You got rid of the "disappearing geometry" problem that I mentioned initally, and the result looks more visually interesting now.

However, I'm afraid you still haven't nailed some key features. Take a look at this cardboard model - while it doesn't provide any ready-made texture you can copy, it does give you an idea of lines - where they run, how many there are. You know, adding those seams was not an "idea" of mine, it's merely a visible feature of the real-life building that I saw on the picture you posted. ;)

The last render IS better. :) Now the "black holes" are missing, though, and I still don't see the line that runs parallel to the edges of the side parts - the angled lines. There are also seams on the four "columns" that run down the front of the building. Besides it's pretty obvious that your current concrete texture on the side parts repeats several times. I guess it will be the best (if not the only) way if you customise a texture that covers the entire thing. I have no idea if modeling the seams would work... guess another BAT-experienced person will be able to judge this better. Anyway, keep it up! You're on the right track and improving with every update.

Really starting to like the look of this, it's coming together nicely..however I still feel the glass needs bringing to life a bit more.

Looking sharp! I especially love the roof cranes. The reflections on the side glass look nice as well. Just make sure they're consistent with the front side's reflections.

Is not difficult to make a bump map and adding one will help the creating illusion of depth for the seams

It is a beautiful building, but I can't shake of feeling that it has been released prematurely. Materials still need quite a bit of work, all of them, but particularly glass and water. Also night lighting is really inadequate. And night reflections are something totally unnatural and unappealing.

May be you'll find it in yourself to make a version 2?

I think the mullions need to be slightly more prominent, maybe darkened..then what you need is a few different variations of your glass texture to be randomised..that way the bump/noise from the glass doesn't flow from one pane to another.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to this, it's a nice building indeed!

Good start but your building seems to made up of a single noisy sheet of reflecting glass. You also need to change the ground plane to something less specific, you can almost read the plate number on that taxi...

You should take a look at Jason's tutorial on glass, right now you have a single bump map applied when you should have two at a minimum, and I'd recomend 8+ to ensure that no one picks up on the repitition. He uses 8 different bump maps in his models using RGB Multiply and Mult/Sub-Map, I tend to use 16. FYI, it would be absurd, but you could have up to 400 different maps using a single RGB Multiply and two Multi/Sub-Maps. Just check out his tutorial on his thread.

    Hi,

Looking a lot better however I'd shoot for something in between the 2..the reflections look a little fuzzy now.

Try a few different materials with bump map at around 0.25 and Noise at around size 8..it's a crude way but gives decent results..they idea is to make it nice a glossy and shiny.

Other than that I think it is a lovely building. Keep it up..
