I've checked through the last 50 created threads, and they all seem fine. You might just want to add this one, which I mentioned on the previous page:

Thanks for reporting, I've added it to the list of problem threads on the previous page. So far it appears that the problem threads are displaying as part as "The Socialist Lounge" or "Boomtown" - if that's any help to the powers that be (admins ) and manage the groups plugin.

Have been connected all thru Fri, 5/31 to present. Sat early a.m. Am aware you did maintenance upgrade during the day. Didn't mind the downtime, but have a problem. Am currently browsing thru "Maps" in STEX, using oldest-newest. Randomly getting page errors which appear to be accumulating as I advance thru pages. That is, 2 pages in a row will give error, next willl be fine. 3 pages later, additional errors are listed. Each of these error lines is displayed before the black tool bar. As you scroll down page, errors scroll off, but tool bar is left in middle of page. As errors accumulate, tool bar moves further down page, until good page pops up. Next time I hit an error page, tool bar is further down page. Am using Opera v10.3, Win98SE.

I am attaching a screen shot. I reduced it to 16 colors, to limit the image size, but you can clearly see the problem. (Yes, I know the black tool bar runs off the screen because I use Opera's zoom function, but the error has nothing to do with the zoom.) I'm not sure what the correct term for this type of bar is, but I find it and its ilk on other web sites rather annoying, and would love to be able to turn it off. Perhaps a setting in our profiles?

 

Ok, I can choose my 760kb .jpg file, its full file spec shows up in the file name box, but after clicking the "Attach This File" button, I get the error msg. "Error No file was selected for upload", so you'll have to make do with my verbal description. Hope you can work this out.

Small but annoying.  The caption on the "Browse" button in the post editor for attachments does not resize if the font is changed.  I use my system default font, and it is set to 1.4 times normal due to my lousy eyesight.  Other system text boxes and buttons should be all resizable.

In my signature, it seems that I can never change font sizes, regardless of the size.  Is this true for everyone??

Yes, same here.

 

There must be some kind of filtering in place, as all signature fonts appear to be the same size. It's also not possible to reduce it. Custom sizes can be saved in your profile, but they don't transfer to the forums. So I guess the only option would be to choose an alternative style (some are slightly larger), or create a signature banner containing text.

 

There's a possibility that overly large fonts could be misused, such as to attract attention towards advertising / spam. That's why we probably have this restriction.

Any updates on the Wiki? It's been rater tiring smiting all these spambots... A filter would help or at least having a few more mods there will help distribute the workload. Some days can be rather awful.

I am not sure where to post this but this seems the appropriate thread. 1. The Enter key works on my phone but does not submit when posting from my IPB App to Simtropolis. 2. Enter works on my other IP.Board forums but not here. 3. I don't experience this bug on the desktop version. 4. Each of these numbers should be on a different line and there should be two spaces between the end of this line and my name. --Ocram

Phones and the web combine into a giant pain in the nether regions.  All things being considered, I am very glad I didn't fall into that silliness.

This morning I got a shower of e-mail notifications, most bogus.  Interestingly, I got some for replies I still have outstanding.  Have we been messing with the messenger system?  Some of them appear to be advertising, and others are legitimate replies.  Looks like the system has been hacked.  I am deleting all of them, and I hope that only the real ones show up in my in-box.

 

The main offender appears to be a user NDHeat.

Yeah, that user was just a blatant troll, and has now been dealt with. The PM system had been abused, but nothing was compromised.

Still having issues with downloading lots from here (Just downloaded NAM on ModDB and a bunch of lots off of the LEX). Running XP Home edition,  with Firefox ver. 23.

It happens with most everything using zip format, usually it'll freeze with less than 25% complete... but if I spam the D/L button enough times I can get a complete, non-corrupt file.

Wonder if it associated with your link speed and/or ISP.  What kind of link do you have?  The point about zip files is to reduce the number of bytes transmitted.  What O/S are you running and is your firewall set up OK?

Just noticed: Posted images and those from user profiles appear to be missing, including those on the board index. This seems to be consistent on all forums. There's not a loading error, just an empty space where images should appear. Strangely the profile icons on the right sidebar (above status updates) are not affected.

 

I've tested on Firefox 23.0, Chrome 28.0.1500.95 and IE9 with no difference.

Something clearly derped. I can't see avatars or any images on the site, even if they are hosted elsewhere.

 

Signature images and awards seem to be strangely unaffected however.

Running through Inspect Element seems to suggest that the avatars and IMG tags are missing from the site code for some reason.

I've noticed this too.  All images except avatars seem to be missing.  Was there an update or have we been hacked?

 

When I posted this, my avatar and signature images were presented, but not when I recalled the post.

The Read/Unread images are still showing up as is the tag image, so it seems to affect anything not hardcoded into the CSS. Outside of the forums, only avatars seem to be affected.

 

EDIT: Just had a thought as this post was being sent. What if it's a glitch with the post body? ...But that still doesn't explain the avatars not appearing at all...
