Oh, so many comments!  Thanks so much for the support everybody!  I appreciate it very much!

jacqulina Thanks friend!  I appreciate your comments!

Nik-nik Why hello! Yep, the updates have been coming along quickly.  I know what you mean, when I'm looking for anything I automatically open the parks menu, which is very annoying! They are great BATs, I think SOMYs are the most clear and well designed industry buildings I've ever seen in simcity.  Yes, those little BATs are quite nice, and I think have a great place in any realistic city.  Thanks for your comments mate.

Micah Hey Micah!  Yeah, I've been overwhelmed!  But its brilliant.  Thanks for the gracious compliment. 9.gif

SYM Productions Woah!  Big comment! 18.gif I agree, a packed city is a realistic one, and of course Green Depra is less packed than a real city.  But we have to make room for the trees. 19.gif Yes, Im' a huge fan of the seaport village, Cobb is a genius.

Thanks, although I wasn't entirely happy with the water colour of the creek.  But what are you going to do? 21.gif

Haha, you got my evil plan. 22.gif Yeah, I like plopping across a town, it has a nice affect.  The council is very perticular about which buildings it allows, and many have been pushed back.  2.gif I'm sure the council will alow it when its necicery, it will definately choose that over cutting down trees.

Thanks alot!  I wnjoyed making them, althoguh I had a few crashes during the process! But then I just had to be careful, in the end I refered it over a rail nework.  Much nicer in my opinion.  Yeah, that cute little overpass was a favorite of mine.

Oh, anyone can run for coucil, thats part of Green Depras equal law policy... 2.gif

Thanks for your comments man. Pah, you call that a rant! 17.gif

threestooges Hi!  Welcome back!  Thanks, the creek was fun and it was great to be finally able to make one in simcity. 19.gif Thanks mate, the coucil is always looking out for the best for the environment.  And so it was very careful about its design of the city to make sure everything was friendly, and it didn't get dirty.  I'm glad you liked it.  Cheers mate.

sim1234 Thanks very much for your compliments!  The council refuses to let Green Depra turn any other colour.  Green all the way! 18.gif

Nardo69 Hey Nardo, great to see you.  Plopable water is brilliant, I always recomend a try, very fun! The GLR turn piece can be found at the very end of the GLR menu, just keep pressing TAB to find it!  Thanks for pointing me to the Cob Oceanic, it is a stunning building!  I just went on a Cobb Downloading spree! 9.gif I think you will see it soon in GD.  Thanks for your comments mate!

Simworld 056132 Hey mate!  Thanks so much. 19.gif I'm really glad you liked it. Catch you around.

baller23 As always thanks so much for your comments mate!

twistie Hi!  Thanks for your compliments.  If you mean the water in the Fur River then I used plopable water by Jeronij, find it here.
It is very handy and can be placed anywhere, of course its just eye candy, but a definate download.  Good luck!

jacqulina Thanks for your gracious comments, I've always tried to get alot of details in it, thats probably why it takes me so long to make!  But I think its worth it, and its glad to see that you do too. Cheers!

metasmurf Oh, so sorry, I sent them last night, I hope you enjoy them!  I also hope I sent you the right files.  Thanks mate.

ElmarO Thanks so much for your compliments, I really apreciate them mate.  The GLR is a tricky thing, it will only crash if you hover a Transit Enabled lot over a puzzle piece or the other way around.  I think.  But if you are careful and save alot when you use them it should be okay.  Goodluck, and don't give up! 9.gif

pipishere Thankyou very much, I didn't think it would be the best but its great to hear that you do.  Hmmm, I think I will continue to develop that area.  Cheers mate.

magpieshooter Thanks, I wish I was too!  Then the world would be mine! 11.gif ahem... and everthing would be green!  Thanks for your gracious comments mate. Its great to see a fellow aussie. 19.gif

christhebull  Hey, welcome to the CJ!  You can legally imigrate there if you want!  They always need more people.  I wish I could live there too!  Maybe I could evict you as well! Cheers. 18.gif
Dr. Frickenstein Hey! Welcome to the CJ!  I'm really glad you liked it, and thanks for your comments.

    Darmok Hey mate!

Thanks so much for your comments, Yes, I thought the hotel was cute, I'm glad you liked it.  Thanks, I couldn't pass up the opertunity to use the Melbourne Trams, I just love them! 29.gif Thanks for your visit, come again!

aleking Oh, what an honour, an thanks so much for your jump out of lurking!  Its also great to know I have lurkers. 18.gif

1dera3 Thats great to hear!  Congradulations.  Thanks so much for your comments, I really apreciate them mate.  And thanks so much for the bookmark, I feel honoured!  Keep an eye out, you might just enjoy the awards which are coming. 2.gif Thanks mate.

cityhawk Thanks heaps!  Welcome to Simtropolis and of course to Green Depra!  I hope you enjoy it here!  And its amazing to hear you've been following from the start! 29.gif Thanks so much for your comments, I have always tried to get the balance right.  I hope to see you again i Green Depra and in Simtropolis.  Good luck mate!

