  1. NAM General Discussion Thread

Hi, I have a question about the automata. I really want a city where you can always see ALOT of cars, sometimes even traffic. How do I change something in the NAM to make it more realistic that way?
  2. Region of Halle

Sim_Air: Thank you for stopping by once again! You are Halle's dedicated poster! It is always nice to hear from you! penguin007: Thank you! I will definetly keep Old Town and name a monument in your honor as an added bonus! To All: An update is in the works and the glamour of Old Town will be showcased!
  3. Region of Halle

sunrise: Thank you for the comment! Those roundabouts are awfully nice, thanks to the NAM! And now we will continue to a small update of the new commercial area! The new railroad station. parking is underground of course to preserve the natural beauty of the area! It will be be further updated soon! What may possible go on this reclaimed land? The Halle Telekom Tower! Resedential construction on the west side of the development is going smoothly! The finished resedential areas with large parking facilities [underground of course]! A general overview of the new Stadt Zentrum, or city centre. But where did the old town go? It will come back in the next update with an all new history behind it! Hopefully the integration of the old and new together will be good! I hope to see all you commenters and viewers soon! Keep me encouraged with comments! Best of luck!

Sim_Air: Thank you for coming back and enjoying Halle! I am definetly looking forward to a CJ Review. I still have some work to do! Once again, thank you! ajay_law: Thank you for stopping by! Hopefully I will keep the European flair. penguin007: Thank you for the suggestion! I will be keeping the medium size of the downtown and the city limits will be quite small with lots of parks. waldner: Thank you! jacqulina: It is absolutely wonderful to hear from such a dedicated poster! Thank you for the encouragement! Amerikaner: Thank you for revisiting! I was wrestling with how to blend the modern downtown with the old style. Hopefully in the next update you will like it! Afterall, many cities have effectively executed both styles well! Thank you once again! To All: Stay tuned for the next update! The downtown will be enlarged but don't worry... the old town will still stay in its pristine beauty, however the transportation layout will be an adventure!
  6. Region of Halle

Greeting to all! And a special thanks to those who commented! The government of Halle has attracted over 35 top developers, including major corporations to makeheadquarters in Halle and begin investing in its new future. The highlight will be the Halle Wirtshafts Park or Halle Business Park that will have large buildings, with resedential highrises and lots of complex transportation issues. Let's see the visuals! The current state of Halle. It is still quite small, only 20,000 residents. An even grander overview of the city. I can't get my farms to grow! What can be the problem? But now to the good stuff. The new area for construction. This chunk of land will serve as the epicenter for this grand project that will take over 10 years and will be constantly expanding afterward. Shortly after the announcement, a grand memorial was erected to commeroate such progress in the city. Some don't like the prospect while others do! The first corporations make their buildings at home! The reason there are no walkways is because the workers walk underground from the large parking strucutre to get into the buildings leaving a beautiful and pristine scenery. As part of the first phase, the larger avenues will faciliate the larger amounts of traffic. The roads may interfere with farms which may slowly come down! :[ And the finished carraigeway and roundabout under the railroad. The next phase of the project will include the undergrounding of the railroad and modernization of the rest of the farm areas! The entrance to the large underground parking has complex sets of cameras and detection equipment to allow a smooth and efficient way for cars to park. It is after all, the latest in technology! This so far is only a little part of the update! Stay tuned for grander projects and the relocation of old-town residents into the newer Residences. All the investment and construction pouring in to Halle is great! Thank you all for visiting!

topcliff: Sorry for the excess code, hopefully it is gone by now. It is nice to hear that we have La Jollan on the forums of Simtropolis. Thank you for the comment! Schulmanator: Thank you for taking your time from your Award-winning CJ to comment! It is very much appreciated. The development will go by quickly so stay tuned! Fresh Prince of Wmbg: Yes! The inspiration comes from Halle, Germany close to Leipzig. However, it may not be very accurate. Thank you for commenting! And to all my viewers, thank you for commenting! Keep me encouraged!
  10. Region of Halle

Greetings to all, I have started this City Journal to express my love for Germany. With a recent trip to the Rhine and Bavaria, I will use German flair, as well as American themes from my hometown of La Jolla, California to make a pleasant, peaceful CJ. I hope you guys will all enjoy the posts... some may come fast while others may have time in between. Post comments during those long periods to get me moving again! Halle is a recently independent country (region) in a German-speaking part of the world. The capitol is Halle and the towns of Wiensteig (North of Halle) and Gortenhausen (South of Halle) will be the landscape to start with. They have a vigorous modernization project set to take place in several [sim] years. I would also like to thank enourmously: Jeronij for creating MBEAR Resedential Pack! Cycledogg for his amazing terrain mod! The region of Halle in its pristine beauty. Along the coast is the scenic Highway A45 which meanders through the woods and hills. We come to our first intersection. Its grass is maintained beautifully. However a state mandate may add road signs for ease of traffical navigation. Now it is much better for drivers. A67 towards the small town of Halle. Aerial view of the new town Halle. The farms surrounding it may be in danger of expansion. We must see what will happen next. Some zoom shots of the beautiful European-syle homes! The Zentrum. A place for people to meet and socialize. A pristine Apple orchard with a bell tower. As we move north along the A45 towards Wiensteig we drive through slopes like these! Escuse the big Doubletree Hotel.... i forgot to bulldoze it before i took the shot. It was used to create demand. The farm below looks like it needs some work! Under a new road mandate from the government, the length of the dual-lane road ahead of the roundabout must be extended and road signs must be placed.... After road work.... And the finished project with road signs! Now we must head back to Halle.... a huge development is under way! Looks like the largest German developer (Arthriger) is looking to expand Halle as part of its smalltown resedential investment. Here goes the modernization.... As part of the deal, Halle demanded Arthiger to create almost 400 acres of city parks along with this exlusive fitness center named Club Rot-Weiss Halle. And that's it for today folks. Feedback is appreciated and hopefully you will come back and see what will become of Halle and how it progresses into a bustling world city. [my bread and butter]
  11. RMIP-2 Airport Lots by Voltaire

Voltaire, your work has totally revolutionized my airports. They are realistic, unique and very fun to build. Your newest additions really makes the gates less one dimensional and adds much realism. I was wondering if you could make diagonal taxiways for you latest set, because most airports have this and there is strong demand. I am hoping you have time to do this.
  12. Street Side MOD Support thread

I was wondering if I just delete all the JRJ Street MOD files from the Plugins folder and open up my city with the mod installed previously, will it crash? I am trying to uninstall it for a special part of my region.
  13. Ankara

You have amazing work. Great use of terraforming, tree building and choice of models. Can you link where you get that rocket launch pad. I would appreciate it very much. Also, in the previous pages, you used a so called "flowing water" mod. I have seen it in Simtropia, but not sure where you got it. Thanks for all the help. Your CJ is outstanding. Definetly subsribing to this.
  14. Electronic HW Toll booth with Asphalt texture
