  1. Vancouver, BC - Not a Recreation

Good to see you back! I actually love that raised park over the train tracks so much a spent about 2 hours trying to replicate it the first time I saw it. I got it fairly close...
  2. Episode 25: Reading Interregional Airport

Hey! I've done some airport stuff, both in game and IRL, and here are some quick tips (disregard at will, of course): 1) Your runway is way too short. A medium tile is probably too small to be realistic, but if you need to use one, go edge-to-edge. 2) Downloading one of the aircraft packs from the STEX will allow you to use some smaller planes. For this size airport and region, probably nothing above a 737 and Regional Jets would be necessary. 3) The piers are placed too close to fit many gates (you mention this in the video), It might be best to dump them altogether and just place the gates along the back wall of the terminal, with a narrow pier coming out each end. 4) If you want to get fancy, you can extend pavement lines to each of the gates from the taxiways with puzzle pieces. Great CJ! Best of luck with your airport!
  3. Thessaloniki International Airport

Very nice looking airport (I especially like the access roads). I second what sri2 said, and would add that I certainly hope you have a people-mover in that terminal, the long end looks like quite a walk for passengers! Also, one pair of runways is a bit too close together. That isn't unrealistic - some space constrained airports actually are built like that - but it would limit operations and cause delays. You might want to think about moving the far runway in that pair a little closer to the edge of the map, since it looks like you have the space.
  4. Ionica - New Ionican International Airport Under Construction

Cool terminal. One quirk: a real terminal wouldn't have that RJ gate at that inner point - it would be a food court or atrium area or something. Awesome work, though. It looks like the USS Enterprise.
  5. Vancouver, BC - Not a Recreation

So great to see you back here again (then again, I've probably missed like 5 of your CJs by this point). This looks great! I'm not sure that the commuter rail is the most outstanding element of Boston's urban form that I'd take, but the names are a nice touch.
  6. 3. New Developments

This is a really great job. I love the realism on that mountain (and the cliffs to the river - I've been trying to pull that off forever). I'd love to see an airport as realistic as your power plant, but that Reliant Stadium in that setting looks spectacular!
  7. Flatwood - A Natural Growth Hybrid

Your transportation work here is great! I like the variety of networks and road styles, and the airport is looking good - that's pre-expansion, right? I feel like the 4-gate terminal is a bit small for a city this big. Also, there's a set of grass/fences that matches perfectly with the airport grass. It works well as a perimeter fence, and your grass/trees transition is a bit abrupt. That's nitpicking, though. Nice work. EDIT: On second look, I saw the fences. Sorry.

^ Funniest reply I've read in a very long while.
  9. Brown Wins Massachusetts Senate Seat

Being from MA (and living out-of-state - I didn't vote yesterday), I think I can speak to the issue of Romney. Politics within the state are very different than how the state sees itself in National politics. Mass. has a long tradition of Republican governors- it's necessary to balance the hopelessly corrupt and tyrannical state legislature - always controlled by the Dems. That doesn't mean that we ever liked those people. Note that when Romney went national, Mass. made it pretty clear we hated him more or less right away. This election was a local election with national implications, not a national election.
  10. Brown Wins Massachusetts Senate Seat

Guys, people who read this as a referendum on anything in Washington are missing the point. Coakey's campaign was terrible. Brown (however he may look naked) came off as an honest, down-home family man who wanted to connect with people. He never really addressed health care (accept to say he'd vote it down). He didn't really Obama-bash. I have no idea what he thinks about anything, really, based on the past 3 months. He's accumulated a sometimes scary record, of course, but I don't think anyone who voted in MA yesterday really knew any of that. This didn't have anything to do with Fox News. No one in Massachusetts watches Fox News. It's just as liberal a state today as it was yesterday. This had to do with one candidate who looked like he was worth voting for, and one who looked like she deeply wanted to lose. The bottom line here is at MA voters aren't as savvy as they think they are. This is a state that just showed tremendous arrogance, believing that they were too well-educated and politically plugged-in to get taken for a ride by someone like Scott Brown. Thus, they lost, and they blew it for the man they cheered on Sunday and elected a year ago. Today, Massachusetts is officially the most foolish state in the nation.
  11. NAM: Requests

^ That's in the latest version of the NAM under avenue roundabouts, no?
  12. Union Square Redevelopment

Awesome update. I especially like the details (opening date signs, etc.) in the pictures. You know, in all my years of using that station and those buildings (and I do it a lot), I never thought to arrange them that way, but it looks awesome.
  13. San Lorenzo University

As a user of those retaining walls, there is a staircase made especially for them so the background blends. I'm not sure if that's what you wanted, but it is possible. The university looks great, but I really like the surrounding area. The student center in the commerical district is an interesting idea. I wonder why we don't see more of those.
  14. Nyhaven: Views From Within (AIN)

Congrats on three years of work. I liked the last update, by the way. I'm a sucker for statistics.
  15. San Lorenzo Overview - Lawrence Island

Very nice work. I like how much you managed to fit (both in terms of density and effort) into a small space.
