  1. Feedback! Lin X: Thanks! I'm a big fan of colorful cities; so I try to brighten it up to bring out more detail. I didn't want Irondequoit to have a total "suburban" feel to it so the overpass I hope urban's it up a little bit. 89James89: This update will have a couple pics on Plymouths CBD so check it out 47ply: Thanks!! iviaarten: I want to do a story; I'm just starting out so right now its just trial and error. Because its two cities; I feel as though its going to get a little confusing so I'm debating on what I'm going to do...Not sure yet; The advisors will stay though! 2 City strategy may not...We'll see I suppose! Update 2: Life of Plymouth
  2. @89James89: Thanks Man! Keep following and send some critiques and what you'd like to see Update One: A Introduction by a few big names in the region. Hello Simmers. Welcome back to the region of Chrysler and Plymouth. This update we are going to focus more on Chrysler and less on Plymouth but we'll sneak them in there at the end! Its going to be a small update but it will give you an introduction to some big names in the region. More people and petitioners will be introduced in later updates but for now, Lets meet a few!
  3. I love it! The customized Map brings more realism to the game and the neighborhood (or should I say Little Hamlet ) wraps around the river perfectly giving it a "just starting out" feel. Looking forward to more updates and hopefully blacktop! Lol Sincerely, Trevor!

  5. You're computer/laptop probably keeps rebooting to the Integrated Graphics Chip (aka Intel HD4000/5000 whatever). I have a Dell Inspiron 15R SE which has an i7 and a Radeon HD 7730m and the game runs great on the laptop. Double check by going to the start menu and click "Switchable Graphics", once there click browse then select "Simcity" application and select "High Performance" then click accept. Then start the game, the Game should run with the Dedicated Graphics (aka you're 7970).
  6. Show off your cities! (Screen Shots)

masochist: that's awesome, setting that as my wallpaper , its so realistic
  7. Simguy's Google Sketchup Showcase

Hey, Simguy if you got all that stuff from the 3D warehouse, your going to have to ask the people that made them to be able to use the models if you want to upload them for the community, not trying to sound mean but its how it goes
  8. Post your picture here II

here i am, just posing acting goody goody
  9. Speak in Song Titles

"Finally" now "Lets get this party Started"
  10. Why did you choose your username?

I have no idea, back in 2006 i was looking for a name and SimsRealtor happened to be it (was SimsRealator) but SimsRealtor has stuck with me.

Crysis relies heavily on graphics processing power but can be run on a 5 year old processor. CXL uses MUCH more processing power due to calculations based on taxes rates, traffic flow, job markets, citizen satisfaction, trade management, etc. I'm running an i7 920 @ 4.2 GHz and this even gets bogged down. Like others have mentioned, however, this program is not multi-threaded, so it's essentially the same as running a single core at 4.2 GHz. STILL, this is quite a powerful processor with a lot of features and it still lags. To be honest, I wouldn't even touch this game with anything less than a Core 2 Quad QX 8000 series proc. My Specs: Core i7 920 @ 4.2GHz (64% OC, 24/7 stable) 6GB Mushkin DDR3 1600 RAM EVGA GeForce GTX295 GPU (2x internal SLi) Some other crap that doesn't matter.quote> Trust me, crysis should be using much more CPU then CXL. Crysis has some crazy physics which are 100% CPU intensive (They do not, afaik, use nvidia physx). Yes, CXL is more CPU intensive as opposed to GPU intensive when compared to crysis, but crysis is levels ahead of CXL in terms of graphics and physics. The issue with the game, and the reason you notice lag, along with everyone else, regardless of their computer, is inefficiencies in the coding, including a huge memory leak that makes the game unplayable after constant play for about 3+ hours (Need to restart the game or else its just horribly laggy). Once this game is optimized after many patches (Might take even a year to get there), the game will probably run on most processors, and definitely on C2Ds (Which it currently can run on anyway). The only processors I would say would be not great for this game, which relates to the OP are P4s and anything earlier then that generation. The AMD counterparts shouldn't have issues, but P4s are complete crap. Nothing better to describe pentium 4's other then CRAP. But... if you have an AMD single core or any dual core that is decently clocked (2.4+) you really shouldn't have issues. If this game ever becomes multithreaded, lower clocked dual/quad processors will also have no issues. quote> well if you say any single core or dual core thats 2.4 or above, mine is 2.8ghz, For me my Pentium IV has been really great, i just noticed some lag in CXL while i dont get lag in COD4 or Crysis. But thanks for the Memory Leak info, ill make sure to get the game since they will be updating it

Anyway, you should be able to run it on low settings at a low rez, but there are some issues with the code right now. I have an i7 920 @ 3.2 and a gtx 275 and get lag sometimes (Partly because the game doesn't use multiple cores, mainly due to bugs in the coding).quote> No, its at 1280x720 with AA off The picture may be of a higher resolution because i change it sometimes, but Textures is one High and the others like Water is on high detail, its really playable. Online makes it feel like your playing a xbox 360 quote> Lol @ 1280x720... AA off... And you realize its an insult to a PC game to say the graphics look like 360 graphics. PC graphics are far superior to xbox 360 graphics, and have been basically since the 360 came out. The 360 would die if it tried 1920x1080 with 16xAA/AF. Anyway.... you should be able to run CXL. quote> Well i just wanted to clarify it can do alot more than just 800x600, it runs 600x480 respectively, JK . But anyway, good, i hope they optimize it more and more through future updates Edit: it can do 1280x1024 too

  14. Hey i had the beta and it lagged a lil bit, alot in a high Density city. And i was wondering, right now i have a Pentium 4 @2.8Ghz and a Nvidia GeForce 9400GT (thru PCI) and was wondering if the game was optimized after the beta to help those single core processors, because The Sims 3 (lags sometimes) and Crysis (plays amazingly well) on my PC. Im looking forward to buying Cities: XL but I just would like to know.
