is that interchange possible in the game? there's no way there's an underground intersection in that tunnel.

Nice one Blue! (is there a tunnel mod that allows you to put two by too (tunnels together) or is that just part of the BRF mod (I think)?)

RoflYoshi: loled

I wanted my interchange to be as smooth as possible. So I made this:

From RHW pics

Because my road is smooth:

and I like curves and natural stuff: EDIT sorry about the Grid. It was a work-in-progress pic

I have a few new interchanges from my latest Patrician Showcase update. They are simple, but sometimes simplicity is best.

First up, a partial diamond:

7-69.jpg

Second, a standalone ramp with an elevated rail interchange. As someone in the original thread said years ago, who says that interchanges have to be roads? They can also be made with "tons of commuter rail":

9-39.jpg

Third, a bizarre mutation of the partial-Y interchange, servicing two avenues that link up to the west:

11-22.jpg

And fourth, a non-mutated partial-Y:

I like the scale of that cloverleaf a lot. That's probably about the size a real, full-speed interchange would be.

That looks like a Windmill, with some very interesting (and innovative) priorities to save space.

That 'mutated y' isn't too bizzare at all if I am honest. You'll find something very similar on the M12 / M1 Junction in Northern Ireland. Functionally, what you have there is exaclty the same as a Diamond (because the slips all stop at a stop light on a perpendicular road).

I love the attention to detail with the NWM on your diamond too.

I like the videoness of this. If I may though, your slopes are far too steep - almost all motorways/freeways have very gentle gradients.

Asteconn has made some RHW tutorials on YouTube. All of them are fully functional. *This includes roundabout interchanges*

Here's a couple I recently made.

First up, a simple diamond interchange:

And next, a folded diamond with industry occupying the inside:

I like how you have the Euro textures mod. It goes great with this highway mod.

The shots show the reworked version of my video.(scroll up to the 1st Aldini10, NOT Aldini! The link is there.)

The Euro textures for the RHW is nice indeed; although personally I've taken a leaf from the Irish and got both yellow and white markings on my roads.

Not a problem at all =] I'm getting familiar with all of the new RHW4 stuff right now infact.
The way to get a nice smooth slope is to use a very shallow gradiented network (like Rail or Maxis Highway in the BRF mod - see the link in my signature for it) and drag that out first, and then lay RHW over your nice new slope

I have indeed. Roundabout interchanges are the ones that I use most often infact, because of their good capacity. See the link in my signature for the tutorials.

Very cool. I am liking the attention to detail a lot. If you're after an RHW 8-lane wide overpass, consider putting the road in a tunnel and drawing the RHW over the top.

I like these simple interchanges. It's a shame that the inside of the diamond is interupted for the industrial traffic; although I suspect that, given it's a diamond interchange you don't see the traffic levels being too great?

i did see asteconn's tutorial..because i thought elevated roundabout interchanges were impossible but i did eventually make one. i might just go ahead and post it without any development around it.

Maybe I'm a little late posting a Maxis highway onramp here, but oh well;  I thought this was kind of interesting.  Since there is no single-sided parallel ramp for avenue in the NAM, I decided to invert the lanes and then use one-way road:

You mean my shot? If you do, they're the modified one-way roads included in the Network Widening Mod. Or are you talking about the other interchanges? In which case, those "roads" are Real Highway Mod. Both of these can be found on the BSC LEX. You have to register (separately from the SC4Devotion forums) on the LEX to download them. Or if you mean the roads in Dannibee and ImVhOzzi's pictures, they're Euro Road Mod. I'm not sure where to find that, so just search around for it.
