Hi MrB

i dont post often here 43.gif... but this time I wanted to say WOW !!! the last update with Somy´s giant excavators is great 44.gif

Not only the idea, but the "mise en place". Very well done. It looks quite realistic. I am sure you wont mind if I take some ideas for my own CJ 2.gif

Waiting to see this legendary CJ  arrive to the 100 pages.....

Thanks for dropping in sloppet, bat, p1, Rayden and Leech10

superchad, excellent idea, I will tell this to one of the MacVicar family.

jeronij, hey been awhile, a comment like this from you is an honour to me, thanks.....lol.....of course you can take all the ideas you like, I have been *stealing* quite a few from you....lol

I forgot to add the Retro-Picture of Unfogiven in the last update, so here it is, when it all began with the construction of Highway 4 to the west.

    unforgivenbefore1nn.jpg

....and here is a preview on what is to come in the next update. Axis Harbour, thanks to the Sirius Group and Mr Timotheus (CEO of Sirius Ltd) is today the biggest and busiest harbour on Genesis. Also we visit Syris, just beyond Axis Harbour, the quiet suburbs of the Mega City of Axis (now the third biggest City in this region with a pop of 2.9 Million. Axis harbour now belongs to Axis City, so does a part of Axis South and Hawklyn Valley. (sorry about the black fields on the map, but I don't wanna spoil the fun nor the surprises)

    See you then.

What a great update! The terraforming with that big machine is an excellent idea. The region as a whole looks fantastic!

Edit: Only 3 pages from 100.

sloppet: Everything, good or bad, will have an end at one time, so will Nexis of Genesis. I may continue the story for some time after though, here and there adding something new, just enough to keep it alive, but it will end for sure one day. It is still the oldest CJ still alive and it would be somehow a shame to stop it completely as long as I and you have interest.

GaBoR: We will of course have a look at Gloryville, the former Capitol City, and today only the 4th biggest City in the region, but unluckily for you, this will be almost in the last final update, simply because there's sooooo much to tell and see about the former Capitol.

Thank you for dropping in and leaving a comment jacqulina, cowcorn, collgab and Micah.

p1: yes, Axis City is a Mega-city today and only separated by the Tenzel River from Gloryville.

I decided, before we go on with another update , to have a some kind of intermezzo, while showing you all some more general details, like the position of the major Cities in this region.

Axis south does not exist anymore. It has been added partially to Gloryville and the northern part today belongs today to Axis City. The same happened to Tenzel Outlet, Bolton and Hawklyn valley, all of them being absorbed by either Axis or Gloryville. Only two major cities rule this part of Genesis, Axis and Gloryville.
Although Gloryville once was the biggest City, it had some problems of expanding, limited by either mountains, water or other Cities and therefor it dropped to the 4th place with the 50 years passed.

The biggest City now is New Saphir, named after the Capitol city on Uru and is located out southwest close to the Bearlake. It is a young City, only 45 years old, but has grown rapidly and expanded quickly into a Metropolitain
On the second line is Nexis City, although it is even more limited than Gloryville in space, the City has expanded beyond its limits and invaded every island and peninsula nearby possible. Populationwise, it is only 25,000 less than New Saphir, but in surface it beats New Saphir by 35 %.
Third place belongs to Axis City and Gloryville is a proud fourth. On 5th place comes Pharaon, but there is a giant gap in size between the 4th and 5th place. New Sholes comes right after that.

Pictures added below are of  an older satelite view of the region, many years ago and before mankind even invaded the region. They are divided into 6 parts (pics), because of the immensity of the whole region. First the whole region in one picture to give you an idea what it looks like in one piece and then the six divided parts, three northern sections and three southern.
It should make sense to you now where all the Cities are situated.
I will of course send you an url of the entire region as a giant picture, once the ending is finalized. It is quite something to look at and I am very proud of it, since there are three years of work and play invested in that region of 96 mediumtile cities, many many hundreds of hours of gamplay and terraforming, and two and a half years of CJ storytelling here on Simtropolis. Amazing to look at!

    Enjoy the pics:

Have a nice week and thanks to all who comment and visit.

I won't be able to make a big update this weekend as promissed for the simple reason that I had a little to much to do and I will be going to Sweden for a few days (or a week) on Monday also. But I will be back with the update of the Axis Harbour, Syris and Lichen, the unspoiled place the week after.

Just a little news so you have something to read....lol

Here is a picture for you to enjoy of Smuggler's Cliff, where civilization hasn't invaded nature yet. Situated North of Cedar Bay and south of Grand Falls, Smuggler's Cliff is definitively a hard place to reach. It is right in the middle of the mountains and accessible only by one little road, the Bury's Pass, which most of the time is not even serviced in the wintertime. Hardly anyone comes or travels here, but the City of Nexis City and Grand Dam have plans of extending a Highway into these mountains one day to connect both cities directly.

The fellow you see on the bridge is Tony. He travels this road once every week or so to see if things are safe and the roads are in good conditions, and he also enjoys bringing home the pure waters of the mountain creek below.

    smugglerscliffbridge9pw.jpg

Another headline in today's newspapers on Genesis is that the rulers, gouvernors and mayors will unite tomorrow in a general meeting to discuss the matter of the Gloryville's City Union. Something that most mayor of the adjescent cities would like is to become part of Gloryville, but some important municipal votes are against this idea, coming mostly from Axis City's industrial sector. The former Capitol City wants to unite 12 other townships to form a Megacity, which will be easier to handle, they say. We will keep you informed about this big futur project on Genesis. New Saphir's Mayor believes that this is only to get the Capitol's title back.

Now, what would you folks to see next after the Axis Harbour update? I give you four choices:

    A. Axis City (Hawklyn Valley and Round Lake north)

    B. Gloryville and surroundings (Tenzel,Axis South and White Sands)

    C. Nexis City and the islands (Cedar Bay and airport)

    D. Pharaon and the agricultural west (Naganik Reserve, Lowland, Cherbrook and Cross Canyon)

Sorry, but the Capitol City is reserved for the last update. I need at least five votes for one region to show it , otherwise I will continue with other smaller municipalities for at least three other updates before getting to a bigger City again. It will be ,no matter which one, a mega update.

(hope I will get some more comments this way.......lol) Thanks.

Have a nice weekend and week.

Hm.....3 for Axis and 1 for Gloryville already and none for Pharaon nor Nexis City.....Thanks for the comments.

Well, I thought I might keep you busy while I will be gone next week, so I included some Teaserpics for you. You like teaserpics, don't you?  Maybe that will influence your choice of which update to choose next.

First downtown Axis with its well known canal system that has cost the first mayor so much and it almost declared the City bankrupt........

    1axisnitedowntown6sn.jpg

Then it's the turn of Gloryville and its plaisance harbour, or what's left of it......

    2gloryvillenitedowntown7rg.jpg

Nexis City with its bay is as beautiful and bigger than ever........

    3nexiscitynitedowntown5nb.jpg

....and of course Pharaon City, well, I showed you only the outside of the city, the farms. It is not a big city (more of a big town), but a very imporrtant one, when it comes to shipping merchandise in and around Genesis and its neighbors. You'll see.

    4pharaonnitefarms4uv.jpg

Not on the list to choose from is the Capitol of Genesis, New Saphir, just a glimpse of the 40 year old trainstation and the new one just beside it, built last year.

Have a nice weekend now. 2.gif
