Dubai City Tower - a possible future vertical beauty! It would be the tallest, and one of the most beautiful towers on STEX!

The Dubai City Tower, also known as the Dubai Vertical City, is a proposed supertall skyscraper design announced on 25 August 2008. The design has 400 floors with a 200 km/h (125 mph) vertical bullet train acting as the main elevator. The design is inspired by the Eiffel Tower to better deal with the massive wind forces pushing on it. It has a central core with 6 outer buildings that are connected to the central core every 100 floors. This design both stabilizes the structure and spreads out its mass.

Why is it beneficial to the community at Simtropolis?

It sets new standards and literally heights to the community, inspired by this beautiful tower, other designers and builders can create more marvels. It also provides a nice centrepiece to cities, and I know many people who would like a very tall tower in their city and would provide many jobs and residential opportunities for their cities.

Why this would be beneficial for the game or community:

It would give your SimCitizens some place else to shop other than Wal-Mart, Target or Kmart. It would also be a great addition to a SimCity 4 re-creation of the cities of Green Bay, Madison or Omaha.

I would like to request some overhead wires to be made, with or w/o wires, but I am more concerned on the powerlines. Lets face it the rails are unrealistic and yes there are few bat models. But for eyecandy it would be cool if anyone could make powerlines over rail like these. \/

^ The towers above the rail that deliver the high voltage would be very nice to have for my cities I make.

Why these would be proeffient for the community?

These would be great because in the USA mainly eastern, these are on a lot of railroads and are missing in the game, and add eye candy for the game. And plus it adds variety in railroads.

Theres really nothing to find on the overhead powerlines but the Northeast Corridor could be key since mainly those railroads have them in it.

That would not work. you could have it but it would not work on any rail with a slope to it (on a hill) due to how it would be added

An Idea for people with Futuristic Cities, I was thinking that maybe the Helicopters could be replaced by spinners from blade-runner and an object created to create a mass of them like the Euro Traffic Generator. I am not a Modder, this is a bit of a request for Automata creators.

Susan Geisler's most famous statue. A colored bronze life-size statue of an old, skinny man holding a bucket of potatos and a walking cane.

Given the real-life size of this statue, I feel that a size and lot similar to the 1x1 original mayor's statue would be appropriate.

Why this would be beneficial for the game or community:

My interest in the in-game fruition of this statue shall remain a mystery, but I assure you my motives are far from explotive. This is a charming statue, and something of an in-joke, and I feel it would add a great deal of character to my cities. I would be happy to provide custom quries, custom thumbnails, or any other graphics for this project.

Are you sure? The regular mayor's statue seems to have enough fidelity to be useful. One could always make the statue larger...

The Bullring

The Bullring is Birmgham's (UK) foremost shopping centre. In the heart of the city, opposite New Street train station (seen top of the image), it's striking architecture is immediately recognisable to the Briton. The snakeskin inspired façade belongs to Selfridges, the department store and it is this part of the complex that is often used to represent the development. The layout of the centre is interesting in it's multiple layers and unusual shape.

I'm requesting a ploppable RCI lot as well as a Landmark building of the entire Bullring complex (that's from the Selfridges façade over the the edge next to the Rotunda, including the courtyard in the middle). If it's all possible to miss out the church then please do.

I think this is worthy of BATing because the Bull Ring is both an enormously significant landmark in Birmigham, being England's second city. It's also a fantastic example of interesting architecture and regenerations of stagnant city centres.

it is a picture of a small modern train station however i would like a 3 by 1 station to go with the nams elevated rail above road network also if psossibleto have a subway station aswell however it must must stay 3 by 1 tiles so that when plopping i dont have to destroy things around it. if possible i would like it to come in several differant styles a very new and modern look like the station for modern euro citys a run down dirty metal and concrete station to go with dingy dark citys and somthing in between

this would be benificial because it would be a small compact station that would work on dual networking with out having to buldose your city or stop the dual networking and it would also ease up traffic lots and lots. also if you had a subway station as well it would provide triple networking on the same roa whic would be ultimately benificial tto traffic.

Here are some pictures of buildings form Swansea in Wales i chose these because they are Revonating all the old docks and there are some nice buildings there.

And because i can't use the BAT so i thought some of you could have a go at it.

Here is the first building it is called Meridian tower and has 29 stories all apartments (the tower is the same on both sides).

Here is a very old tower that was built before i was born.

Here are some various buildings they have built in the SA1 development (or are going to build).

I think that the stex could be much better if there were lots of buildings in the UK on it especially apartments and offices asfor lots of cities are renovating their waterfronts and lots of interesting buildings are popping up. maybe some of the more experienced batters could do this
