    Damn your right, I need to find a way to make it harder to see it. :O

    Okay, right now I'm exporting the box I hope it does not take long. If I can't get rid of the shadow, then I need to find a way to make it hard to see to the for the downloaders.

    it will not work, because there steps in that area. For the 1225 Morris, I notice the fence is right up against the LOD and that's way it seems to work. That does not make sense the front of the building is also close to the LOD as well, well I do not know what to say.

    I have no experience with the BAT, but how difficult would it be to just chop off the part that goes underground?  I understand the walkway goes down a level, but I wonder if you could texture it to make an illusion?  Just ignore me if that sounds crazy... like I said, I have z-e-r-0 experience with any 3-D modeling. :P

    I have not chop really off the bottom part of the building and not sure how I could make it work.

    You could try turning the underground part into a foundation. Come to think of it, Maxis may very well have developed the concept of foundations to cover this kind of problems.

     

    SimCoug's suggestion is also possible - AFAIR, marrast's famous avenue underpasses were perfectly flat models with the tunnel painted on.

    The problem is because part of your render is being cut off by the LOD.  You did this intentionally to hide the underground part, but when you do this it will always cause this problem.

     

    The better way of making underground areas is to use a matte/shadow/reflection material type.  You can use this to cover up the underground parts of the BAT.  This way, instead of hiding the undesirable parts of the render outside the LOD, you can make it so the undesirable parts just aren't visible in the render.  I have a tutorial about it in my thread.  :)

    Jasoncw I have hide the part that goes underground, the part that does not need to be seen.

     

    Most of the buildings I have made have objects below the ground. I'm going to redownload all my buildings I have listed below for any shadow problems, but remember guys, I have a history of LOD problems. That's is what made me a strong batter. :D

    Okay, if you where to put the shadows on medium they will not show up, I do have the game in window mode and it could just be the game, I wanted other people to show me a picture in there game if they can see the shadows, I have posted pictures of my building before and some do not show shadows. I have to say this is driving me.  :boggle:

    So it must be the game, is your Shadow settings are on high settings? :)

     

    And another thing guys, I'm now having internet connection problems, why the bad luck on this building. :(

    Thank you guys for all your help. The shadow does not show up so looks like I won this battle and not the shadows. I end up asking Cogeo how to control the export ids by using the same models ids so I do not have to export and new model number and have to end up going in the reader and changing the ids for each model in each desc file. So that's something new I know. :D

    Here’s the Townsley also known as 245 E. 35th Street is Located in Manhattan, New York City in the neighborhood called Murray Hill. This fifteen story  modernism apartment was finished in 1964, the architect is Bien, Robert L. There are four bats/ Building models and is a New York City Tile Set, each one has different brick color and each model has two wealth types R$$ and R$$$. This building is a (W2W) wall to wall non-corner building and will fit perfectly in the middle of your city block. Townsley is a wonderful apartment for your Sims. Enjoy the upload!!



    Please Download Maxis Nite or Dark nite, if you download both please install the nite verion you use for your cities at night. If you install both and using the default path settings that's appled in the installer the installed model file will replace the model file that's in the plugins folder.
