I bought a tv last month and finally got cable hooked up last Saturday. I have not spent a great deal of time watching it though. I'm just glad I can watch Pirate games without having to go to the bar down the street because if I'm in a bar, I'm consuming alcohol, which can get expensive if one goes in for nearly every Pirate game. I suppose I could have bought a radio but now I have tv again.

If it's specifically baseball you're worried about you can also subscribe for the season to stream any and all games online. Haven't checked but I imagine it'd be cheaper than cable or satellite service.

I don't watch TV, but when the Phil's (Phillies) are on, I'll watch. They're over .500 now. But really, people watch too much TV, but I've said the same about social networking.

Just one old 15 years old CRT-tv in this household. No consoles or whatever, just a set-top box (all digital tv providers require that you buy or rent their stupid boxes...) and a dvd player. Tonight I'll be watching Endeavour, with Diet Coke and crisps :P

I had Sega Master System II with Alex Kid as the default game and a few extra games like Chuck Rock. And that's all. Now I'm not sure how you could play games like Simcity 4 and Tiberian Sun in a console like X-Box :P

There was a time when I just loved playing games, but, I guess I got old.  Kids take up time, I work 40 hours a week, etc, but I think the thing that's killed it for me is writing.  Since I started getting a little bit good at it, I realized that my writing was more entertaining to me than either games or TV shows.  That's not to say that they're bad, or that my writing is so great that everyone should read it and love it (I seriously doubt any wide appeal for my work), but for me it's become a hobby that eats games and TV alive.

What I have interchangeably hooked up to my TV is PS2, PS3, and Wii. Everything else I own is portable: two GBA SP's, a DS (original), and a PSP. I did also score an original Gameboy a while back when a friend of mine found it cleaning out her closet and was going to throw it away. :O Fortunately I was able to rescue it. I have no games for it, though, and it is right now on indefinite loan to my cousin (who does have games for it).

My family has two TVs in our house. We have one in the living room that the Wii is hooked up to and another in my parents' bedroom. The Wii is the first - and probably the only - game console I will have. It's fun, but I much prefer computer games. Regarding handheld game consoles, I have a Game Boy Advance SP that I use to play Pokemon Crystal. I have a DS Lite which I threw on the floor in a fit of rage a couple of years ago. :P At least it still works. The only games I played on it were Pokemon games, such as Fire Red, Diamond, Platinum, and Soul Silver. I also have a 3DS and the games Mario Kart 7 and... you guessed it: Pokemon White.

You do lp videos?

Those are always fun to watch if I'm not interested in playing a game but curious to see how it is or if I'm stuck on a part.

@ Duke, Pokemon Red was the first ever handheld game I ever had, My best friend had the Blue version so we traded, that was like top notch tech back then :P

I have every pokemon release up until the gameboy advance ended, moved on to Sony now.

Crazy how Nintendo after being on top for so long is an afterthought and joke now.

I won't publish my lp of OOT because I screw up all the time such as missing the web in the Deku Tree, etc.

And for he record, Ninteno has made plenty of good recent games (Dark Moon, Skyward Sword)

But what I want to see is (never will happen) is Sega to make a new console. But gaming is moving to tablets, which I'm fine with as long as I can keep my Earthbound and Zelda

If the game doesn't say "Paradox" "Sid Meier" or "Bethesda" chances are I don't really play it much anymore. Not because of some dislike of some companies, it's really just how my interests are right now.

Well, my little brother and I spent a day playing Pokemon again. We just plugged in my blue and his red to our old N64 Pokemon Battlestadium game and well, played for a little bit.

Yes, this is kitty.

I strictly only play sports and modern shooters, No sci-fi or aliens or zombies or any of that unrealistic crap for me.

Still waiting on the PS4 launch date, I'm a little concerned that it is expected to be under $400, to me that seems too cheap for a console, makes me think they could be taking shortcuts, I'd rather it be a quality console for more then a cheap piece of junk like we saw with the Wii.

Paradox's games are great. I usually play Europa Universalis III or Crusader Kings II, I haven't been able to get into Victoria II or Hearts of Iron III much.

Kerbal Space Program is pretty fun too.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I get to go to work at my neighborhood elementary school this week.  The problem is that, just like last time, it's supposed to rain that day.  Why?  Why rain on me the one day I get to walk to work??  WHY?  WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

I'm not a big fan of FPS games for certain reasons.

1. Idiots online

2.campers

3. Snipers

4. Annoying fanbases

5. Nothing really changes between sequels.

I first used a Macintosh computer when I was in my 6th year of art school, so I was 11 then (now I'm 20). My friends and I were huge fans of Microsoft (because we equated Microsoft with 'the pc'), and the art teacher then brought his PowerBook to show us Mac was better. I thought it was slow as hell, but look at me now, typing this message on my own Mac :P

What I have never understood is the fascination of playing a game "online". Usually I prefer a purely single player experience... and if there is going to be a second real person involved I would strongly rather that person be sitting next to me, not remotely connected.

That's primarily why I hate SC2013  I don't want to be permanenl socially connected, but that's what seems to be normalized.  As for gaming, I believe the future of gaming is in Tablets, but I'm fine, like I said, as long as I can keep my Earthbound and Zelda.

In some games, having your friends sitting next to you is not the best idea. For example, in Red Alert 2 the Allied army can build a Gap Generator, a radar jamming device that hides your base from your friends, so you can build anything you want and surprise your friends. Not possible and funny, if your friends are next to you and can see what you do. But in games like Pro and Fifa, this is really awesome :D
