  1. 1. Will you buy the game if it forces you to be online at all times?

Hello good people,

My name is Dijego and I have been following the development of Simcity 5 and the responses of the community.

I want to know how a certain decision affects the willingness of people on this forum (reading this thread) to buy the game when it comes out. I know the game is still under development and it might be too early for you to make a final decision right now.

However I would like to make up a balance of how the people look at the issue of being forced to have an internet connection when playing the next release of the Simcity franchise.

So please, if you have the time, pick your answer at the poll and post a message stating why you chose it.

Regards,

Dijego

I don't store personal info on my computer, so Origin can garble up as much info as it wants.

Otherwise, i'm fine with being forced Online.

"Yes, because the gameplay is good enough to overcome this minor issue."

-How do we know how good the game is until we play it?

Answer is invalid. Poll is invalid IMO. We do not know anything concrete for sure other than the fact it is online only.

I really don't care because if you have internet at all times, there's really no problem. However, its the issue of how long will those cloud servers will last and then it becomes a problem. Eventually, EA will have to release an offline mode.

As for this poll / boycott, this is invalid as other members stated, this game is not released yet and we just have a general idea of the game.

I don't agree, we know a lot more.

We can't save our cities on our own computer, never heard anything more ridicules.

We can't terraform.

We can't connect our cities manually.

We only have 2x2 km maps.

We don't have a proper sandbox mode.

And when the servers shut down, you have spend your money for what? One year of game play?

If none of the above things change, I won't be buying it.

I think the biggest issue i'd have is the inability to make manual city connection. Although online play mite not sound too pleasingm its livable.

There are much bigger issues with the upcoming SimCity than Origin.

Its not the forced online play that makes me not like the game. I actually liked the idea of having a global resource economy. Its the fifty other things that are wrong with this game that makes me not want to buy it.
