mightygoose, a retro picture of all the above will be shown once we do the actual update. That was just a teaser for now, but to give you at least a little pleasure....lol....here is Axis City 55 years ago from the same angle with the same canal, only from one view higher up. Enjoy!

i have a question, is the little blue house still in gloryville or did they move it, or tear it down, it would be a shame to tear it down.

Yes the little Blue house is still there and much protected by all the surrounding Hi-Risers. The comitee of Genesis' Historical Buildings Association is taking excellent care of this little house, which is the first home erected in Gloryville. Now more than 300 years old and having served as a museum for almost 100 years, the little house is closed for visitors since 22years. All was a matter of conserving it and by stopping the thousand of people wanting to see the inside of the little Blue House, it will make it only live longer. We will see it in all its splender, in the same spot. Btw , the MacVicar mansion is gone, it burnt down accidently some years ago and for awhile they wanted the blue house to go back to its original place, but it was cancelled because of its fragility to move again.

by now there should be enough technology to make a virtual tour of the house, where people can see the inside as if they where actualy in the house, but they wouldnt have to be in it, like a virtual reality.

You're right, Shadow_Assassin, Genesis is always changing, and that everytime I play with a city.

superchad, you just gave me an interesting idea. When we get to Gloryville, we'll see!.....2.gif

cowcorn, Yes ,Smuggler's Cliff has something to do with Smuggler's Notch. I was in Sutton (near Cowansville) last week, taking a look at my late mother's home that I rented to someone and the idea of the name came into my mind to name a city on Genesis as such, but the cliff came into mind when I saw the mountain in that city.

Btw, did you see how they have problems with the inondation this year in and near Cowansville? Geeeeez........almost as bad as New Orleans.

natedoggg and p1, thanks for dropping in

Of course I know where Sutton is that's like my winter playground! I've seen it on tv. The names in the region make very good SimCity names in general, I use the names of villages that got absorbed by mergers occasionnaly. It's always the same spot everytime there is an inondation: Boul des Veterans. The city should close it if they have the budget. There was a small dam project to prevent it but it was never built because some people disagreed. That's still far from anything like New Orleans but the fields are lost now.

Well, just 2 pages from 100.

I still like all of the cities, but Axis is the best.

And I am still amazed by your cities. It almost makes me forget that the end is near.

    Anyway, Keep it up Mrbisonm!

Well, I am back in Canada. Home sweet home.....lol. T'was kinda cold and wet in Europe and it is hot and beautiful here, 29C when I arrived in Dorval Airport yesterday. I even saw some snow in Germany last week.

sloppet, yes the 100th page ain't far now.
cowcorn, everything back to normal in the Sutton area now, passed by there yesterday coming from Montreal.
shivsood, hope you liked spending aaaaaaaaagggggeeeeeesssss on my CJ, hope you'll come back.
    Thanks for dropping in ThomasAH.
anubis89, spent some time creating the bridge, glad it got your attention.
kant01, come on by whenever you wish.
Fabiocb, the mines I liked creating, I live not far from the Thetford Mines in Quebec/Canada (search google)
    p1, why Axis?....lol

Since none of the cities got more than 5 votes so far, I will continue with the regular update later, unless one city's update is chosen within the next 4 days, when I will make the Axis Harbour Update.

Here's a little teaser of what's coming up. Genesis' first and biggest Harbour:

    Have a nice week

Cool!  I like what I see in this heavily edited image!  I'd vote again for a city, but that probably wouldn't be fair.  1.gif
