Sherman Square Apartments

 

Here's a small update on the Sherman Square Apartments, I worked on the ground floor a bit, next I may work on the rails for the balconies and maybe some round floor details.

Wow, those two mice would be button overkill for me. I have an old multi-button logitech (2 side-mounted thumb buttons, 2 top buttons + scroll wheel with push function), and I hardly ever made good use of all these keys, either. But of course, that's just me.

 

And I think we have pretty much exhausted the SimCity-related puns with Aaron's name. Pity! There are some real-life things I can think of, however. I'd love to refer to his significant other as the "Aaron maiden", for example.

 

Ok, enough with the bad puns - the clay model of Sherman Square Pants Apts once again looks mouth-watering! We've seen many commercial skyscrapers and residential mid-rise buildings, so it's a welcome change to see some high-rise residential as well! Can't wait to see this sucker textured.

I have a logitech with a bunch of buttons, and other than the normal ones, the only ones I use is one of the thumb ones which, in the browser, will google search whatever text I have highlighted. 

 

But logitech has very good customer service. If anything is ever wrong with your mouse, even after the warranty ends, they're very generous with their replacement policy. 

 

I'm always skeptical about "gaming" hardware because to me it seems like you're just paying extra for a bunch of glowing neon and pointy plastic but that's just me.

915 West End Avneue

 

The is an render of my old building NYBT 915 West End Avenue, I wanted to update it for a long time. I wanted to add a little bit of details to the apartment, I want to make a better model of the parapet caps and make the pipes for the water tower, and also work on the bricks to the back of the building.

Do you like the bricks on version 1 or 2?

Here's a small of date to my Bronx apartment, it's al most finished, ust have to work on the two signs and may be a little more details of the building and I can add the variations, and then to another or a new building for STEX.

Looking great Aaron, I would choose number 1 as it is slightly darker/more grunge.

I feel bad that I can't really tell them apart but #1 looks to have a slightly warmer tone so I will go with that one.

I love the first brick type better the darken bricks are not to strong. More people have choose the first brick type, there is a little different in the bricks. If you have Photoshop you could layer the building on type of each other and flick the eye button to see the difference.

Thank you for all the names guys, here's a small up date on the building, I need to add new shops for the last two versions of the building. Then work on the rearranging the night light and ac units. I have choose the four shops from you guys for the second variation, the names are from the left side of the building to the right are Great Wall Chinese, Frutas y Verduras Rita, Jack Wild's petshop and Ray's Pizza
