Damn reddon! You've blown me away! Every detail looks spot on! Could you also possibly release some of the adjacent buildings as a separate pack though for some of us who would like to use them as standalone buildings? Though I'll be happy with it as is if its too much of a trouble

Yeah, I have to second this. If these buildings can be rendered separately, we'll have more freedom to choose what we want. As a whole, it may be too large a Lot.

Besides, this BAT is just perfect.

on an other note; the passed few models released lack C$$ and C$$$ lots, will there be 'working lots' provided?  or will that be left for some one else to add    anyway, great work on the models

First of all, thanks for all the nice comments so far

• _A, you asked about the skybridge - I hadn't planned on making it there's nothing to connect it to at the moment. Not sure how exactly I would make one either in terms of game Lot. Is it a TE road piece?
• Unclesahm, I'm currently working one by one through my unfinished BATs, so in theory the State Library is next (unless I get distracted by something else )
• Lots of questions about separating the lots, here and in PM - The answer is maybe, I'll see how long it takes. Because this is a shopping centre it is a big lot, but I might break it up  a bit
• Lots of questions about jobs - no not releasing my BATs with jobs they are landmarks only. You can see from what happens when I tried to make things functional.. I don't know what I'm doing . Apparently you can use this tool and it makes jobs really easily (I haven't tried it though) I've started releasing custom menu icons so anyone editing the original BAT releases can still use the custom icons.
• Durfsurn, yeah the State Library is next, no plans for the MCG (Marius asked that too) but Etihad is on my list, and Southern Cross maybe later in the year but no immediate plans for it. Yep, Melbourne Central will have subway functionality, I want to link it to Flinders Street Station .

It's good to hear, reddon. You know, although it's reasonable to make the BAT as it is in reality, a super-size lot is hard to match with other skyscrapers in game. If you see of mine, you'll find there is barely any tower with a large base in it. So if it takes too much time to render them all separately, I suggest you render the main part of it(for example, the tower).

LOL... I made special note of that building when I was in Melbourne last year. It looks like the fraternal twin of one in Nashville, Tennessee... perhaps a long lost brother of this one?

I was imagining something like possibly it could be done if/when you do the Lonsdale-Lt Lonsdale section of Melbourne Central and Emporium? I believe you just adjust the height of the skywalk in LE but I'm not entirely sure so maybe someone with more expertise in this could help? Also can't wait to see how State Library turns out! That'll be two blocks in the northern CBD completed!!

I walk past Melbourne Central Tower on the way to work every day, I stopped and stared at it for a minute today. It really is a beautiful building. Thanks for making me notice that, red!

Roger, yeah I know you're right about the sign but I couldn't get it any better. Any lower and it didn't look like it was lit. In hindsight I should have not lit the sides, only the front, that would have helped. I've already exported and ready for upload, its not bothering me enough to worry about now. Good to hear from you, someone else who's been AWOL

 

LOL @ Batman building. Yes, there's definitely a few similarities there

 

I did a bit more work on the library yesterday but I got distracted ... Someone requested this in PM, (disclaimer: no I'm not taking requests ) and I thought it looked pretty cool from the images I looked at, but not realising its only just being built, there are almost no good references for it, so this will sit on the shelf for a little while until I can get some better references to finish it off (mainly the roof and the base) - sorry requester

To be honest, that's about 70% of Australian Skyscrapers. Few are properly standalone like a lot are in most of the US.

Is that so? I've learned something new today. Hahaha. I don't often see skyscrapers with malls in Manila or around the Philippines, more often than not, malls are a separate entity.
