You take a vacation and a government srings to life while you're away. Good to see Green Depra has made another step toward its independence and that its parliament is fairly well balanced and dedicated to preserving the green that all have come to know and love. Of the four, I favor the Green Party and am glad that they have a decent representation in parliament however I also feel strong economic development is necessary (though not at the cost of the natural splendor. Out of curiousity, how long is the office/position of Lord and how many terms may be served? I have to say I will be watching the political developments carefully.

Wilminkton looks great. I especially like the transit-enabled pedestrian malls as I have been looking for a way to set the commercial zones back from the street a bit. It would be interesting (if they aren't any that way already) to see the parking lots like the ones around your firehouse (also lower in the mosaic) adapted to work that way (to mimic some of the parking lots near where I live: essentially a main road, a strip of grass and a single row of spots and a walkway before the stores). How did you get the house on the corner (lower part of the mosaic) to sit at an angle like that?

Finally, with the farm economy booming (and thus the high prices) it seems appropriate that another winery should spring up to compete with that small one, quality should be there of course, but still the time seems right if the land exists.

Sorry for the fairly long(winded) response. Merry Christmas and hope to see this CJ continue well into the New Year.

Calling for an update plz plz plz plz!  3.gif

I know you're gone for the holidays but we want more updates!  3.gif3.gif

No pressure whatsoever but you created this fantastically popular city now you need to take care of that popularity!  3.gif3.gif3.gif

Because we want more updates!  3.gif3.gif3.gif3.gif

I hope you caught the mock-3-year-old tone as a joke with the 3.gifs.  Holidays are for taking a break, so take your time!

Wow. You're good with roads. Those houses. I don't see anything that's transit enabled. How do you do it anyways? How long does it take for you to put together an update?

Choco, this was a relaxing update! Green, peacefull, who wouldn't want to live there!
Great use of those red brick streets!
I especially liked the way you made that parking space behind the small fire station!
And as usual your mosaics are always inviting!
Great work mate!
Take care 44.gif

Fantastic CJ! I would've at first said, like someone else, that the spidery patchwork of trees wasn't my favorite thing, but you changed my mind. Then I started looking at aerial photos of where I live - North Carolina - and heck, it looks exactly like that! Farm fields on hills and flats with strips of trees all around the rivers and streams. Of course, it's easier to build where the land is already cleared when it starts to develop. And props to the Green Deprans who are preserving the trees left in their land. Makes sense now, and the way you've done it is absolutely beautiful. Good work!

Phew! That was one long update! 47.gif Great job! And nice job on the custom lots going through the roads. But do you get tired of the glitch with the Brick Streets and the Euro Roads with the yellow double-line coming up at intersections?

PS: And that fire station in one of those near-to-last pictures looked cool. Is it custom made? I can't find it on the STEX. Never mind, I found it. I accidentally typed frie instead of fire. Oops. 21.gif3.gif

Thanks so much for all your gracious comments guys! I really appreciate them!!

But unfortunately I've been really busy around the festive season and now I'm going on holiday for a week! So I don't have time to answer your amazing (and some quite large) comments, or do an update.

But Green Depra will be back in ONE WEEK!

Thanks for all your support everyone!

those beautiful green trees in the last picture you posted... did you download them? if so, would you be so kind as to tell me where I could find them, I've searched and have been unable to locate them.

You have done some very nice work on this journal, I have followed you with interest for some time now.

CMax....you have simply done something. I am looking to start using some of the mods you are using (I use Cycledogg already)...

Actually...Green Depra is linked to so many signatures that it wows me! The second most links I think are tied between somebody and Chaumont...

Wow, this is a truly stunning CJ... nice work.
at 20+ pages, it's taken a bit of time for me to catch up with what's going on in Green Depra, but I've really enjoyed it, the pictures and mosaics are beutiful, and the political storyline make for an interesting read.
Now that I'm up to speed, I think I'll be visiting Green Depra quite often.
Enjoy your holiday, chocolatemax285, I look forward to your next update.

Wow, this CJ is incredible. Excellent use of trees; I especially like how you make the coastline look rough and realistic.

BTW - are you gonna do a CJ for Gold Depra?

I hope you had a fantastic holiday from SimTrop!

I will be looking forward to the next update late tomorrow my time!2.gif (Not too many people on here which that comment applies!)

P.S. I have just posted up some generic Australian freeway signs on the STEX just a few minutes ago. I think you will like them. They are written in the proper fonts, have the proper colours and pictures and etc. If you want some made for Green Depra, simply reply in my thread in the Transit Network forums and request the signs that you want.
