It looks amazing!

Amsterdam1979: I think you mean 2 models i had uploaded...yeah i deleted them from stex for various reasons.

ah really? Yes now i remember it was you that had these uploads. I was also thinking of simfox maybe.

Anyway, you had some great bats man, too bad you removed them. Any chance you will put them back?

By the way, you're from Greece? love your country; it's where i met my wife!

Talk to you later!

I think the linmestone on the Woolworth needs to be a little lighter and a touch warmer, also the green crown should be a little darker and have some weathering...other than that I love it, one of my favourite buildings...

Too dirty IMO, way too dirty...I know everyone is singing the praises and it's beautiful..but lets try and be a bit more constructive guys?! I thought it was nicer before, its doesn't seem as crisp and seems more like a GMAX model now..still amazing though, but you can do better :)

Hey gclub, i understand your comment, but the AI building is definitely like this. When in the sun, it has a different look on itself, but this building is quite dark. I've visited this building myself a lot of times, and the dark or dirt makes the building unique, mystique and somewhat eerie. They actually cleaned the building the last couple years since it is now residential, but it still has the dark on its facade. It is very good of you that you have critisism, cause otherwise we would be saying every bat is gorgeous, so that is a good aspect but AI building is a unique one.

There is a certain look that needs to be accomplished with this building. From Wikipedia:

"One of the most famous themes of the limestone-clad tower is a mountain with a snow cap."

From New York Landmarks Preservation Commission's report:

"..clad with white brick, light gray Indiana limestone, and speckled rose-and-black granite..." (page 1)

also:

"...mostly light-colored materials were chosen, namely south Indiana

limestone for the lowest elevations and four different shades of white-gray face brick, which
darken slightly near the top – to increase the contrast of the tower against a bright sky. A striking
exception is the polished red-and-black Brazilian granite veneer that extends around the base and
continues the vertical expression of the limestone piers." (page 5)

and also:

"Description

The Cities Service Building rises on a sloping, trapezoidal parcel bounded by Pine Street,
Cedar Street, and Pearl Street. The building consists of an asymmetrical base, a slender tower
that rises in a symmetrical manner from the 31st floor, and a faceted spire. The west facade is
visible above the seventh floor. Viewed from the east and west, setbacks are symmetrical. The 10
facade is mostly faced with light-colored brick and grayish limestone except for the lower part of
the ground floor which is clad with polished red and black granite panels. The brick lightens in
color as the elevations rise. Between the third and fourth floors, the spandrels incorporate large
rosettes, made of carved limestone or terra cotta. Above the fourth story windows, the spandrels
are brick, with two raised vertical bands laid over four horizontal bands. The multiple irregular
setbacks vary in height and depth and are enclosed with decorative aluminum railings. The
double hung windows are not historic but resemble the originals. Some terraces can be accessed
through doors." (page 9 to 10)

I'd advise you to read the document. It features good images and siteplans.

Hahaha, this is really funny.

Darknono, welcome to the professional level where people will no longer sit down with you, take your hand and help you turn an untextured cube into a textured cube, but throw bunches of photos and long expert papers in your face over a BAT that's pretty darn awesome already. :P

I'm not even only joking: The fact that you receive such detailed and high-quality feedback really shows that you are meanwhile being taken absolutely seriously, and that commenters trust in your ability to recreate just about anything if you just get enough helpful input for reference. You know you have matured as a BATter when you have reached this level, and although it might not feel easy at first, it's something to be proud of. :)

I want to doing perfectly and beautiful like they apeared in my first visit  of NYC.
This buildins are real symbols for the Big Apple, and it's time to model them :)

I'm working on every days, to add details, facade colors, dirts, windows colors and reflections. It's even almost become a passion.

I promise to you, an great result, and many other famous NYC buildings.

    Thanks guys ;) !

@Thande: World Finanacial Center is postponed after the Art Deco update ;)

@ilikehotdogsalot: You're right, you should re-install the game right now, Why have you remove it ? ;)

Here an other update for the BoNY, I've just re-work the facade, now I need to fix the great windows on the top of the building ;)
