Great work Frex on this Bats. ;)

The scale is better than your first rendering.

However, I prefer to remind you that the scale of sim city 4 is .... strange. Indeed, the sims are 4m tall and the Maxis Bats have the good scale compared to the reality. Besides, the sim city 4's roads are too wide than the reality, because the sidewalk is 4 m and the road is 8m whereas the road's wide in reality measure between 3-3.50m . The maxis Bat are too small than sc4 Environnement. So, I don't recommand you to compare your BAT scale with the Maxis BAT scale, but to use this scale: when you make BAT.

4.5-5m to the high of a floor

1.4m wide by 3.6-3.8 high for a single door (so a double door is something like 2.8m wide by 3.6-3.8 high)

Multiplied by 1.33 the length and width if your recreat a realy BAT.

This scale is commonly used by sc4 Batter and I think it's the better scale for a BAT.

I hope that you understood what I say, because the sc4'scale is really complicated to explicate, espcially when you have a bad english like me.

That Church's BAT was very well done. Love the parking lot and the building. The Chruch's symbal( on the thin side ) is too shiny but its pretty good. Can't wait to see that BB&T released. You should do a Popeye's after Golden Corral and Best Buy. But we need a different type of Food Lino, where there is a Family Dollar and Subway conneced to it. Whatever you want. :thumb:

Also, can you not have so many black cars for your BB&T, its unrealistic, I'd like a lot of different cars in the parking lot to show that many different people go to the bank. The scales good though, can't wait.

I think so, yeah, but only you can know for sure. To me it looks like it's finished.

the bbt sign looks a bit too big to me, and the red poles could use a tone of red a bit less saturated, other than that looks like your best project so far, maybe you can add an antenna to the roof and a couple of ac units on the sides...

It looks good, but there are a few things that need some work:

rgbbuilding.jpg

Red: The wall has extended beyond the limits of the roof.

Green: The door looks squashed and too square for a single frame. Extended the top of the door up a bit more.

Yellow: This is where texturing could use a bit more work. The two top images could use the islands in the driveway looking little less white. They are standing out too much, so they could become a concrete colour, which would fix the problem. And toning down the red colour would look better too. The bottom left image the ground plane could use a more interesting texture. Try something like tiles or pavers, something less white at least. And the bottom right image, the boxes need a better texture because they are looking way too white and featureless.

White is fine, but in the real world this get really dirty really quickly. I find its hard to replicate dirt in SC4, so changing it to a texture that doesn't show dirt as much as white does is usually the best bet. For instance concrete or bricks won't show as much dirt as a white render would.

These are the finishing touches, so its almost ready to export I think.

I think you're 95% ready to export and lot, but Hamish has some good points there. I agree with him that you could improve your BAT if you changed the things he pointed out.

I'd like to bring up another thought: Have you modeled so much ground for any particular reason? I'm asking because it is very hard to make lotted and BATted ground look good together. For example, you could leave out the ground in those drive-thru lanes. This will make considerably easier to have these lanes appear as an organic part of the lot and not as something that's been set on top.

I'm with the others in saying that this is probably your best BAT yet. Keep it up! :golly:

Thanks You Guys, I will fix everything, also Thank You for sticking with me through this project. :thumb:

I think I will make some overylay textures to match the drive thru ones, like I did for Church's Chicken.

Almost ready for export. I think you need to make the windows more see through and texture the part where the cars drive through. It looks good. Try to make the lot similar to ITC banking lots though, this would fit in well with them. I'll defiantly download this.

Its looking really good, but the boxes in the drive through need some different texture. At the moment they are just a big white box with something red on them. If they are white in real life then thats fine, maybe just some more detail like service hatches at the back, or something other than just full white. at the moment they are an unnecessary focal point, when they should just blend in with the rest of the building.

Some nightlighting renders would be good to see. The night lighting would be quite interesting with this lot, having the drive through, the entrance way and the windows. Would like to see how the nightlighting is coming along before the final export.

But its looking really good so far, keep it up :D

Hmm, looks good, but can you detail that small BB&T sign, it is too shiny, and I really would want that sign to be textured much better. The lot is pretty good though. Can you replace those trees with oak though, I have a mod that changes maxis oaks into Cycledogg trees, so this lot would have them. Maybe make the grass have more flowers and make it look pretty. Just a little more work on the pavement though. Can you have those white outlines be everywhere against the pavement except for entrances. And make the parking lot fit in. Just make the lot look pretty, the building is okay, but I'd like see through windows. It really looks good, but take some time on the lot, I'd like it to look really neat and pretty. :thumb:
