Looks good so far. Only real issue I see is that the Telstra logo is reproduced noticeably incorrectly.

I'm loving Melbourne Central, adds some badly-needed forced midrises to generally densely packed city centres. A CAM version single-handedly does 13,000 CO$$$ or CS$$$ jobs.

I'd post a pic, but the forum software hates Steam images.

Just double checked Red and yes that will complete the Melbourne top 10 (the next tallest is Nauru House at 182m just outside the top 10).

At least until Prima Pearl is completed (expected sometime between this year and April 2015, different sources give different completion times).

Then you have Three more under construction which will make into the top 10 once completed.

Vision Apartments at 226m

Tower Melbourne also at 226m

And 568 Collins Street at 224m

I agree it looks wrong, but I traced it, what do you think looks most wrong with it? The top of the 'T' maybe looks a bit small? Maybe I need to exaggerate it a bit...

Xander, I can't wait for Prima Pearl to finish, its looking so beautiful already. Technically it must be in the top 10 already, I'm sure its reached near full height. There's no way it can still be until April next year to finish - I saw lights on in some of the upper floors tonight :P

The T looks far too narrow overall. As far as I can tell, they've always used a rather heavy font weight in the logo.

That's much closer. I'm very happy with that, thanks for taking it on board.

And I wasn't watching the thread. Honest. :P

I'm really digging the Telstra Corporate Centre.

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Telstra looks great Red! Can't wait to see the night version, it's easily one of my favourites after sunset. Also the library. Also everything. Have been following along but not commenting!

Will the Telstra centre cost more than the other towers while providing less service? : D

Lovely work on the state library. I think I already know where to use it in my city.

Looks great, but the materials still aren't right.  Most of it looks too saturated and/or too dark, especially the trees and grass.  The limestone/concrete on the facade also looks too saturated to be believable.  The other thing I'm noticing is a lot of the edges seem almost too defined.  Have you ever seen/played the game Borderlands?  Your materials remind me a lot of the look of that game.

Too old fashioned for my city, I would like something modern.

I've been somehow following this BAT's developement, and refrained from posting because all i had to contribute was the fact that i'm curious about how the real building grew through the years (it looks like it's a mish-mash of different buildings).

Perhaps it's time for asking, though - can the author tell me something more about that?

Thanks for all the nice comments. :)

PBGV, I wholeheartedly agree about the grass, I still haven't got it right. The gum trees are probably a bit dark too. Its very hard to get right. In general I'm pretty happy with the building textures though, in fact I thought these were some of the best ones I've done. The only one I don't like is that brown ribbed roof, I haven't been able to get it looking right at all. I'm probably going to sit on this BAT for a little while. Even though I can see what you're seeing, I can't see it as a problem... After a bit of a break I might view it differently. Don't expect it on the STEX just yet :D

Francis, thanks for stopping  by, I haven't seen a post from you for a long time. I was thinking the same thing about the buildings external appearance, it seems to be a number of buildings and additions added over time but I don't know the full history of the lot, whether it was originally all the State Library and they gradually replaced some sections, or it grew over time. When I get a bit more time I'll read up on it.

Mike/Weixc.. yeah I might release a prop pack at some stage, I probably have enough things now. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Lovely work on the state library :thumb:   I really like it when you make less tall buildings, not because your highrises aren't amazing but because there's enough of them now that it's a challenge to fit them all in one city and there's a real need for more "boring" structures with your attention to detail wrt modeling, textures, and night lights. I'll agree with the guys suggesting a prop pack. I quite like the look of the garden as is though the grass color might not match other grass colors. Would it be easier to just reference the Maxis $$$Park texture which is replaced by terrain mods such as Gobias' anyway? I don't check in here often but am a big fan of your work :)
