Sure!  We met in college.  I walked into my first class on the first day of school and sat behind her where I had a thought straight out of the greatest episode of Seinfeld: "Old me would have sat here and thought she was pretty and then regretted not saying anything to her the rest of the day.  NEW me will invite myself to sit down next to her and start hanging out with her."  So I did.  We were friends most of first year, briefly became more than friends before she super-flaked on me and I told her I was never going to talk to her again.  Which I didn't, at least until I ran into her on campus second year.  She was a bit flaky again, and eventually I invited her over to do something more interesting than cuddle while watching a movie (straight to the point, no muss no fuss) and she said yeah and we've been inseparable ever since.  I love talking about myself, and it's pretty hilarious how we ended up together, all things considered.

I used to love sports a LOT, and it made me depressed when my teams lost and euphoric when they won.  However, ever since that Penn State scandal where the football coaching staff and the university president/dean/whoever hid Jerry Sandusky's crimes against the boys who were there to learn to play football, I decided that sports could never ever be so important that they are used as a reason to hide such a heinous thing.  The regular college football scandals, the way fans of rival teams treat each other (Yankees/Red Sox is cute and all, but try being a Wolverines fan in Columbus, OH or vice versa), and the fact that pro sports teams crap all over their fans all the time and the fans keep going back for more, it really turns me off.  Don't get me wrong, I still like sports, I like the Tigers, I root for Vikings football, and the Spartans and the Buckeyes, but it's just not something I can get passionate about anymore.  Fans who are obnoxiously passionate about their teams (like your BOS fans) just repulse me and make me wish I didn't have to share the sport with them.

One of these days I'll go to a soccer game. Maybe if I like the minor leagues I'll go to an MLS game in Toronto. I only watch soccer during the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics.
