I wasn't expecting so many replies for this update, but thanks a lot everyone for dropping in and leaving a note.

Leech10, yah, I knew about the ferry, but when I saw it, the picture was already taken and I was out of game, so I didn't really bother to make another one, well kinda regret it now.
purpledaddy, I guess you will need a few weekends to get through this CJ.....lol ...Good Luck.
Battlecat, glad you liked the industrial area and lot combination, 'twas a lot of work.
mightygoose, sloppet, luker91,jasperdeman.nl, bat, Goin2Chicago, Diamond Dave66, Thanks so much for leaving a comment and I am glad you enjoy the Nexis pages/story and pictures.
hamsterTK, the Somy ship is a lot that can be plopped right into the sea/water. Once downloaded and placed properly into the pluginfolder, you will find it in the landmark menu.
Charles Rodulfo, I don't think that there will be a third generation of Nexis of Genesis, but then again, one is never sure of the futur, I might just get that crazy idea and continue the stories of Nexis. I know now that I will make an update here and there in this CJ, even once the final end has been done. I will surely continue playing in this region, that I have been doing so for the last two years anyways.

    Ok, Let's continue now............

Since the site was out again, I couldn't make the second half of the update the day after, and in the beginning of the week I was too darn busy with all the nice weather we're having finally, so here it is, the continuation of the last update

The End Part VIII.......................Part B: Syris

Here it is, part two of the Axis Harbour/Syris update. As I said before, both Axis Harbour and Syris belong to Axis City and this since almost 40 years now, when many neighbortowns joined the Cities of Nexis, Axis, Gloryville and New Sholes.
The Syris island consist of two islands, a bigger one that reaches into Axis Harbour and the smaller one once owned entirely by the Hawklyn Family. The bigger part of another island on the east on the picture below belongs to Iris, the last spot of ground before another region begins. The bigger Island of Syris is connected directly with Megantic/Oxalis, the Vacation City in the south, which makes it of easier access for the Axis City residents, which do not have to travel through Gloryville and White Sands to reach the mountain of Oxalis. In the planning, now for almost 10 years already, is a construction of a Highway directly from Axis City to Megantic/Oxalis, but for now talks are slow, because of the high cost of this project. Most of this highway is supposed to be underground in the City itself with a tunnel under the sea to reach the Syris Island and then travel above ground to Oxalis from there on. A project that will cost millions and might be financed by the Sirius Group, if Mr Timotheus and the comittee decides so one day.

    11Syris-View.jpg

The actual Mayor of the successful Capitol City, Mr Helick Hawklyn, a nephew of the famous Mr Adley Hawklyn from the Hawklyn Valley Farms, was born right here in one of the duplexes on the smaller Syris Island, where still some farmland is owned by the Hawklyn's, which can hardly be seen on the left and right side on the picture below.

    12Syris-Island.jpg

Considered as one of the many suburbs of Axis City, the Syris Islands are highly taxed municipalities. Still very greenish looking, it is a pleasure living here not far from the harbour and the Maincity. On the picture below and on the upper half, there is still some forests which soon will disappear under a Jim's Construction Company's Residential project. Here many new Mansions are supposed to be build in the next 5 to 6 years simply to please the Higher Society's demand.

    13Syris-suburbs.jpg

But even if this are is being invaded by people, still some farms will continue to exist as we see here below.

    14Syris-farms.jpg

And finally, here is a picture of when it all began, still wild and non-explored.

    15RetroSyris.jpg

I know it wasn't much, but don't forget this was supposed to be part of the last update, but because time was short with my slow connection, I had to make this part another time and when the site decided not to connect properly, it wasn't my falut. Hope you liked it and we will soon visit Axis City, the downtown city and the two bigger suburbs, Axis South and Hawklyn. Of course we will get another teaser of the Capitol City of Saphir during the waiting period....lol......just to keep you interested into the very last update of this series of Genesis. And also I have a nice surprise in store for you, the revelation region picture of Axis City and Gloryville with all their suburbs right after the Capitol Teaser.

    Have a nice week.

This area sure looks nice!  The farmland looks great, and that medium density city spread across the islands looks very cool.  Also, it's nice to see that retro picture, that's a very nice touch.

Here's another Teaser. (don't you love them?)

First reveilings of Todays Genesis' Maincity.
First with its Transportation map of the entire City.

    1newsaphirtransmap7is.jpg

    Did you know:
................... that New Saphir is the newest City on Genesis, younger than 45 years?
....................that the city's growth for the first 10 years of existance was doubling every year?
....................that it has more than 3.6 Million permanant residents today?
....................that it is the best organized City on Genesis in every way?
....................that it does not even have more than 20,000 industrial or manufacturing jobs?
....................that it is running out of space to build already?
....................that 60 % of the City is build on swampy and sandy terrain?
....................that it covers almost 7 counties?
and of course that the City is alive on all heights, above, on top and below ground. The only thing missing is an airport, but where could they build it?

