This one is set in what used to be a swamp and is still a work in progress, there are empty zones around and to the bottom right side of the picture you can see some empty land - I'm planning on an oil refinery there but there isn't enough I-M demand to get it afloat.

Kitchner, Indiola

Kitchner, is on the western side of Indiola, and is one of the districts most heavily industrialized areas.

This section includes Indiola Beverage, Gardena Garden Tools, and Heavy Grinders Coffee.

Another area includes Standard Chemical, MPR metals, Lowell Concrete, Sleepy Jean Brewery and more.

And Finally the Southern most industrial complex in Kitchner. Includes Eastshore Railroad Freight Station, Jestarr Container Repair and Sales, South Kitchner Warehousing, Phillip Said Tool Co, and more....!

This is a custom lot i built in lot editor (It's actually a park :/) as industrial filler. It was inspired by the Gerdau Ameristeel Mill in Newport,MN

That's pretty cool DavidDHetzel. Perhaps adding in a freight train and cargo cars would bring this lot to life?

There is the switcher locomotive there, bu I had trouble finding any good gondola pops (I think maybe Peg has some I could use, I should look into that.)

I agree that's a very good lot! Could use a few more details, but still very good. A few loaders, trucks, and yes, gondolas... be sure to check jestarr's props as well. He has also made a lot of train cars.

Yep, Peg has a number of gondola cars... The guys in the bottom left of this pic are from Peg (I'll see if I can find the exact file).

So I went back into the city that had that lot and look at this.

I guess I did have Gondola props on it. They were timed.

EDIT: PM me and I'll send you the file. I just don't remember where I ot the railroad track overlay textures from though. :/

If PIM-X could work, then I would be putting out content. But I can't get it to work somehow, so I am stuck using a limited product like LE.

That lot you see above is actually a standard vanilla park, I edited to make into an industrial filler.


Also it should be noted that lot has a has a ton of MMP's on it too. It's pretty bland with out them. .

the small grey piles are MMPs, but not the three beige colored ones. Plus all the random debris is from Murmiks MMP's I think.

Rudyard was a big manufacturing city until the 1980's downtown of the manufacturing industry. The city managed to stay afloat thanks to expanding it's tech sector but the main industrial area suffered and vacant lots are found through that area.

@DavidDHetzel No offense mate, but I don't think it's proper etiquette to repeatedly go around asking people for information regrading buildings/lots without in some way at least acknowledging the work they just posted first, be it with a like or positive comment. It's one thing to do this occasionally but I've noticed that lately you've been doing this a lot in both the forums and CJ's. The community will always be willing to help but please keep in mind that it's not always easy or fast to figure out and then look for where a certain lot can be found. A little positive encouragement goes a long way, thanks.
