The underpass lots in this thread look great, I could think of many uses in my cities for them.

However, there does not seem to be any progress lately. It may just be that Buddybud has got RLS, but I have seen many other great projects lost, and would not like to see it happen to this one.

BuddyBud you have out shined yourself on this. I was thinking about making mainly eye candy sunken networks like this for my cities to give that appearance...but you actually making them functional. I downloaded your beta version of the first underpasses and cant wait to see how they work. Big fan of the Big dig and this will just make using it tons better. Take ya time on it but pleeeease dont drop the project lol. I have no intention of playing sc5 when it first comes out.. theres just to much great stuff for sc4 still to come .

ardecila : love that sunken rail...going to be real hot...btw I was wondering...could you make a eye candy only version that has that same stuff except a glass see through roof? I think that would be great for Subway systems for down town areas...you know to see in certain spots. Top Notch on that ..that combined with what buddybuds doing combined with the big dig = Sunken Heaven

i'm having problems with buddybud's rural walls set.

1) after juicing and placing in plugins folder (i have a mac and use filejuicer to extract the files) the files do not appear in the power menu as advertised.

2) even if they did appear i'm sure they would appear incorrectly as jeronij's walls (which were listed as dependencies)are no longer vailable on the stex.

Am I sunk?  Any help?

jeronijs walls can now be found on the BSC LEX over at SC4D, check out the forums while youre over there too, theyre great.

thank you freedo, i took a spin over to sc4d and found those walls.  The original walls set appears in the parks menu just fine, but unfortunately buddybuds rural walls still DO NOT appear in the power menu like they should.  Is this a side effect of filejuicer?  Do i need to arrange the files in a specific way?

I had the same problem with both that set, and his other wall set. It is a side effect of File Juicer, and has to do with the file paths in the installer. When the exe "juices" the file names show up with the entire file path, like "Buddybud/SunkenHighwayWalls/Diagonals/Diagonal1.SC4Lot" (this is not a real file name, just an example). For some reason, they won't show up in the game unless you remove everything except the actual file name, so it would be just "Diagonal1.SC4Lot."

well as you guessed RL kicked me in the pants again...hopefully i can get back on track shortly.....but it will take some time to get re-orientated. i've done no work on this stuff in four months so it will be a while to get my head rapped around it again...anyways im back...but dont expect anything right away..cheers

I apologize first and foremost if this has already been asked before, but my eyes grew weary right around page 12 of this thread... 

But can anyone direct me to Marrast Embankment sets?  I searched the STEX under both Marrast and Embankment, but I came up empty.   I am in love with this thread already, and I'm trying to concentrate on much of it a piece at a time.  My brain is just scrambled eggs at the moment.  Thanks!

i must apologize....

heres the story..and it comes with a picture....a very ugly picture.

i have a rediculous amount of hard drive space and have become lazy in terms of backing up everything in the last 6 months...i have not had anywhere to back it up to...... just to much to deal with so ...this was my back up drive... i got a dvd burner a while back and finally spent last night cleaning up harddrive space and moving things around....sadly before i managed to get much off of my harddrive this happened...im not to sure what exactly it is....i think the fat or master boot sector of this 200gig drive got corrupted by some hidden menace that ive yet to identify. i am presently running some harddrive recovery utilities but its looking grim. all of my stuff was there...ALL of it including all the bats i collected and all the utilities and such....im not even sure if i can remember the password i used at simcity.com cause its been over a year since i last went there.....im really really really really upset....there was much more on this drive that i wont be able to easily replace....this is not to say im leaving or anything but this is the second time something like this has happened to me in just over a year....i should know better...the irony is i just got a job as a entry level help desk guy at Dell last week....lol...god hates me.....arghhhhhhhh.....

so what to do....ill keep you updated....cheers

Oh dear, that looks pretty ugly indeed. Well, the only comfort I can give you that you're by far not the only BATter/lot designer/modder who lost his entire work because he/she didn't make any backups. I think the last victim I know was Don Miguel, who lost everything he was working on just a couple of days ago. And now excuse me, while I'm fetching my backup drive from the closet and run my backup software once again... I don't have enough space to backup everything, but at least my own files are safe...

well the good news is that maxis still replies to its forgotten password requests....now i have to check out where to find gmax...lol....

i did a sector by sector, cluster by cluster check of each of the three partitions on the drive over the last 2 hours.....all i came up with was a bunch of broken files.....virus checks all came up negative which is good. but im still unsure of what exactly happened here. 

so much of the underpass stuff was pretty much ready to be put together and released....i really am at odds as where to start now....though atleast mystuff was simple in appearance and i still have the ability to redo what i want too....i guess im open to sugestions yet again......

since im starting completely over.......requests are welcome.......underbridge or underpass..that is the question.....ill be back later...can i start a pole? hmmm.