Phew!  That was alot of comments!  I should do this more often.  Thanks so much everyone!  Right now I've got a special preivew mosaic for you all.  Its of the town of Wilminkton, and is a bit of a contrast from the previous updates on this page.

This is the farms of Wilminkton, which are being expanded as we speak.  This mosaic starts with a tree farm, and then goes south, enjoy.

Hey Deathtoall! Thanks for your comments, I'm glad you liked the trams.

That tower is a nice one, and is an NDEX tower called Flatbush Residence. Find it here.

Almost all of the towers used in that update were NDEX ones, and you can find more of their beautiful towers here.

Thanks for opening the page as well! 19.gif Goodluck with the tower.

WELCOME TO PAGE 17 EVERYONE! 9.gif

OOH!  I love the mosaic from Wilminkton... wow I can't believe it... seems like not long ago you were celebrating page 10 and 50 years... and ALREADY page 17... prepare your 20-page update... were counting on you.  44.gif If you haven't done so, BACKUP your region and the CJ and the pics... you have to keep this running no matter what happens!  Page 100 is your goal... 2.gif

<Trixies> First of all, a huge congratulations for your Trixie award. I'm going to be totally honest with you and say that I actually voted for you, but not for Unique Region, but for Most Aesthetically Pleasing City. But that doesn't matter because you got one anyway and that was for that AWESOME REGION. That is the best region map I have ever seen. Placing all of those trees in each single city would have taken as you said, days and days. Something I personally couldn't stand doing. I just hope that I can keep Lane Cove going for the next year until the next Trixies and then maybe, just maybe, i'll get nominated for it. But that is thinking way too far ahead. </Trixies>

That last picture you posted also makes me think that if I was a farmer and had the money to set up a farm anywhere in the world, I would choose Green Depra for one reason: It is brick paved all of the way to the gate of the farm. No bumpy dirt roads anywhere in sight!

P.S. You might want to make some custom schools of an Australian style from the props that Deadwoods has released. It would fit in very nicely with the cities you are creating. I'm creating a custom one for my new suburb addon in mine. It even has portable classrooms that look exactly like the real thing.

    First off:

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE TRIXIE FOR UNIQUE REGION!
    I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

Now, for anyone who is new to Green Depra and wants to see the region then look here:

    Green-Depra_small2.jpg

Seriously, I really appreciate it, I never would have though Green Depra would have gotten a trixie!

And now to respond to everyones gracious comments:

SYM Productions I know exactly what you mean SYM!  I remeber first building this region and now I have hit 17 pages!  And, I will make 100 pages my goal for the future!  Thanks for your comments mate.

hyped_up_boy Thanks, I'm glad you liked the mosaics.

sloppet Thanks for popping by sloppet, and thanks for the trixie banner!

aleking Thankyou Alek, I appreciate that.  And congradulations on your two awards, you definately deserved the awe inspireing cities because thats the best way to describe your Cities!

lakeyboy Evening friend.  Well, what can I say, first off, its an honour to have you nominate me, thanks so much.  It did take along time, although it was entirely worth it as I enjoyed doing it, and its even better to receave an award for it.  I could entirely imagine Lane Cove being a contender, and I am behind you all the way.  19.gif  Thanks alot, I would also like to farm there, I think I would find it very smooth.  Hehehe, yeah the farmers love their smooth drives, they demand nothing less than perfection.

Oh, I didn't know deadwoods did that, but I will definately look into it.  I have always wanted some real aussie schools.  Thanks so much for the tip.  And thankyou so much for your great support! 9.gif

MasterPlanMan Thankyou mate!  You were dead on, and thanks so much for your continued support.  Cheers.

maetoch Hey, its great that you liked it.  You can find the plopable water  here.   Thanks for your coments.

Thanks everyone!  Especially everyone who nominated me, THANKYOU!

    Expect more updates very soon!

    Cheers, choco.

PS: cool!  Now I have a custom title!  Thats awsome. 16.gif

Great work on this. Extremely unusual region.

I didn't get around to nominating anybody for trixies this year (it's amazing, things seem to come up around this time of year).

Congratulations to everyone who won, and keep on updating, folks, it's great to see such a high standard of City Journal on ST. I only hope my next journal (coming some time in the new year).

