Thanks everyone for your gracious comments!  Sorry about the slowness of updates, but I wanted to get these next few just right before I posted them, and you will soon see why it tool me a while (plus I was studying for school)

Now, this is just a quick special preview before I post my next update.

But I'm sure you'll all like this just as much.
    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/GD-wreath.jpg align=baseline>
This is the official emblem of Green Depra.  It is the logo for the governing council and appears on all official documents.  It was created by a great Green Depra Artist known as Picazo (pronounced: pi-ka-zo, not to be affiliated with any artists with an 's')

The Green Depra Times has gotten larger and has gained a large readers following, as it is the only newspaper in Green Depra.  The papers are getting larger and larger, and here is a grouped version of the first two pages..

    Enjoy...

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/NEWS21.jpg align=baseline>

Thanks everyone, look for an update on the Parade tonight and an update on the concert tomorrow morning..

    Cheers, choco.

    (update 20b)

This celebration has taken off, and the overall celebration is not half way through.  Natures Parade however, is coming to an end.  An it will end at a grand statue of a beautiful Godess.  She was the god of the ancient Depra Religion, which is no longer followed, but is still honoured.  Her name was Deprina and she was The Lady of the Earth, according to the ancient religion she was the link between Nature and humans and kept them in an eternal balance.  While the active religion is very dead, it is still celebrated as a piece of Depras Past, and as a ceremony for nature.

The parade nears the end of its trip...

    Salt-Bluff-Feb1.jpg

The floats drive towards the courtyard, it is called Deprina's Court.

    Salt-Bluff-Feb21.jpg

And as they came in, hundreds of people were greeting them, and not just around the court, but on the streets near by people watched and celebrated.

    Salt-Bluff-Feb32.jpg

A nice brick boadwalk had been set up to accomidate the many people.

    Salt-Bluff-Feb4.jpg

As people were enjoying themselves, they got hungry.  The many stores near by had profited quite well from the event, and it had proved to be a great investment for the local economy.  A small shop near by names Mc Donalds also did quite well.  This tiny, new store was the creation of a local farmer, all the locals thought the idea of a shop which sold burgers very quickly to take away was stupid.  But aparently the farmer is considering opening a second store in Salt Bluff.  But critics still say The shops won't lead anywhere, theres nothing special about them, no one will ever recognise that stupid golden M but the farmer quickly said You'll see, You'll all see!  One day I will have stores all around the world, and everyone will want my Big Macs.  The farmer was quickly taken to a Mental Institution, and deamed insane by a doctor. 2.gif

    Salt-Bluff-Feb5.jpg

The statue has been covered by beautiful flowers of all colours...

    Salt-Bluff-Feb6.jpg

    Salt-Bluff-Feb7.jpg

    Salt-Bluff-Feb8.jpg

Many shops and buisnesses closed for the event, unless they were right next to the window, then all the workers gathered at the windows and watched the parade.  Many office celebrations like these happened all across Green Depra, in celebration of the achievements of the Green Depra Citizens...

    Salt-Bluff-Feb10.jpg

    Everyone joined in the party...

But soon, word spread around of the Concert of Colour was about to begin..

    Salt-Bluff-Feb11.jpg

It was amazing how quickly all the excited crowd moved off to go to the concert, it was like a stampede.  But no-one wanted to miss the concert.

Only a few clean up guys and police were left...

But even they were wishing they were at the huge concert about to explode, just down the street.

    Salt-Bluff-Feb12.jpg

Brace yourself Green Depra Viewers, the Parade of Nature might have finished, but the 50th anaversary celebrations are far from over..

Join me tomorrow for the coverage of the Concert of Colour!

    Cheers, choco 9.gif

Great update! Congratulations to Green Depra!

Thanks everyone so so much for all the gracious support!  We have just one 50th anerversary update left before we move back to the city development!  Green Depra is developing nicely and is on the brink of becoming a new nation!

jeronij Hey Jeronij!  Thanks for stopping by, its a pleasure to have you post.  Don't worry, I did the same thing just recently in Anduin Valley, I'm sure I posted there!   Thanks for your comments, and I'm really glad you liked Wilminkton!  I feel proud to have given one of the best city designers on Simtropolis ideas, I've gotten plenty off you! 18.gif Hope to see you again!  Cheers mate!

toxicpiano Thanks for your comments, I hadn't even thought about uploading them!  They don't do anything, and are just eye candy, but I would be happy to work something out if you want to TE them.  Post here or PM me if you want to.  10.gif Cheers.

pipishere Thanks pipi, glad you liked it!

