Daggummit! Had I known we were gonna change layout, I would've taken screenshots of the old one just for kicks. Oh well.

As for the new layout, it is quite bright as some already said. I'll definitely have trouble viewing this site with a migraine, but, other than that, the overall appearance looks fresh, neat, and clean.

On another note, has the page flip bug been eradicated?

so i made a new one, i think this font is clearer and fits better with the image next to it.... if Dirk likes the idea i do have the PNG stlogo.png saved separately....

anyway what do you guys think of A) the existing banner and B) my banner...

This is an ENORMOUS drawback if it's not a bug...

trying to do updates in the CJ forum by clicking on a button and copying an url

each and every time is simply not productive

I like the fact that although the aesthetics have changed, the general layout has not, so I don't have to look around to find things to use this site's basic functions. Updating my avatar to the Queen's Lyre was still an easy task.

I also see you can now insert Flashes and Youtube videos into replies via buttons, and there's actually a button specifically for Imageshack uploads

Well, it's a spiffy new look, certainly, but it's not an overwhelming upheaval of things like the transition to 5.0 was...

...although, there is some new stuff which looks interesting. Flash and YouTube embedders, for one. The direct clickthrough to ImageShack I'd question the usefulness of (I always just open it up in another tab), though I suppose some might like it.

Oh, and something which might not have all that much use but is nevertheless awesome: the Source button. Click it and kaboom! Your rich text explodes out into its full html glory.
