Downloaded buildings won't grow?

i downloaded lots of bats on the stex, all from the same person, but when i played the game, and had perfect demand, perfect desirability, correct zones, and everything, the buildings would hardly grow at all, i got something like 5 of the downloaded buildings in my entire city after waiting ten minutes on cheetah speed.

Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

In SC4 there Caps and Growth stage, you should zone more and more to increase your city cap. Download the colossus addon mod and read more on simcity growth stages. I bet it will help you/.

Zoning more isn't really necessary, I find that even undesirable. Usually it slows down growth of buildings of higher stages. The collossus addon mod helps, this increases the number of stages which allows you to build bigger buildings. But this still doesn't help if you don't have buildings of these stages, these buildings have the Collossus Addon Mod listed as dependency.

Desirability is there in more ways. $$ and $$$ buildings need more than $ buildings, you need to make the desirability perfect depending on what buildings you have. Furthermore, you could also take a look at the tilesets, it could be that Modern European isn't checked, this could be the reason.

You could also download more buildings. My plugin folder is huge and I don't really have that problem. There is a lot of custom content on the STEX so that should be no problem.

At last, if you don't want any Maxis buildings you could download You need a large plugin folder for this because you don't see any default buildings anymore.

Maybe, it is not a growable version that youve downloaded. Check the readme file enclosed on the zip.

    None of the buildings i download listed the colossus mod as a dependency so i don't think that's the problem. And i know i'm using the right tileset. But i already do have that mod installed to block maxis buildigs, so maybe my plugin folder isn't big enough. That's doubtful though since i've got at least 60 or 70 downloads in it.

    Caps are limitations to your growth stages, it's a threshold that will prevent the game for building skyscrapers at the beginning

    Cap busters are for example civic stuff, transport ameneties (airport/seaport), parks & plazas etc. Each will provide a cap relief that will allow you to go further in the growth stages

    I also have a lot of his stuff, it's mainly skyscrapers right? You probably need more population and/or desibirality to get more of them

    Also enough diversity? It is the best to have buildings of all stages. So next to big skyscrapers also small family homes and mid-density apartment buildings. It is also important to have buildings of as well $, $$ and $$$. This could be a problem.

    Demand Caps

    -Neighbor Connections

    -Road, Rail, Highway, Tram, On so on...

    -Parks/Plazas

    -Increase desirability, raise demand caps.

    -Reward Buildings

    -Like parks and plazas, but each with their own respective boost.

    If you have those you cannot go wrong, unless you're not proving safety, education, health, environment (doesn't just mean clean air).

    Also it's good to note, if you don't have a lot of traffic in the area you want skyscrapers to grow, good chance they wont. Lots of traffic is 'customers'

    Bixel's beautiful superlots are hard to grow. TWrecks has some "skyscraper - only" versions.

    If you are still having a hard time try this: XXTurbo Mod: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2462 It's not a radical mod But it raises the RCI Demand Graph to 50,000. Read the readme first! This may or may not be good for your city depending on what you want to do.

    I have a similar problem with my city.How do I break the caps?How can buildings of all growth stages exist in my city.This is a problem that prevents me from building a big city from scratch.Is there any mod to help?

    Parks and other civic buildings help break caps. Airports and seaports help. Don't be in a rush. Just play.

    Caps are quite easy to break, and to be honest I never even think about them when building a city. The key is just not to try and build a replica manhattan in every city you build. For every huge metropolis, you need a few surrounding towns filled with low-medium denisty tiles. Otherwise, you are going to hit cap and demand issues very often. If it is a cap issue, mosse is correct with the idea that parks/civic buildings etc help cap. But, it simply could be an issue of randomness. If you, for example, are trying to get a downlodable 4X4 building to construct..well, there are a good amount of other 4x4 buildings that can be generated too. Perhaps try deleting every building that constructs in that tile space until you get the one you want? I'm not sure if you are trying to get stage 8 or stage 1 buildings to grow, but if they are stage 8, then I would think your city could handle the relatively low cost of deleting a couple buildings. Beyond that, make sure you have the Growable.dat plugin with each building you downloaded. Check to see if these buildings are also avaliable as a landmark..not all downloadable buildings are avaliable as both growable/landmarks, but if none of the buildings you downloaded are, then perhaps you only downloaded the .dat file.

    As far as I know, dependencies shouldn't matter. The building would construct, but you would just see a lovely giant brown box.