Nik-nik Yes, I really love those apartments, they look great.  They were made by Stephh (or a name close to that!) and the lots were edited by Andrea.  Glad you liked it and I hope you liked the finish, thanks!

Fabiocb Thanks for your comments, yeah I liked the police, I thought it was cute!

GMT Thanks mate.  I hadn't thought of releasing them, but I guess I could!  But they don't move or anything so its probably not that interesting to most people. 1.gif

Darmok Hi friend!  I used the lot editor to make the parade, it was simply placeing props on a large lot!  Thanks, I was aiming for a lazy atmosphere! 18.gif I did have a good weekend, thankyou!  9.gif Cheers mate.

Deathtoall Hi!  Yeah, it is pretty big for 50 years, but Green Deprovians love their celebrations!  Just look at the soccer game on page 5! Insain people! Thanks for your comments!  And thanks for opening the page! 16.gif

MsCharamut1969 Thanks for your comments!  And parades aren't in Simcity 4, I spent a while making a lot in the lot editor which looked like a parade.  It doesn't move or anything, it just looks good.  But its great to know you thought it was real! 29.gif I will try, cya around!

pipishere Thanks again my friend!  Yep, the celebrations are going off!  Cheers! 9.gif

Darmok Thanks, I'm glad you liked the farmer bit!  I couldn't help but write something about it! 18.gif Thanks mate! 48.gif
Goldfish4209 Hey goldfish, as I said I used the lot editor and made it out of props, see my personal comments on the last page, because I answered you in those.  Thanks for your comments!

MasterPlanMan Hi friend!  I'm really glad you like my presentation!  And I am becoming addicted to the LE, its a great way to get my CJ realistic and get the lots I want!  Thanks for you congradulations, and I might be beating you in pages, but I could never beat your city design and nightshots!  Thanks mate.

    Everyone:

Now, I have had a few people asking me to release the lots onto the STEX.  But as they stand they aren't much.  Really they just look good and are handy for CJ use.  They don't move, they don't connect to actual roads and just sit there.  I would be happy to release them under my name, if everyone wanted them enough and someone would Transit Enable them for me.. But I'm not sure if anyone would download... because anyone could really make them with the Lot Editor..

More updates soon, I will try and make personal comments sooner because I am replieing to the same people alot! 18.gif

    Cheers everyone, choco.

It's amazing how much detail you put into this CJ. This is by far one of the best CJ's in terms of appearence and aesthetics. Even though the amount of green is unrealistic in the real world because not everyone in the world keeps perfect lawns, it sure looks awesome. Great job, and I am proud to make my 700th post in this thread.

    Hello Choco,

I have been playing catch-up. Trying to pick up where I left off last.
How ever did you make the sims come out for a parade?? I am astonished, surprised and curious, all in one!
Now all you need, is a large, floating SpongeBob Balloon and all will be complete.

Really professional looking newpaper, you have here also!

    Nice show Chocolatemax!

Great statue, great those round flower pods on the paveway around the statue. Never noticed them on STEX before.

I hope that insane farmer never leaves the asylum. Things like that would disturb the community. Take away burgers hah! 28.gif. I hope such a place will never poor down to Wilminkton. The market in Wilminkton would prefer take-away beers I guess 2.gif
That Sushi place on the otherhand looks also nice. Where did you get those bats? They are growables?

    Looking forward to the concert.

Oh by the way, those two drunks in Wilminkton were not related to me. 39.gif39.gif

FIRST OFF:  I want to say a huge sorry to everyone!  I meant to have an update up by tonight, but again have run out of time.  I have just been so bogged down with homework.  And even when I do have time there has been several Internet Screw Ups.  26.gif Very annoying!

There might be a chance for getting an update this time tomorrow, but don't bet on it.

I really want to rap up this whole celebration thing, but when I tried to upload them tonight, my internet froze.

I think the problem should be fixed soon, so expect an update definately before the

    weeks end!

I feel like I'm letting you guys down, so sorry. 15.gif

School finishes for the year in a week, so once that is up expect many, many updates!  But right now I have exams and much homework.

I will reply to comments tommorrow!

    Thanks for all the comments!

    Cheers, choco.1.gif
