    Thanks guys :D

Here the first work on the BoNY nightlight. I've just choose the color and the texture. This is not the final settings for the light ;)

I'll create the light for the top of the tower, and for the main lobby.

Those night lights look spot on to me - not too flashy, not too chaotc, and coherent enough for a commercial building. No suggestions at this time, looking forward to the light in the lobby and on the rooftop. :golly:

    EDIT

For American International, it may be better to get rid of the rounded corners of the BATted ground, or to get rid of the BATted ground altogether. If you keep it, it would be best to make sure it will cover the entire lot. Apart from that, both day renders look spectacular to me!

Great progress! I also agree with twrecks, I would drop the batted base. From a lotting perspective it really hinders what can be done with the BAT as far as creative lotting. Also, anything other than the standard maxis sidewalks will look less than appealing when combined with this BAT.

Thanks guys, I would like keep the sidewalks of the American International to create the real sidewalks around this one, but it's like you want :)

Here the BoNY nightlight, small progress but I think it's good :D . Now, I need to create light for the inside of the main entrance of the tower.
For the top of the building, I would like illuminate the crown with spot light, to decorate your CBD :D

Here the new update of this BoNY :D . I need to down the intensity of the spotlights located around the tower, because I think they are too bright.

I hope you like it :)

:O loving the changes I can't wait to test the building :D

I have one question what are you going to do with your old buildings that you remade, are you doing to delete them?

I deleted my old content to not confuse downloaders, I'm not sure what you may have in mind. :)

Your attention to detail is spot on.  I just love the internal views through the windows...top drawer.

I have one if you please

give more realism to the lights
especially those that are in the crown of the building

I agree that especially that spotlight at half height needs to be toned down a lot. It creates weird-looking shadow/illumination effects around the windows above.

Otherwise, the night lights are superb.

    As for the folliowing topic:

I have one question what are you going to do with your old buildings that you remade, are you doing to delete them?

I deleted my old content to not confuse downloaders, I'm not sure what you may have in mind. :)

It's of course entirely up to you, and I can understand it when a creator feels his old stuff is inadequate and prefers it to be removed. Then again, people have different tastes, and more options don't hurt. In this particular case, so much has changed that the new version is much more than just a more up-to-date revision of the old one. It's an entirely new BAT, so different that it might be from a different creator! Therefore, I'd leave the old version and maybe add a little note to the description such as "A new and improved version of this BAT has been released, get it HERE".

    @ilikehotdogsalot: Thanks as always :)

@Aaron & T Wrecks: Thanks guys, I wouldn't remove my old BATs. They are my first works for the NYBT and Sim City4 , I wouldn't forget this :)

    And Here, the American International:

In the final version, the sidewalks will be removed.

As mentioned by someone on SC4D..those yellow roofs aren't doing it for me..to me it still feels to dirty and the texture/material seems too blury..compared to the crispness of the BoNY, it almost looks a little 'Gmaxy'..also not too sure about the glass/windows? It doesn't feel like it represents glass..

Maybe i'm just seeing things or being overly picky, or both as nobody else seems in agreeance :)

Are the yellow roof sections supposed to represent wooden decks?

Hi to all! Wow impressive pics of the BONY and American International!!! But Why Darknono, did you change the colors from American International lighter again? Because you can see in every Photo of this building that it is darker and the top is slightly lighter. That is also easier because the nightlights in the illuminated top go with that lighter part. Just search for the building on google images and you'll see what i mean.

Anyway, the glass on top is a little too dark; I mean the black with blue things, the new ones you added.

Anyway, its a great job you've done so that has to be said!!!

But i hope my comments are helpful my friend!!!

I do agree with Amsterdam1979, and I do think the textures are to dirty. :D The darker areas of the building is brick so I think you need to work on that. I want you to put your best on the textures.

I think many agree the textures are still unready. Your building is still a par-baked pie.

Whilst yes, it looks darker..I'd ask for you to show some pics from more of a birds eye view on a neutral day. The angle you look at a buildings will always effect the brightness of its materials.

There definately needs to be more of a distinction between the building and the crown as there should be a big difference in colour.

    Hi Darknono,

I know what Gutterclub is talking about, the only thing is that a lot of new pictures from the american international building are taken with a digital camera. They use RAW images which later, on your computer, you can tweak with the colors. I visited the building myself about 9 times and i know they cleaned the building up a little bit when they converted it from commercial building to residential building. But still it is brown stone with lighter stone. For the exact building you need to look at old photo's from the building, until like, the 80,s. Me myself i love this building the most out of all in NYC!

But to help you out, i think you need to make the building looks a little less dirty and stick with more of the solid colors. Man, i wished you lived in my street so i could show you all my pics of this building to help you out!!! I could never make a BAT like you do, so my congrats go to you for making this magnificent BAT!!!!

Anyway i would love to help you out with whatever the problem might be!! A couple more pics:

OK, some (maybe final?) shots of the AI building, 70 pine street.Hope they will help once more. The night colors are from when it was a commercial building. They use the other lighting, as shown above, since it is residential. Anyway, let the pictures speak and let that BAT rock!

Thanks guys for your advices and for a lot of awesome pictures of South Manhattan :). I'm working on the new colors of the AIG Building. Maybe I've badly interpreted the diferent views of the building. In my mind, the American International was very dirty by weather and time ... sorry :P

Here a night view of the bank of New York:

And, sorry guys for the slow advancement in my work, I'm a few busy at this time :( .
