Well, doesnt mind to try, you don't always have to do an exact version of the real life, you can just get inspired by it, or make a BAT from your own head.

Anyway, your BAT looks very nice, and with bars or not, still very nice and will not make a big difference, so as you like.

Hello everyone

I decided to leave the platform empty of wildness, it doesn't look that nice with ...

Here are in-game shots.

Also do you find the station over-scaled? Someone told me that it was too big..

And here's a comparison of size with other buildings.

It is fine, maybe just a big station, I can see the size of the sim comapring to the roof height, and it is fine to me.

Hmm, personally i find it slightly overscaled if compared to the size of that subway train (2nd pic) and of the green roof station (4th pic).

However, discussing about scaling like this to me looks like discussing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

Maxis did follow any scale it saw fit - 3 different scaling criterias for different wealt levels, plus another for sims, probably even another one for automatas, plus different scaling critierias even with similar buildings!, and since BATers often followed whatever scale they thought fit, there's no point in discussing wheter something looks overscaled or not, because you have no real valid term of comparison...

I'd say make sure what you did is close to RL.Some BATers BAT things closer to RL, and in long run it's better to get compatibility with them, and not with other stuff, methinks - point is, all those people follow ONE scale, while other people follow whatever scale they think fit, and therefore getting something that could fit with many of those custom scaling criterias at the same time would be very difficult...

Another example would be the one of languages - you can think of BATers and the way they scale their buildings as if they were nation states, each using his own languages.

If I, as a BATer, use a custom scaling criteria, then that's going to be my own "languages", that's not used in any other "country" - so, there would be a language for each "country".

If i follow RL dimensions and scaling, then the language i use would not be just my own individual language - any other BATer who BAT and scale things close to RL is using my same "language" -

And now think, if you were to write an essay, so that it could understood by as many people as possible, would you use a language that's used in just one country or some limited geographic area, like Slovenian or Hungarian language, or would you like using a language that's more widely spoken and understood, like French, English or Spanish?

BAT things to RL dimensions, or as close as possible to them, and you wouldn't have to worry about that - your BAT is going to look out f scale with some other BATs, but given how things are, this is going to be unavoidable even if you were trying to get it fit with any other BATing scale...

I think the flowers give some life to it, but I'll admit it does seem a little random, with the way the station is made and how old it looks. Is the flowers an the flower beds a separate prop? If so maybe adding some in that area that's empty(besides the business sim standing there) near the rap, like just two there would help a little.

Honestly though I do like the flowers there.

I'd say to add back the vegetation between rails and platform, which would make sense, and get rid of the flower beds on the platform, that probably wouldn't.

I love the station. I believe you are using SG's mega prop pack - if so, I might suggest using a few of the news stand props (in a family, even better) and trash can props (also in prop family). I do think the flowers are a nice touch, but they seem to residential to me, and perhaps they don't fit well with the station. Maxis also has a vending machine prop family that may fit, if you are looking to get some variety with each station plop. Keep up the great work - there really is a lack of small platform stations like this for the game.

Good suggestions there, SimCoug. To add to the flower discussion, where I live it's not uncommon to have concrete planters on train platforms, but these are normally planted with shrubbery and not with flowers - travelers would probably tear them out and surprise their beloved ones with a bouquet straight from the station.

Thanks guys. Concerning the flora on the platform, it is also usual to see them here in France. And I have seen a lot in Japan too. Plus, the station this building is based has a lot of flora on the end of the platform.

This is due to the fact the station is on a small commuter line outside of Hiroshima. The trains ( which are usually two wagons only) stops at the middle of the platform, near the shelter.

I've become a big fan of dropbox...you can organize everything in folders and keep things nice and tidy.

I like Dropbox, too, but you have to download, install, and set up the software before, so unless you're planning to use it anyway, it might not be the easiest choice compared to a one-click picture hoster that can be used without registration and offers ready-made embedding codes in various formats, including thumbnail option.

Thanks to the great help of Moonlinght, the pathing has been done!

And here is the two pictures that will be used for the read-me and upload [LEX and STEX]

Both LHD and RHD pathing has been done and tested in game [working perfectly] on a RHD game and a LHD one. In the installer you will have the choose one of them, according if you are using RHD or LHD.
