Does look rather large, but it's great work.

Not the most practical one, but it looks nice!

A few more before and afters with the highway widening upgrade. This also includes a new partial Y interchange that simply wasn't possible when I first built the highway. A curved elevated to ground transition diagonal had yet to exist, not to mention the diagonal connection pieces.

Wow. So the highway coming from the left splits, after all of that complex interchange, into… three different routes? What a mess (and I mean this in the best way possible).

Evolution of the first interchange in my new city of Eddington.

I've been working on a new airport for a bit now and obviously I need to connect it with my transportation networks. I think I've got the ones around the terminals done in their raw form anyway.

You can see it here in the region. Still need another highway link to the rest of the network then I'm all set highway-wise anyway. Still lots of railwork/transit to do.

It's been pretty quiet here but I've been chugging along making interchanges to and around that airport area posted above.

I've been posting updates in the Show Us What You're Working On thread- I tend to show more polished works here but here's something to fill the void I guess? Updates from the last post and new ones.

    -----

A new airport access highway has been built and cuts 90 degrees here- made a unique interchange design at the bend

    L6p0zdV.png

    UHmyDF4.png

    ----

Next tile over, another curve, another unique interchange

    ubEwx3o.png

    VWYKh5h.png

    -----

That diverging diamond design is done, with a few extra ramps to service the surrounding industrial area

    G8swI5f.png

    9DeNc5m.png

    -----

To get to one of the terminals, you have to navigate this almost full freeway to freeway creation

    Z8OO5KU.png

    CGpAd5X.png

    -----

And that N/S road does extend as a freeway a bit, giving you this quickchange.

    UOFp5D7.png

    24MmEDx.png

    -----

Over at one of the other terminals, this 3 way and associated folded diamond is ready for action

    FDhH8ps.png

    THNqmvV.png

    xqZs1Fo.png

    -----

If you look closely I made a kinda mini junction to access the control tower. A Do Not Enter sign placed to help tell regular drivers to ignore the connection.

    0DgnWKj.png

    -----

And a 'halferchange' was built to the north to provide some additional connections.

    3UlGbrE.png

    -----

Next up, the big stack with the airport access highway

    fn9DWI3.png

    J2Zy7Sc.png

    -----

To the south, a large folded diamond to access another terminal

    F9N63b1.png

    -----

And to the south of that, a split diamond to help access the cargo hub

    pQn4kMP.png

    x54bAP9.png

    -----

    Some other miscellaneous images.

Further away I had to rework some highway approaches to build a new BTM (bullet train line) to service the airport.

    SeacbR0.png

    aFqjKmn.png

    nptex9a.png

    xb3Ahcz.png

The airport access highway will run north and will require upgrading this to a full freeway-freeway interchange. Some initial work has begun.

    4CRxaUh.png

And here's a region view to put everything in context. Still lots to be done, but a ton has already been accomplished.

@b22rian wanted me to share some pics of how I build an interchange from start to finish, so here are some progress images for those interested.

Yes this is the same location. Almost undetectable. The crown jewel of my recent highway build projects.

Sure you could argue that the huge stack interchange a couple posts up is more impressive, but this junction was far more challenging as it was a massive retrofit, vs the Stack which was a new build.
