GReen Depra is awesome! This is by far, one of the all-time great CJ's. I have no words to descrive the beuty of all the streets and that first pic of the el-rail is the best!! You are definetly the best! I was wondering, what house mods or BAT's do you use, to replace the Maxis houses. I know about the Gascooker BAT's already. Thanks so much!!!!!

Both the GLR and the El Rail have been charmingly integrated with the surrounding suburban areas (something that is hard to do sometimes). It looks great. I've been reading this city journal from the beginning, and it keeps getting better and better. Good job.

This is my first time visiting your CJ and I really admire your use of light rail.  I alway thought that it would have a similiar effect on residential neighborhoods as passenger trains but I see that your using it quite successfully.   None of the homes next to it look abandoned and you have very little traffic.  I'll have to rethink my use of it.  Well done.10.gif

Verys nice updates indeed! That region shot was spectacular! Great mosaic and I really like your use of the GLR. Your low res areas look very colorful and inviting.

Again great job on constructing a beautiful region so far!

Woah!  Alot of comments, thanks everyone!

I will respond to your comments in time, but right now I'm going to go straight to the update!

    opener1.jpg

Today we will have another, all visual update with few comments from me...

The commerce of Green Depra has been picking up, and so has the exports, so new harbours are being built all across the coast.

A peaceful scene of a sail boat drifting past the harbour...
     S12.jpg

The environmentally friendly refinery, which produces minimal pollution.

    S3.jpg

Many small boats drift over the coral sea, while their passengers stare at the fish.

    S4.jpg

The large cargo ship is carful not to damage the seabed.

    S10.jpg

The Breeberg Tower next to some oil storage tanks.  A favorite place for workers.

    S5.jpg

After the Green Depra government found a huge source of oil of the coast of Furnace Hills, the shipment has been shipped up, and this is one of the largest tading areas for the oil.  This port is where the oil gets exported to Gold Depra.  This new find of oil willprove a huge kickstart in Green Depra finding its own feet.

    S6.jpg

    S7.jpg

The Breeburg Tower stands red against the port backdrop.

    S8.jpg

It is important that the workers can see at night, so many huge, expensive light towers were set up.  The locals have complained about light polution however.  The complain is still to be heard in the Green Depra Council.

    S2.jpg

The base of a huge oil tower.

    S17.jpg

The port sticks out into the reef, but the base of the sea walls are home to many fish and barnicles alike.

    S9.jpg

The breeburg tower is a huge resteraunt, which is very popular with the workers during the day...

    daymosaic1.jpg

...and with tourists and wealthy people at night.
     seaport_mosaic2.jpg

At night, the factories light up, and glow...

    S18.jpg

The port is bright, to warn oncoming ships.

    S111.jpg

The tourism to the Coral Reefs of Green Depra has stepped up, and a new cruise sompany has come into the region.  The company known as Green Star Lines has set up several terminals, with many large ships coming into the bay.

    S14.jpg

The ships are very popular at night, and in them stay hundreds of excited foriegners.

    S15.jpg

They are lit up with all the specticle of Green Depra.

    S13.jpg

    S16.jpg

I hope you enjoyed todays upadate, it wasn't a traditional update, and wasn't as green as they usually are, but I hope you enjoyed it!

BUT!  Just before I go, heres a preview for a future update...

    prievew1.jpg

    Thanks everyone! Cheers! 9.gif

Wow, awesome, Choco. Thanks for the citizenship!

    And the seaport looks awesome.

As for the animated .gif, try using ImageReady, rather than just Photoshop [you can open .psd files in IR]
And so, I took the liberty of editing my photo. 3.gif [hope you don't mind, lol]

    NanaSTGD.gif

Oh, and you can even make it transparent! [Pardon the crude PS job 45.gif]

And also, be warned of the gigantic size. If you want me to remove it, or link to it, that's fine. 3.gif

A pleasant turn of events for this burgeoning economy. Its government must be certain, though, to ensure that this newfound source of wealth does not lead it to destroy the balance it has achieved. Although I am confident that this will not happen (or be allowed to happen) and that the environment may even be made the better for it. Great ports by the way. It is very impressive, the way the reefs blend right into the ports. It seems that the tourism industry will be hitting its stride soon as well. Again, keep up the good work and, as always, I look forward to more.

    Another awesome update.....

What is that spherical tank labeled LNG and where can it be found? I'd seen that in some other CJs and I had been looking for it without success.....

threestooges Yes, the economy is benefiting, but will the environment?  The newspapers are picking up on this sudden and quick decision by the council, although the council is assuring them that it will have no effect.  I guess we will have to wait to see what happens...

metasmurf Hello!  Thanks, the ships aren't availiable for download anywhere, they are bya japaneese maker who stoped giving them out.  If you really, really, really are dying to get it, then PM me and I'll e-mail you. Cheers.

r0g3r Hey again!  Thanks, the tank can be found here , its by SOMY, a brilliant BATter, and comes in a pack with the other industry lots you can see in thise update. Search SOMY on the STEX for more of his BATs.

Very nice update of the seaport area. It looks great and I think it is greener than the average harbor.

Well I must say, great update. I love your region and the way you terraformed your terrain and your attention to detail rivals many of the great (such as Jeroni). Good work, keep it up!

The refinery looks so perfect immediately adjacent to those new seawalls. It almost looks like the seawalls are a part of the whole complex. That's a testament not only to the makers of those items but also to your good eye for putting them together like that.
