I have two requests.

The first one is a proximity station for GLR, since I need one for a small project I have going in one of my cities and I haven't been able to find any. Nearly all GLR rail stations are run-through, and there's a couple with overhangs. But I need something like the Ninja Kiosk here, or really like the Maxis train station, but for GLR. I really like the Kiosk here, too, because it has stairs going downstairs and I'm going for a cut-and-cover subway line – but any GLR station that works by putting it next to a line will work… or it won't. We'll see.

Kiosk.jpg.9caee48e61e416b40b141f388530c557.jpg

The second request is, well, anything by or in the style of the late Clorindo Testa. I particularly like the Banco de Londres y América del Sur, pictured here below. Testa also designed the National Library here in Buenos Aires, which is a… very polarizing building, let's just say that. I love it, but I did a quick search to see if someone else had mentioned it and it was in a topic about the ugliest buildings (!). How dare you.

For the first one you need a FLUP-compatible station, which currently doesn't exist publicly, but the RTMT team is developing the technical elements for a pack of it, which should be included on RTMT 4. In the meantime, your best option is to use a Tram In Avenue-Subway connection to go under the avenue (which also allows for much more flexible network building than FLUP pieces), and use usual subway stations.

About Testa's buildings, I can only second the request, as they are both exquisite examples of South American brutalism, but with the caveat that the inverted pyramid shape of many of them works poorly with the axonometric perspective of the game. See, for example, Mattb325's Geisel Library:

Here's another BAT that someone might find more interesting to do: the Palacio de Aguas, also here in Buenos Aires.

See, it's a very beautiful eclectic-style building, and it's always good to have more of these buildings, if only for the eye-candy effect. But what's actually interesting about the PdA is that's it's actually a water tank. On the inside, it's just tanks, pipes, and a WC museum (no, seriously). So ingame, it should be a water building, like so many water towers that we currently have in the Exchange (or a museum, if you're so inclined).

And believe it or not, this is not even the only water tank disguised as an ornamental building in Buenos Aires. There's at least three of these at different spots in the city. But this one's the prettiest.

For something a little bit different: Ducks!

Rubber Duck is a series of floating sculptures by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman. Since 2007 these ducks have been on display in various harbor cities across the world.

I would like to request distribution centers for Fedex, UPS, and Walmart, as well as a Social Security office. No one has made these yet, and several other users want them. Also, a realistic USPS Post Office for big cities would be nice.

Perhaps @IDS2 could be persuaded to model the Minneapolis post office :image.jpeg.34274cdda4f006f4417aac02c83678dd.jpeg

Or perhaps the Paul D Wellstone federal building, a former post office that currently hosts the passport agency.  It would make a nice social security office:

Wow. What a nice looking building. Most Social Security buildings that I've seen are made of brick. This is what the one near me looks like:

Our main Social Security building would be more of a job for @madhatter106:

While our main Postal Service office looks like a @debussyman project:

image.jpeg

Their local offices, though, aren't even purpose-built, just rented space in some random building, which is super boring.

Now, about what's currently available, you might be interested on this Polish Social Security office by szymcar:

Everyone remembers the big, sprawling movie studios of Hollywood yesteryear, MGM, Universal and 20th Century Fox, but what about those small champions of grindhouse and the forgotten double bill-

Cinecitta, from gladiator epics to art-house and spaghetti westerns

Hammer(Bray Studios), masters of horror with mainstays like Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Ingrid Pitt

American International Pictures, from gangster, horror, sci-fi and crime with stars as diverse as Jack Nicholson and Vincent Price.

Estudios Churubusco, one of Mexico's oldest with Mariachi to masked wrestlers fighting Aztec mummies.

I know I've been posting a lot in this thread lately, and I apologize if I'm bothering anyone. However, I have another request. Could someone kindly make some funeral homes? Apparently, the game designers wanted to create these, but they were dropped along with other critical public services since they needed to finish the game quickly.

I really don’t mind at all about you  posting here.  In fact, I really enjoy the ideas here.  I wish there were more posts, honestly.

Really? Why do I feel like nearly no one here likes me? Every time I post a question, I cringe. Last night, I was convinced that I would wake up today to discover that my account had been suspended.

i think much of how we feel is related to translations and how we read things into the sentences.

let me try this. take this statement" it's raining."  to a farmer that would b good. to someone where it has rained for a week, not so much. @ 5 pm in FL, it's a yawn- who cares cause it does that every day. the same sentence to someone with a hurricane coming means hurry the hell up and get home before the storm.

same sentence can mean many things depending on the person's own perspective. same applies to the internet. and it gets more compounded when we deal with soo many nations like in game sites. 1 word can b translated to many meanings sometimes by google itself. there was a discussion i saw long ago bout berries. even a cranberry is different depending on where you are. what people visualize just by 1 word is quite different. not just the fruit but the plant, the way it grows, the climate or terrain around it,etc.

it is human nature, but we must try not to add or read emotions into posts.  much is mis-interpreted off the net.

I don't know if this is the thread to ask this but I was wondering if there is a mod that blocks all limousines. I don't like to see limousines in the poor neighbourhoods of my city all the time. I don't know why they appear but it looks really strange.

You may have a lot in your city that spawns them. Something upscale, maybe.

The visible part of this building is very small, probably not much bigger than a subway entrance, and wouldn't require custom LODs or overhangings

I have a BAT request, and its fairly simple, but im not good at using models. I'm wanting plopable 69kv power poles for eye candy. No lines/ wires (sloping and such). Just to add more realism to my cities, as i use the Maxis power poles with PEG's texture mod as my 138/161/240kv systems, and wanting a sub transmission system to supplement. Looking for 4 types, I'll paste the pics below. 0 and 45 degrees. And, 0-45 degree, and 0-90 degree transition. Thanks in advance!

I agree on the custom LOD question, but I think it would work better as a overhanging building, just like this

I think this would make it easier to fit better in different slopes and hills
