AIX Hi, welcome to the CJ and glad you liked it.  To get the large one way roundabouts you need the latest NAM, then simple drag a one way forming a three by three circle leaving a square in the middle.  Then if you put another one way piece in the middle a fountain will apear.  Good luck and if you still need help then I will whip you up a quick picture tutorial.  Cheers!

oroen I know, it came out fast didn't it?  Good point about the roundabout.  Thanks Oroen, and how do you feel about having a city named after you as a prize for the correct guess at the game? Any ideas for a name, Nik Nik has already chosen his and its already been created!
lakeyboy Thanks so much for your comments! And I am honoured by those comparisons!  Yes, I'm really happy that you like its green-ness! As to those things... I use the Columbia terrain mod and cycledoggs trees, which are both here. Theres also a jeronji version there which is snowcapped.  The red bricks are here. And if yuo want ones which just show on high wealth then look here.  The cliff texture comes with the Cycledogg mod I showed before.  They are about all the significant mods I use except a basic water mod here.  The rest are just lots of BATs.  I hope you get what you want, and please stop by again!  I always found making real ones boring, I like to just start building and see where it takes me!  I saw your melbourne CJ and I was very impressed!  Thanks so much for your comments!  Cheers fellow melbournian, and good luck with your fantasy CJ!

Of course, I would be no-where if it wasn't for all those people who contstantly post in Green Depra.  I'm going to tak some time now to thank only a few of them.

 

These are resident passes, and state that whoever holds them is an official resident of Green Depra! Yay!

 

I have given these to the members who have posted alot and right from the start, there are alot of other people who I appreciate just as much, but in terms of man hours I will wait to make their resident passes.  So if you aren't here, then don't think I am not incredibly grateful, you're pass will come soon because this is just the first wave of passes!

Thanks Guys, now to continue the celebration, lets have a first ever sample look at Nik-Nik's new town of Wilminkton!

 

 

Wilminkton is a tourist city based on the water, here is a shot of its world famous Wilmore Reef, as well as its resort hotel and some of the local's houses.

 

This mosaic is dedicated to Sorchin , who gave me the inspiration to produce this town.

 

 

Soon: More pictures of Wilminkton and the latest of the Green Depra Celebrations.  Plus a look at the Green Depra Times.

 

Green Depra is turning 50!  Its such a coincidence that it turns 50 the same time we hit 10 pages!   A concert and street parades are being orginised for the occasion, so stay tuned.

What a great mosaic there!

I completely missed the whole thing about my having a city named for me. I have no creativity at the moment, so I'll just leave you to come up with something. Just as long as it has a good transportation network, I'll be fine with whatever you come up with (not that you should have any issues with that, judging from what you've shown so far).

Okay, thanks for your comments guys, I'll answer them in a sec.

 

But right now, I am prowd to present you with the largest ever update to Green Depra ever!  Over 40 pictures will be in this update as part of the ten pages celebration!  Lets make this the best page in Green Depra history!!

 

This update is dedicated to  Cobb, who has produced some of the nicest BATs I've ever seen, including the pier and beautiful building in this update.

 

Lets begin the tour of Wilminkton, a town named after the early explorer Nik-Nik...

 

 

Wilminkton is a new small town, known for its beautiful Reefs, its stunning views and its many holiday homes.

 

It is also a small farming community and during the winter it survives on its farming community.

 

One of the largest and most noticeable buildings in Wilminkton is the Stone Beach Resort.  It overlooks the Wilmore Reef and its residents enjoy a 5 star treatment and a beautiful peir just below their rooms.

 

 

 

 

 

On the same peninsula is a small pond, which is a favorite swimming hole for the locals, the tourists prefer the main beaches.

 

 

 

 

Just down the small street is the local tavern and restaurant, the restaurant is a favorite place for the tourists while the local Wilminktorians prefer the tavern, know as Wilmik's Bar because the original founder of Wilminkton was a heavy drinker!

 

 

 

If the tourists are bored with sitting around then they often go for a cruise on the local ferry line, which runs to Black Ash Island, Blackberry Island, and Salt Bluff.

 

 

The fishing market is a thriving economy for the region, and the tourists love to walk along the pier and shop or just watch the local fisherman.  Some even own small houses on the pier while the fisherman are confined to small shacks.

 

 

 

 

Wilminkton is also a fovorite place for boat enthusiests to go, it has great fishing spots, beautiful places to anchor and rest and basically a great atmosphere.

 

 

 

 

For the tourists from Gold Depra the reefs seem like a different amazing place, but to the locals, they are just in their backyard!

 

 

Another great site to visit is the famous Blackrock Lighthouse which guides ships into the Wilminkton Port.

 

 

The pier system is quite large and provides work and food for alot of the town.

 

 

 

There is even a market right there on the docks!  Now thats fresh fish!

 

 

It is rumoured that after a hard day work at the docks, a few drunk Wilminkton Men stumble out behind the pub and paddle up and down the bay in small canoes trying to catch fish by hitting them with oars...

 

 

The Wilminkton Port is a busy place, with many locals going about their buisness of trading and exporting.  This is a small gateway for all of Green Depra, as its second largest port.

 

 

 

 

 

Many of the port men own small apartments overlooking the Harbour.

 

 

The road which leads out of the port has many fisherman's houses.

 

 

 The township of Wilminkton is a mixture of Farmers houses and Holiday Homes.

 

 

 

 

During the summer months the town is alive with excitment, while in winter it is much quieter with most of the tourists gone some place warmer.

 

 

 Further North are the towns small farms, which produce wheat and corn for much of the region...

 

They have their own unique style, which has developed from being a very tourist driven town.  It is a subtle style which is different from the whole of Green Depra.

 

 

 

 

The pier and resorts are right on the footstep of the town and everything about Wilminkton revolve around the water.  It is a different style for Green Depra, as most of Green Depra revolves around the trees.

 

 

But no matter how many tourists come to Wilminkton, it cannot disturb the serenity of its waters...

 

 

 

 

Wilminkton is know throughout Depra as The Town of the Sea and you can see why....

So ends the largest update I've ever made, phew!  But thats not the end, tomorrow we will have more 10 page celebrations! Yay!

Holy Cow... those pictures were gorgeous!  How did you get that flora in the water...?  I noticed it on Scorchin's CJ as well, and I haven't seen a mod that has different ones, other than Goldiva's (and I don't think those came from GDV's... but I may be wrong).

I was just looking at all those last pics, and was thinking that this CJ of yours is quite unique, so relax, natural looking, inviting. That mosaic was beautiful. Even those red brick streets that I don't particularly like otherwise, seems to grow on me, and in your CJ they do belong and add a special cachet wich in french means style!

It is and was a pleasure to help you building such a great CJ although it is hard for me to give you further advice ... when I see the last update(s) with these great underwater areas I think you overtake me by far ....

My favourite is the small lake for the locals in its spectaluar inspectular habit - I just love those gems!
