Hey everyone!  Thanks so much for the comments, and welcome to page 22!

Its one o'clock here, so I'm just going to get on with it!  Personal comments tomorrow.

    Update 27:

The long awaited new adition of the Green Depra Times, I hope this makes sence to everyone, sometimes I have a tendency to not make sence when I'm writing, so I hope that hasen't happened! 21.gif

If anyone doesn't understand what the references to the parties and systems are in this paper are, then turn to  page 19 for a complete political guide of Green Depra.

Now for the bulk of the update, lets take a look at Fur Hills!

    Fur-Hills-Opener.jpg

Fur Hills is undergoing a major change, and as you will soon see the once nothing but farms and industry town has changed alot, and now contains some of the most dense suburbs, and some of the calmest.

The rail network cuts through the middle of one part of Fur Hills, on one side are wall to wall apartments and on the other smaller country homes.  This area is a favorite place for the Red Deprovian Immagrants, and they have brought their own architecture to this town.

After the rush of people, the Lord quickly ordered the building of a large school with an oval, and a small concert hall to service the surrounding areas.

This is the western side of the tracks and the school, the town has distinctive feels to it, which change from spot to spot.

In another part of Fur Hills, the tennis stadium of Green Depra overlooks the wetlands and local houses, every year the Green Open is held at these courts and is fast becoming a major international tournament

I think this update was a bit different from my usual style, the towns I mean, so I'll be interested to see what everyone thinks!  I always like to experiment and try new things with Green Depra, and this is the first time I've worked with lots of mid-rise residential.

Well, this was more of an all-visual update, but I sure am tired!  So I'm off to bed, if you have looked at my four mosaics and paper and have liked them, then please leave a comment!

I will reply to all your comments tomorrow! (thats going to be a huge list!)

Good night, and expect many more updates on Green Depra to come! 48.gif

    Cheers, choco.

One my first look I was bit disappointed - still no update ... and just when I wanted to quit and go offline... bingo!44.gif
Nice newspaper - and the adds are great! I like the mediterran touch of the update - frogface's buildings still do wonders regarding to that it seems .. just ... the first pic ... with the railwasy slope bigger than the road slope ... tsk tsk tsk! 20.gif28.gif

Except for that your placing of the trees is still extraordinairy! And I did enjoy your nice mosaic!

As always, a Green Depra update is a must when you want to relax!
Good use of the midrise residential lots! I particularly like those thin and pink buildings, very mediteranean look!

    Take care!

Phew, this took alot of effort!  I have GOT to do this more often, I promise this won't happen again.  I think this will probably be the biggest personal comments ever made on simtropolis, or at least in Green Depra!

Glad to see you are back in action and that everything seems to be keeping to the same high standards you've set. I love the tennis complex, concert field, and the train station on that hill. Although the highrises looked as though they were drawn from many different architectural styles (victorian, modern, etc) it still looks like a nice neighborhood. That creek/pond from the last shot looks like it took you some time too. The first two laws reported on in the paper seem good but the third may have some issues. Taxing the rich more than the poor has its inherent benefits but may stagnate development or the incentive for growth as more would just be taxed away (great for keeping many people fairly equal but bad for spurring innovation) and depending on the size of the welfare, it may discourage active and genuine job seeking (unless there is a term on the time it covers a person). Sorry if my analysis bothersome (the economist in me). Again, such innovation is astounding. May there be many pages to come.

Hey ChocolateMax! I have two quick questions, on your large picture with the soccer field, which looks awesome by the way, where did you get those black trails that connect to your parking lots?

Also, is that a custom terrain you made, or did you download it? It looks very cool and I'm a little interested in maybe downloading it my self, if it's not custom made.

I see that this is a very successful journal and i like to congradulate you on your great region. You have done a great job. I love Family Guy.

But I'd also like to offer some critizism. I didn't not like your city of Fur Hills. The architecture lacks a sense of style. I don't like all the different types of buildings in one area. Your city has subburban houses, british houses, mediteranean apartments, new york style rowhouses, and modern apartments all in one city. I just don't think that looks nice and realistic.

Overall Good Job, I like the parks, railroad, and sea edge.

Another nice update. Thanks for the response to us posters, but old style politics, what are socialists?? 9.gif  Anyway, I enjoy the political perspecive in the CJ.  Looking foward to seeing a transportation map someday.

The variety of buildings really create a great atmosphere and come out well.  I like how the Meditteranian midrises go with the British buildings.  The rail tunnel next to the concert hall is also a great piece of work.

    Keep up the great work!10.gif

Great to see an new update. I myself was away from this forum too long, but i am glad to see new updats and they are stunning as ever. 29.gif

A very nice touch is that little back pedestrian street in the first mosaic.
I like that pinkish triangular building although it seems to pop up all around town (that developer must be crazy).
beatifull concert hall. Can you give me a link to it?
Those side tracks across the street and behind the church. Whose are they and are they transit enabled?

Can you also point me to the gravel tennis courts?

Anyway enough home work for now. 2.gif
