The concrete on the first lot blended in with the model better, the dark asphalt looks too dark to me.

The nightlighting underneath the drive through has to change. One of your lights isn't casting shadows, because the dish on the roof is also lighting up. Use target lights underneath the drive through and entrance way. And the big window at the front of the building should light up at night too.

The day scene is looking good, but the night scene still needs a bit of work.

And turn on the shadows in your game when you take the screen shots, will make the building look like it has been placed on the lot, rather than hovering.

Looking good, but just a few more things to do before its ready for the STEX.

Different idea: Why not leave out the asphalt altogether and illuminate the drive-through isles with light cone props in the Lot Editor? This will save you the trouble of matching your BAT to a lot texture (or vice versa), which can never be done in a completely satisfying manner anyway.

It looks good over all; however it has an appearance of not being grounded to the lot, particularly where the model and foundation flat-work meet... and the cap on the sign is way over 'white' toned downed and retextured saturation may be too high... things to consider, the model is much improved though :thumb:

I removed the asphalt I will post pictures later.

The lot looks good, so too does the building.

Just a hint, use fully grown trees, not those that grow over a set amount of time. Fully grown looks nicer, and makes your lots look more involved and thought out than having trees that will develop after a high number of ingame years. And you can also try adding planters to the flowers that are on the concrete too, that will make them look like they can actually grow there, instead of trying to grow through pavers.

Would also like to see a nightlighting image too, as that will be the final step to complete before this will be ready for upload.

    Looking good :D

These look like really nice projects. The BB&T looks excellent, but you know that white lining around the tar, you should continue it towards the concrete on the frontside of the lot, and towards the back, continue the white edge linig to the sidewalk. It looks really neat though. The sign is improved, but the dark black spot isn't so nice, but I really like this lot and really need it too.

P.S: You should add some fully grown oak trees around the BB&T sign too, it would look nice. :thumb:

    Take Care.

Looks great, and thank you so much for naming the apartments the Aaron apartments, have you thought about making your lot use dependencies, having a lot with dependencies can make the lot look better, just think about it. :D

The nightlighting still needs some adjustments. The light, or one of the lights, isn't casting any shadows, so its just illuminating every face of your model that it can see. Thats why the satellite dish on the roof has an illuminated underside.

T Wreks had a good idea, illuminate the drive through with light cones like the ones on streetlights, which will mean that the ground will look illuminated too, however you will need to change the LODs to achieve this.

The lighting in the windows looks good though, so too does the LOT. I think you just need to take a little more time with the nightlighting, and then this will be the best thing you have created so far :D

    That apartment looks great!

Don't forget to turn on shadows ingame when you take the final image for your STEX file too :P

    More Updates

    BBTLot.jpg

you've got smoothing group problem at the roof of that sign (picture in the lower right corner). GMAX thinks that it should be something smooth rather than angular so it artificially shades it like it would. You should go to the subobject level (polygon or face) and remove all and any smoothing groups.

Looking good on both the BAT's. Thanks for the oak trees on BB&T though. My CP MaxisOak Replacement mod will now be able to convert those trees into CP trees now. So it will look nice. Could you change that pinkish concrete area( where your two orange flowers are ) into a more white-ish color? I'm not too fond of pink sidewalks. It really looks great though. :thumb:

The glass still needs to be texture, but the light blue glass will not light up at night, but the dark blue glass will.

Looks nice I still think you need to add more details. I have circled this thing, this is always place below the windows on almost all buildings.

    pic01f.jpg

I still think the door is still a bet to wide.

Now this BB&T is looking real good. And so is the Aaron Apartments. One thing on the BB&T, you should add a thin white border around the bottom of the pillars on the buildings east side. But this will be basically ready for uploading. :thumb:

You still need to fix what SimFox and Hamish suggested, keep it up :)

    Thanks :D, fix the sign?

Yeah, the sign just needs that one quick fix. Nightlighting is still way too intense on the entranceway to the building and in the drive through. Just make the lights in the entranceway less intense and make it so they don't light up the whole pavement, would look good if the light just touched the sides. I'd be tempted to leave the drive through unlit, or you could light it with light cone props, however you would need to change the LODs, which isn't too difficult, but might be one too many steps that you are willing to take.

If you want advise on how to do this, then feel free to ask, or if you just want to leave it unlit then thats fine too.

Apartments look good too, not much to say about them yet.