Great that this year's trixie colour is blue (happens to be my fave).

Congratulations on the Trixie, I was torn between voting for Unique Region and Aesthetically Pleasiing City (incidentally I voted for Aesthetics). I would've been shocked if this was passed over for either. Secondly great farms (expecially the tree farm). If that is not part of a farm pack, very innovative idea. If it is part of a farm pack, you make it look good. Congratulations again, and look forward to seeing more.

    wow, what a beautiful region.

I have just spent the past couple of hours looking through all the pages. At first i didnt like the look of your cj, the first page or two when i originally looked at it. But now it looks amazing and will be a firm favourite of mine.

I dont know whether it is you altering the contrast but you're buildings look sooooo much better than mine. Particularly the tower-blocks, do you have a large amount of BATs, i noticed soem of wondered whether many of them are in-game buildings that i havent seen yet.

Also as with tennismaster i'd like to know what those farms are. I've got quite a few farming EPs but don't recognize eoither of those. Many thanks

I'd say it's no surprise that you won a Trixie! I would have guessed that you'd get aesthetically pleasing, but who can argue that this is a unique region. Looking forward to more excellence here!

Is this the first time i post here?  I think yes, though i did look in a few times. Shame on me, did it really have to take a Trixie?  (... for me to leave a comment, I mean.)  Well anyhow:

39.gif congratulations, you really really deserve the award. 39.gif

The most unique thing about this journal -- apart from the region itself -- is the incredibly pleasing use of nature-related stuff, the creek of course being marvellous.  But also, there's a lot of other perfect little details, from walkways, pedestrian tunnels on the back side of stations, the loop at the end of the GLR line, the way you build the bridges and the use of walls... to name only a few...

It has probably been said before, this journal is like chocolate!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR GRACIOUS SUPPORT!

But now, I'm not the only one that is celebrating the trixie win, oh no!

Lets look at how Green Depra is celebrating...

    *BUZZ*

Wow Jan, its really going off down here!
Yes it is Tom, we are here on location at Green Depra

The Green Depras sure know how to party, don't they Jan?
Most certainly Tom!  They are literally lining the streets here!
And what is this one about anyway Jan?
Its about something called a Trixie?
    What the hell is that?
I have no idea Tom, and I don't think the crowd does either!
     But they don't care!
No they don't, this has to be the biggest street party in Green Depra History!
It most certainly is! And they have all massed to a suberb called Fur Hills!
    These hills aren't very fury.
    Shut up Tom
    Sorry Jan

Cough, um lets cross to the live video feed from Green Depra
Yes, Jan, whatever you say, because you're the princess of the world!
    Oh Shut up Tom!
Oh, sorry is her majesty upset?
    Oh thats it!

    newPCbanner.jpg

louisville327  Thanks very much, and thankyou very, very much for the nomination!  I'm glad to say I nominated your CJs as well!  And I have to say that you deserved the trixie very much, no other CJ I've seen has had better city design than New Urbanism!  I won't slack off, although I have a little bit recently.  There will be many more Green updates to come! 44.gif

cammo2003 Hey! Thanks so much for your comments.  Its a shame you didn't get to nominate anyone, because its quite a fun thing to do!  Cheers, and thanks, I'm also a fan of the blue, although I would prefer a nice green! 2.gif

Tennismaster1 Hi!  Thanks.  Um, if you are talking about the farms in those pictures then you can find them  here. They are by JD myers, enjoy.

sim1234 Thanks my good friend!  You have been a great support since the very start of this CJ, so I thank you.

threestooges Hey mate!  Thanks so much for your nomination, and I was extremely happy to receave a honourable mention for Aesthetically Pleasing City, and a trixie!  So I was pretty close, and thanks for your vote my friend!  It was part of a farm pack, but thanks for your comments!

jacqulina Thanks very much!  And congratulations on your well deserved trixie, I have to tell you I was one of your nominees, and one of my statements was in your little bio thing!  Cheers, and I'm glad you liked the rural area.
Dr. Frickenstein Thanks Fricky!  I appreciate it!

davejowsey Thanks!  I'm glad you liked the region.  Yeah, I amyself am not a huge fan of the first two pages, but I guess I got better as time moved on.  I'm really happy that its a fav of yours.  I do use alot of BATs, and I also photoshop my images by altering the contrast.  you can see the link of the farms in my reply to TennisMaster, they are nice farms and you just need to scroll down the page a bit!  Good luck and thanks for stopping by. 48.gif

Nardo69 THANKS BERNARD!!! I couldn't have done it without the support of you and others!  It is an honour to have your 999th post in my CJ mate!  Thanks for your comments and support!  Cheers!
