm working on.

New-Amsterdam Light Rail Winter Service.

I'm sorry for the bad quality, but I had to save it as a .jpg because of the image size.

You need to use a single font and size; likewise with the parallel lines not being at equal distances from one another, and the station circles not centring on the line. However I like your intra-line interchange design (eg Seville Town on the Airport Artery line).

Either you take your names from the same sources as I do, though, either you took them from something I've named or contributed to naming. :> Acter Park and Ashford are typical of me for instance. :)

Semantics : "upon-Ashford" is a pretty odd name. Most usually, "upon" is going to denote a city on a river (Kingston upon Thames)..and it's at this point I think it looks like one weird preposition. You could say the Ashford is a river, but a "ford" is a crossing on a river..

I think my last (and, until now, my only) map was posted here three years ago - or even more. So it's time for a new one! This represents the metro system of my capital city 'Bunden'. For higher resolution: link. More metro-related stuff in my CJ!
