AVAZ Twist Tower is located in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina. Its 172m high, and was finished in 2008. This also the tallest building in Balkan. It is the headquartes for the popular Bosnian newspaper company AVAZ.

Why this would be beneficial for the game or community:

I havent seen one BAT-building from Bosnia here at Simtropolis, and it would be great if there was one. As most people know, Bosnia is a country in development after the war in the 90's, and I think that this building would give some popularity to Bosnia here at simtropolis. And I also think  the building looks very cool and modern, especially at night.

Description:

Built in 1934 to replace Convention Hall, Municipal Auditorium is renowned for it's beatiful art deco architecture and has hosted many major events, including more NCAA Men's Final Fours than any other venue, as well as being home of the Kansas City (now Sacremento) Kings NBA team, and the home of the NAIA basketball championship and UMKC Kangaroos since 1935. The building has 3 halls, an arena holding around 10,000 people (7,000 without temporary seats), the Music Hall holding 2,400, and the little theatre seating 600. The building was renovated in 2007, and is fairly well maintained, especially considering some other Kansas City venues, although it does show some of the wear of 77 years of use.

Why this would be beneficial for the game or community:

Your sims can experience a true old time college basketball experience, walking in under beautful art-deco ornaments into a marble floored lobby with stunning decorations. It would serve small to medium sized city well, working wonderful for Indoor College sports and minor professional league sports, as well as hosting concerts and plays. This building could be featured in american cities that have their roots in the early 20th century, and wll fit in well with early 20th century skyscrapers like in Chicago or Detroit, or it's home Kansas City. If you like art deco, this building is a must have. This building was rated one of the 10 best buildings built in 1934, and  one of the 500 most important architectural works in the United States.

 This is a comparatively easy request:

Could a friendly member please create an local Australian Rules Football ground? The Footy oval is a staple of West/South/South-East Australian suburbia, and is just as common in Melbourne and Adelaide as soccer pitches in England or football pitches in the US. Suburban grounds generally don't have stands (ie. bleachers) and are generally used as cricket pitches in the summer  too (hence the pitch in the middle of the grounds!) Pictures for examples!

I don't have a good picture from the top as it's summer and all the markings are off the ground for about three months, unfortunately.

Having this would make my day .

you must be from Melbourne or Perth because I don't recognise that city. Have you seen this one: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=14899, it's the only local footy ground that I'm aware of, I intend one day to make a stripped back version of this myself.

I've seen that, and while it's ok (the water restrictions have ensured no ground is that green!), it's missing the worn down cricket pitch that 'makes' the ground, and the lines/posts look cartoonish.

Although I do quite like the scale (width x length) of that ground, even if it is a tad too big relative to the game.

Description:

This tower is an architectual masterpiece includes 6 story rotunda at the base of a 900 ft tower rising into the Oklahoma sky. The community would love to have this edifice scraping the skies of their cities with her grace.

I cant find any good pictures... but can anyone make this kind of Tim Hortons...

This type of building style... but some of the new Safeway stores have the beige textures like the Tim Hortons (above)

For anyone that has seen Safeway stores, they have the Pharmacy logo and Starbucks logo on the front, if those can be added that would be cool, also maybe a Safeway sign on the parking lot by the road...

Why this would be beneficial for the game or community:

I think the police car skin would be good for anyone that lives in and around Kitchener Ontario

and the Tim Hortons and Safeway would look nice and are now aday buildings...(dunno how to say it)

Why should these be made?

GM Place would be the first ever STEX in Simtropolis based on a real hockey stadium! During Vancouver Canucks Games, GM Place can hold up to over 18,000 hockey mad fans. During most concerts, it can hold about 19000 people.  GM Place called Hockey Canada Place during the games, held most men's and women's hockey games during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

BC Place can be made with or without it's inflatable roof. This huge stadium can hold about 65000 people I believe.         BC Place held the Opening Ceremonies andthe closing ceremonies of the 2010 Games. BC Place has already been made, but I think people will want a more realistic model. Sorry ryan04, not good enough man.

Richmond Olympic Oval held all long track speed skating during the games. The newest recreational area in the Vancouver area, it was finished in December 12th 2009 and cost $178 million Canadian.

The one I want most is GM Place.

These would also be a great way to commemorate the 21 Winter Olympiad in Vancouver and the city itself.

Why this would be beneficial:

At the moment there are a grand total of three buildings from Singapore in all of the STEX, which is quite sad considering the architecture Singapore has to offer. There are also not many cultural centers, especially Asian ones, available and as this is one of the newest and iconic concert halls around, it would make a good addition to any city.

awright, it'd time ive requested my home town's (technicly i was born in kaiser, which is in Sacramento) downtown buildings:

this is the tallest building in sac-town. it's called the wells fargo center.

this is the U.S. bank tower, and it's the scond tallest in sacramento.

this is the bank of the west building, the third tallest in sacramento. it's also known as 500 capitol mall.

just a note: it woud be great if you could transit enable it, since it has an under ground parking garage.

this is the U.S. bank plaza (sacramento has lots of banks!) it is the fourth tallest building in sacramento.

The rennisance tower is the 5 th largest tower in sacramento. it is also clled the "darth vader" tower by locals.

this is the califonia/EPA building, it's the sixth tallest building in SAC-town

this is the capitol square. it's the 7th tallest building in sacramento.

this is the U.S. fedral courthouse and building; the eighth tallest.

the Esquire plaza, the ninth tallest.

this is the Sheraton grand sacramento. it's the tenth tallest.

the block in sacramento that has the 1201k tower, or the one that has a 3-4ths circle edge. i don't know the rank of it as tallest to shortest.

the ziggurat, which is on the opposite side of the sacramento river.

this is the capitol (obviously) of california.

west america bank building, by I-5. actually, it's right NEXT to it !

and then there's the- (get ready)- CAPITOL GRAND TOWER!! it's will be 965 feet to it's spire and 771 feet to the roof. it's only a proposed residential building, unfortunately.

It would make a stunning civic space or landmark to go with various other Olympic BATs, plus there's no really good Olympic cauldrons yet. Of all the Vancouver 2010 items that could go into SimCity, I think the cauldron is the most unique, most impressive, and most recognizable.

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (Gainesville, FL)

 

Description:

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is the home football stadium for the Florida Gators football team. The stadium is on campus in Gainesville, FL. It holds around 90,000 and is know for its orange walls on each four corners inside the stadium. Each wall reads something different such as "Home of the Florida Gators" and "Welcome to the Swamp" The stadium should be a pretty big lot. The field is correct in main image above in the post and the first image below.

It would definately be great for all the diehard UF fans who play Simcity 4 like myself. And it would add a new huge unique stadium to the currently dull list of American football stadiums that currently are in the STEX.