Coming soon......New Saphir, the Jewelcity on Genesis.

A look at the extended downdown near the Central Park......

    2newsaphireteaser0oc.jpg

....and finally for the first time shown in Public, here is a full view of the City as it is today.

    3saphirreveiled1nz.jpg

    Enough teasers for now......lol
Have a nice week. We will be back later this week with a short sneak at Axis City.

    Hi there mrbisonm,

I just couldn't let that occasion pass without commenting.... 100 pages!

I know I didn't comment much, (once or twice perhaps), shame on me,  but please know that I've always admired your work and attention to details. In fact you'll find several of your LOTS in AVR.

I've always liked those small lots, not always spectacular, but rather the kind that sits there,  innocently, until someone says "hey what's that small thing!" I just love those!

So this post is not about last updates, but rather a praise for the dedication you've showed for the last two years of building something very unique and personal.

Sir I salute you, and I raise a glass of my finest single malt to your health!

    Cheers!  44.gif

May you continue for another 100 pages!

    Regards

    John - aka Darmok

hyped_up_boy,  you can bet on it that we'll see that beautiful home of yours in my CJ, I already started texturing and adding some things to it in gmax. Only thing though, I don't know when yet.....lol, kinda busy these days.

purpledaddy, page 26 you say? Not bad, you got a quarter done so far, good luck. I suppose by now you understand more of the story.

Charles Rodulfo, sloppet, Shadow_Assassin, thanks for dropping in on the 100th page.

Darmok, the Nexis Village Battery lot that you asked me for without needing a road connection, I will do in the beginning of next week and upload it to the STEX. Thank you for your encouragements and your nice speech.

Now, I went into the Ganoga Valley last night just to look around a bit and see if it is worthwhile making an update of that wilderness,( you know the valley that Clay Wallace once tamed and that still today is savage and wild), and I saw this (see picture below). Remember the last time we went into that deep wilderness with Mr Wallace, I think it was the county of Titan or Agony Bay, we saw a mass of birds just hovering over the cliffs. This time they were in Bigrock Pharaon, near the Naganik Wildlife Reserve, circling around the gigantic rock.

I still don't know why they do this massive ressembling once in awhile and surely some of Genesis' best scientists have not found out the true reason for this neither.

I think we might just have a closer look at the Ganoga Valley in more details right after Atlas City. The Valley consists of 10 townships, a vaste non-civilized area starting from Grand Falls to Barelake Sources, covering one third of the northern Genesis Region.

    Be back soon,

Love the updates, mrbisonm! I think Axis Harbour is one of my most favorite ports yet that I have seen in a CJ! So realistic - it really feels like it has a grimy, industrial atmosphere. And the contrast between it and Syris is so great - it looks like such a peaceful place to live.

    very nice updates!

Well, as promissed here is the teaser for the Axis City and Gloryville region. Might as well keep you busy while I write the Axis City Update, right?

    1GenesisIVAxis.jpg

Since a few years most of the neighboring towns have joined the Major Cities.

    To Gloryville now belong:
Bolton, Part of Atlas, Part of Three Towers, Oxalis/Megantic, Part of Axis South, Part of Round Lake Junction and Part of Tenzel Outlet.
    To Axis City now belong:
Axis Harbour, Syris, Iris, Part of Axis South, Hawklyn Valley and Part of Tenzel Outlet.
    To New Sholes now belong:
Part of Treeland, Part of Atlas, Fallow Canyon and Part of Red Poll.
    To Grand Dam now belong:
Part of Lichen and Part of Birdsview and in discussion is the rest of the part of Hawklyn Valley that is still independant.

Here on this picture you see the townships and what they were called before the merging.

    2GenesisIVAxisSmall.jpg

It is kinda hard now to find more building spaces in this area without breaking up some things, unless I will be going into the mountains. The CJ Nexis of Genesis is soon 2 years old (end of june 2006) and I have been playing it ever since, sometimes intensively and sometimes not so much, but this is the only region that I have always come back to at least once a week. When Nexis has ended , I will show some of my other regions, just a peak though with so-called *Bestshots*. They also are all handterraformed and you probably already know one other of them : Lavender, the CJ which I closed because of too little interest. There are exactly 9 of them that I go play in some time. Some of them have more countryside with agricultural domination and others towns and villages, but I also have some that have big and massive Cities.
Anyway, now I will concentrate myself to get the story for Axis updated, because this will be on the menu for the next time.

    Have a good week.
