Rest in peace Nonny. I hardly ever log in anymore, but when I do, I always check to see how he's doing. I never talked to him, but I knew that he was a pillar to the Simtropolis community. This is honestly heartbreaking.

The_City_Builder replied to TPB's topic in Cities: Skylines Showcase
Starting to work on my first actual city in which I put a moderate amount of effort into. Not the best but -

Cimtographer at it's finest! It got the railroads right at least! -
Feels good to log in for the first time in months. Can't believe I've been a member for 6 and a half years.

Sorry if this is the wrong place, I don't usually use the SC4 forums; I was wondering if anyone has any 1600's style mods: for example, buildings constructed by pioneer's after they settled in North America after leaving Europe. Thanks in advance...

I also play a lot of this, mainly on Android and iOS. It's a nice little game, and the resource management is nice. It is a shame that it's mostly pay for play, but I have made it to level 39 in the iOS version having only payed about €10. I would also be interested in seeing some of the designs appear on the STEX. The game has a large variety of designs and most of them are beautiful.

Simcity 2013 or simcity 4
The_City_Builder replied to Snorp09's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I love them both equally to be honest. I've put well over 200 hours into both of them.- 74 Replies

Which Versions of City Life/CitiesXL Should I Avoid?
The_City_Builder replied to Koushiro_Izumi's topic in Cities XXL
I play CitiesXL on Windows 8 x64 and I have a quad core i5 and the game runs fine. I have Windows 7 x64 and also have a quad core i5, and the game runs awfully. -
Fast residential density growth
The_City_Builder replied to potorium's topic in SimCity (2013) Modding - Open Discussion
This seems to work better with the new patch than 5.0. I literally just started building 3 minutes ago and I'm already getting medium density apartments (low-wealth) with no city services besides power and water. -
Which Versions of City Life/CitiesXL Should I Avoid?
The_City_Builder replied to Koushiro_Izumi's topic in Cities XXL
If you have a 64 bit system and/or more than a tri core processor, avoid Cities XL all together. You need to download special software to play City Life, though, assuming you run Windows 7. I don't think City Life is compatible with Windows 8 at all though. -
BOC Camera

Yeah, it was in non-sandbox mode, thought it was the same in sandbox mode as well for me. -
BOC Camera

Sorry, forgot to post back. I tried it, and the controls on the numpad and the zoom-to-building are a big plus. Still driving me nuts that the scroll wheel isn't working, but hey, I don't know how to do half the stuff you do! Also, the fact you can see underground at certain angles is somewhat annoying, but like I said before, the new perspective is neat, and when you figure out how to fix the camera drag/zoom, it'll be a great mod. -

Downloading now! -
He said he's over SimCity, not city building games in general. Besides, EA/Maxis owns the trademark, so they can't make their own SimCity anyway.

I'll try it and report back with stuff. Okay, so I tried update 6 and you're right, it is acting weirdly, but I really like the new perspective. I just wish the camera movement could be done with the mouse, so I hope that get's sorted out.
