  1. Lot Sizes

1X1 Makes the most natural cities for low res.
  2. I highly doubt Simcity 4 and Rush Hour haven't sold a million yet. Rush Hour itself sold 294000 copies boxed(!) alone in 2007, this is the expansion pack alone. Also, we're living in an age where the attention span to new games have shortened a lot, no wonder people are jumping on CS as SC4 has gotten too old yes, but also too difficult.
  3. Not at all. To be honest, I see myself and others (also on this forum) already going back to SC4, it's only been a month and some. Playing CS made me realize how incredibly good SC4 with mods actually is. I'd rather uninstall CS than SC4. This does NOT mean CS is bad, at all! It's a great, game, just way too restrictive for me.
  4. Region of Salem

Great CJ, really like how you work with the terrain. Question; for example those large shopping centers; do you plop or grow them?
  5. Many thanks fellow Brisbanite, that seems to have fixed it!
  6. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and then some.

Just amazing, wish you still made maps!
  7. Thanks for the reply Nonny. Strange thing is that with the same plug in folder, I didn't have the problem on my old laptop. Yes, I always make sure the game runs on just one core, otherwise it will just CTD all the time. Are the strange "lines" of nothingness part of the problem?
  8. Hi you all, I'm back again trying to play SC4 and I will probably also be doing a CJ. I bought CS and played it for a couple hundred hours and really enjoyed it but now I'm wanting to play SC4 again due to CS obvious limitations in size and beauty. I've upgraded my pc ( 8 core AMD with AMD 7950 card, 8gb ram) last year and installed SC4 on it but there are a few problems that are occurring that make playing the game a lot less fun. First problem is when I hold the right mouse button to scroll around the map, all buildings and props etc disappear until I release the button, takes a little while for it to come back, gets me out of the moment. Also, there are big "lines" all over the map through the city with no buildings or props, and when I hold the right mouse button and release it again those lines are not where they were before but somewhere else. All other old and new games work fine. I've never had this problem on my old laptop from 2009 where I played the game on for the last 6 years. Any ideas what might be causing this? Very kind regards!
  9. * BTW the "81" tile mod is really a 7x7 49 tile mod. No idea how they came with up with 81 tiles.
  10. It is 7x7 and only 49 tiles, no idea why they are calling it an 81 tile mod. Yes, the game is small, nothing like the scale of SC4, it annoys me already.
  11. Only when I'm thinking out loud. I do play drinking lots of beer sometimes, but not in my bed.
  12. I agree. I really like CS but it's way too small. I play with 81 tile mod, and it's still small. Also what is really disappointing is that there is a building or parts limit. So after a while you can't build anything anymore. SC4 is wonderful because you can replicate countries. I still play and love CS as I play it more like a model city, love the mod where you can go in first person and drive with your citizens through your town, most fun I'm having with it! 81 tile limit has been hard coded in the game and will never be bigger.
